Just got an amazing run! Final time is 1:26:50.

This is only the second time i sub 1:27 so i'm very very happy with this one!

Silent Hill 2

On Monday I set a new in game time PB of 56 minutes. As I mentioned, the minute I saved on the boat stage alone really did make a huge difference on the overall time. The other minute just came from doing the stages more optimally.  However the staggering improvement came from the run did I did today.

The run today was absolutely fantastic. I couldn't believe it as most splits (even the ones where I made minor mistakes) were gold. I initially thought that the game was loading faster than usual (this has caused WSplit to be inaccurate in the past) but nope, it turned out that I must have been playing incredibly well along with luck being on my side (I got the RNG code puzzle the first try)

In game time: 0h 54m 30s | Real time: 1 h 13m and 27s

The WR for this particular category is 48 minutes. I'd like to see myself get a run in the very low 50 min mark eventually.
Max Payne 2

Been practicing Max Payne 2 a bit lately, there was a new skip found which shaves ~40s off the run. It's really consistent and i've not had any trouble adapting to it. It's pretty fun to watch too as it breaks a cutscene allowing you to walk through walls, and then gives you invincibility for the next two stages! This actually makes one of the later skips easier.
Final Fantasy VII

I was having an average run that included Vincent and Yuffie and got a 2:57:32. According to my splits, getting both of the optional characters takes around 11 minutes. I can still improve the overall time with some more practice by several minutes but not by too much (5-10 minutes at most, I would estimate). I am also using an English PC version right now as I assume that this will be the language version of the game if this run is chosen for ESA.
Quote from Kotti:
Titan Quest : We'll probably try doing a test run to see what would happen with the worst possible shoe shopping luck, it's probably not that critical because we also get a bunch of speed buffs from the skill trees.
Did a completely shoeless run, got 1:41. We've got the non-random bit down so well now that the shoes are not that important to the run, though they'd definitely save a few minutes throughout the run.
Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour: My PB has gone down to 1:13:25 since last time I posted. I've now got strats for all courses and I am working on consistency for the harder holes. I expect to get down to 1:10 soon.

Quite happy with that time. Roughly a minute to save from execution at the first glance (might be more). The one big RNG room went 100% perfect though and will most likely cost time in the future. Sub 36 would be pretty great and I'm definitely trying to stay at it.
Final Fantasy X

2 new PBs recently, 10:36:54 on Monday, and I just beat that today with 10:35:40.
You can never run enough games
Super Mario Galaxy: Last sunday I did a run and got a 2:48:49. It was a very solid run, and I haven't done more attempts since. I will go and learn some more tricks, but I'm confident that consistent sub-2:50 will be possible by ESA. (Original Submission time: 3:02:45, Original Estimate: 3:10:00, Current PB: 2:48:49 (-4:13), New Estimate: 3:00:00)

Super Mario Galaxy 2: I did quite a few run attmpts this week. Although I didn't get a PB, I am getting runs consistently that are ahead going into the later game, but some levels are causing me difficulties in being consistent without dying. So again No PB, but I'm confident I will strat improving soon. (Original submission time: 4:44:43, Original Estimate: 4:10:00, Current PB: 3:52:25 (+-0), New Estimate: 3:50:00)

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger: Only got a couple of attempts in this week, and none of them made it past the first couple of areas, due to failing a trick a lot in attempts. I need to re-learn the timing for quite a few skips since I changed from PAL to NTSC, but this should be simple enough with some practice. (Original Submission Time: 2:06:10, Original Estimate: 1:45:00, Current PB: 1:17:32 (-6:21), New Estimate: 1:20:00)

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption: Still steadily improving in this game, My play isn't consistently good in my PB, but from learning a few new timesavers and some practice, sub-3:30 should come pretty soon. (Original Submission Time: 4:03:44, Original Estimate: 4:00:00, Current PB: 3:32:46 (-1:19), New Estimate: 3:45:00)

Didn't do as many runs as I would have liked this week, although illness in the early part of this week meant I didn't have enough time or energy really. I'll put more focus into re-learning some stuff for Ty, and more SMG2 attempts next week, with maybe just 1 run each of MP3/SMG so that I can get all my games a bit more consistently good play.
3D Dot Game Heroes NG+ any%

Did a run after couple of weeks of not touching the game, and accidentally got a new PB. The run started bad, but because of very nicely executed last dungeon, I improved my PB by a couple of minutes. Now I'm heading for sub 2:20:00. Estimate can be safely set to 2:45:00.

The run can be wathed here: http://www.twitch.tv/arzgasrl/c/3969706

Spyro 2 14 talismans

I finally broke my curse of not being able to sub 30 ( i seriously only got runs that were 30:1x in the past two days.). 29:59.64 only, though i feel much better about the category now. Sum of best Segments is down to 28:12.

Gotta continue working on the category the next days.

New PB/WR today. http://puu.sh/7Nn54.png
I suggest the estimate for this run is upped to 1:50:00, seeing as consistency is going to be a little troublesome, and because there's a lot of enemy rng.

This is also a great multiplayer game, and might be something for the second stream if there's time.
Donkey Kong Country Returns

I started derust% this week and did four runs.
run 1.  1:46:17
run 2.  1:39:23
run 3.  1:38:39
run 4.  1:37:26
Nazo no Murasame Jou

I finally took the step to buy a GBA SP which has been a huge boost, since my old GBAs d-pad was semi-broken. I have been able to practise more on the go now as well.

Going to set-up my streaming hardware so I can stream more often from now on so hopefully there will be more runs on my Twitch page in the future.

Also, still in the middle of planning no-reset backup strats for the marathon.
Truljin @ Twitch
Outlaws - Finally got a new run of 24:08 from my old 26:04, new WR but can still be improved with better execution and using the hardest dynamite boost in the game.

Beyond Good & Evil - Still practicing this but going quite well, will start doing full runs soon and expect to get a good time of it.
Hello friends!

I submitted Tales of Symphonia in NG+ for ESA. The game can be played by 4 players in the same time during the fights, but of course I play alone in the run. But for ESA, it could be interesting for viewers to see other runners playing with me in fights. That’s why I write this message to ask you if you would be interested in.

For example, maybe people could vote, with donations, for who plays with me. Of course it would be impossible if there weren’t a list of people that agree to stay during the run. That’s why even if we are only in March, I ask you today to have a first idea of who would be interested to be in this list.

The hardest part is that the game is 7 hours long. There are moments with entire minutes without fights for a break. You don’t need to know how to play, I can learn you in a side room before the run. Basically it’s not hard, and even if the fights are quick, I will do the things a little slower in order to let you enjoy the fights a little. There will be 30 seconds instead of 20. x)

The estimate of 7 hours already include this actually The game is really faster, like 6:35 with a good run.

Half-Life 2: Episode 1: There were new strats found lately. Saves around 2:45 in the first map which is completely cutscenes so that's a good thing. Also around 30s of other route improvements. I've completed 3 full runs, all of them were around 42min mark. I'm also working on a segmented run of this game so that gives good practise.

Dark Messiah: Started to do runs again. First run was horrible but I got back to my old level after some practise.

Half-Life 2: Episode 2: New strats found to skip 2 cutscene maps but saving and loading is needed to do that so I think S. would prefer to race me in the SS route rather than the new one.

Half-Life 2: Also new strats found, skips around 4min (see http://www.reddit.com/r/speedrun/comments/21mqdd/thanks_to_a_trick_found_in_hl2_by_margen67_sub140/). Gonna look into this later.

HI Baffan

I would like to join your tales of symphonia play if there are breaks in the run it is ok I guess. Cheesy
I have played the other Tales games so I know how the combat system works. Wink

And :

Deus Ex Human Revolution Director's Cut

Did a run with the new glitches and got 1:28:15 as new PB (WR : 1:27:37)
Did 3mins of mistakes so getting sub 25 soon is not a big deal. Smiley

Borderlands 1
World Record got improved again by Pentaleks (video : http://www.twitch.tv/pentaleks/c/3952597)
My Personal Best is still the same and hasn't got improved in more than 2 months now, and it's now +12min from WR.
I am honestly starting to think about giving up on this game. I still wanna improve my PB at least (before even considering getting close to WR), but in my opinion, if I can't improve my PB, I guess I won't be a good choice for ESA (that is still just my opinion, technically, I have one of the best knowledge in the game, it's just my performance that is bad)
FrankerZ
GTA: Vice City 100%

Did a no reset run that ended in 8:35:52. No game crashing issues but a few hiccups. Still plenty of breathing room.

Will start work on my other games in the next week or two so keep an eye out
Otogi 2: Immortal Warriors

Been testing a lot of stuffs in otogi 2 and found some new setups and strats. No new pb at the moment because im trying out new stuff but should be able to get a pb without problem when i go for it.
Also my stream is derping again and i can't stream xbox games =.='

Feels like I'm updating too often now.
Improved my pb to 2:26:11, easy to get sub 2:25 since I missed a big trick, but I'll keep aiming for sub 2:20 atleast, would be great to know what you're doing about oot at esa but I'll guess I'll get to know that in april.
