Definitely feel free to use any of my videos if they are useful in your Any% tutorials, Weskurrr!

Speaking of Guac Classic Any%, here is a ~20 second optimization. Bagel informed me about a month ago that he was able to acquire Dimension Swap and Pollo Power in reverse order by closing and reopening the game at a specific time. I couldn't find a way to make that reversal faster back then, but revisiting the idea again this morning yielded positive results. Thanks for the lead, Bagel! Check the video notes and annotations for route details:
I knew there was something in there that could be used! Nice find PT. Smiley
Nice find, dude! And with that chest in desert, we're golden (heh) on the money route.
Was just watching on somebody's stream and saw that Khaled has an in-game any% time of 40 minutes! :O Congrats! What was your RTA if you don't mind me asking, or did you not time it?

Hello my fellow speedrunners! I am one week new to this game, being inspired through all of your run videos. I run over the xbox one console, and i tail just behind Khaled, in second place as the second fastest speed runner on there (for now atleast). But i really love the things you find here guys! I respect every single one of you, and happy running! Smiley Oh and my time is 57:13 so far

ps. is this a place where i can post xbox one STCE edition skips and tricks possibly?
Welcome Tachyon, nice to see you here. Congrats on breaking sub-hour so quickly!

This thread is a great place to share both strats and progress. STCE is still largely undocumented as a speedrun, so posting routing findings will help a lot of us runners. I will have another opportunity to play STCE this evening (and maybe tomorrow), and plan on posting some routing details myself. Lots of huge skips are possible, as we have already experienced Smiley
Thank you Pro, and an even bigger thank you for putting up with myself, trying to process all of these SDG possibilities in my head! I cannot wait to get a chance to converse with some of the runners! Just ran a 47:51 now! Found a new strat!
There is now a gamer with a 36:09 on STCE by the name of MR FLY23! Crazy huh! May have found a new arena skip in the tulu tree, hope to post it!
Hi guys. I picked up this game a couple of days ago, and have started practising techniques. I just wanted to ask your opinions on controller choice. I've been using the PS3 controller, but the analogue trigger is making swaphopping difficult. Before I go buying alternatives, have you found a controller that objectively works best?
It all comes down to preference.  Some of us use the DS3, some use the 360 controller, Protongue uses the Wii Classic Pro.  As far as swap hopping, just keep practicing.  The rhythm takes a while to learn and get down consistent, but it's really natural once you do get it.
Grats Pro on getting 36:13 on STCE!
Thanks! I'll keep working at it and see how things go from there

Welcome Pessimistic Mango! I second Anil8r's statement - use a controller you generally enjoy and you can make it work. Just these past two weekends I've played Super Turbo Championship Edition on an Xbox One controller, and making the transition to analog trigger swap hopping went all right with some practice.

Thanks Tach! It was an all right attempt, but this time can easily come down several more minutes. I will post STCE routing notes sometime tomorrow.

Just a note about STCE, using an external save file to set SDG warp regions and exiting the game to set warp indices means disparity between in-game time and real time. To reduce in-game time, one can perform actions that actually take considerably more real time. Keep this in mind when assessing STCE leaderboard times (including my attempt today)!

Hey pro, did you optimize the one we had? i did aswell, hopefully we can compare tomorrow!
Is anyone doing a 100% glitchless run on the super turbo championship edition? Because on the xbox one leaderboards I'm ranked 3rd, and was wondering if anyone else was trying this?

Hey guys! Here is a huge skip i found in the xbox one STCE edition. Hope you enjoy! It will save 5 minutes atleast. Smiley

Hey again! Here is another tulu tree skip i found! There is another skip above it used by all of you guys, but i have not seen anybody use this one? If so im sorry! But here you go Smiley

Hey Tachyon,

Great stuff in the videos, that Pico De Gallo skip is pretty sick! Gets me thinking, we're gonna have to start thinking of all the different categories for STCE: SDG, SDG multiple save files, no SDG (multiple that all by 2 when you include 1p2c strats). Times it by 2 for normal and hard, and times 2 again for any% and 100%... we're looking at 24 different categories :o.

Also, for the Tule Tree skip, I do something similar in my 100% run; another cool one which you might not have seen is here at 33:40 into the run: http://www.twitch.tv/friedeel/c/4531321 (note, it's important to do the swap hop at 33:55 too to avoid the arena).

Hope it's useful!
We might see some new categories for STCE, Eel. Personally, playing a traditional Any% seems more interesting than using pre-made saves.

That being said, here is a pre-made saves route draft. It incorporates Khaled's Temple of War skip as well as some warp indices verified by Tachyon.

Let me know if you find any issues or new optimizations for the route!

The following is the result of Turbodog optimizing Chupa Mountain and me playing around with it. Coming in as Pollo and Swap Hopping for the horizontal start will be essential here, as it is likely the best way (for now) to save ~2 seconds in this section. Free time, EZ life:

Didn't get to test out more combinations of swap-hopping and platforming due to not having much time, but there it is.

When's PC STCE
''

Another skip if doing a non SDG run on the console! Saves about 30 seconds!

Another Pico Skip, saving about 15 seconds.

Ps. thanks Pro for making the SDG route on the console Smiley I ran an insane 34:22 today!

Awesome collaboration results, Turbodog and Weskurrr. Looking forward to incorporating the swap hop platforming into that climb.

Congrats Tach! That's a really strong in-game time.

Regarding the Pico de Gallo skips, is it possible to skip most of that region altogether? While in Sierra Morena, instead of dropping down into the Pico de Gallo entrance, swap hop upwards to the Pico de Gallo exit. From there, you should be able to drop down, grab Goat Fly, and then exit the way you entered.
Yeah thats possible, but is that done on the pc? if so i dont think it should be reposted

Pico de Gallo is new to STCE. I mentioned that skip in case anyone was not aware of it. It allows you to avoid the platforming sections in your videos.
