was running with the mouse on the carpet ( I don't have a desk at my parents ) so that probably didn't help. It took a couple of hours to get that clip twice.
Okay that's gonna be a pain to grind then, can you save right after getting the clip (I'm not sure if you can save during the prologue)? We could segment there and then try to get past the guards by getting lucky.
The box clip at SARIF plant by the ladder i was talking about.
Also had a play around with the no clip mod - if you have a ps3 controller you can use scp/motioninjoy/betterds3 to make it pretend it is an xbox360 controller.
Ah cool clip! Looks a little strange with the sideways oob movement, was it hard to get?
I only have a cheap controller, but it has pretty much all the buttons a XBOX 360 controller has, so I'll try to make it work. How well does the no clip mod work?
What about the skip in the police station ? I used explosives to get out but maybe we can use a barrel for that. Plus you don't have to stun the two officers outside the building.
By the way if you are going for a segmented run, you can permanently backup the autosaves by renaming the save file (autosaves don't add +0.5s to the time by SDA rules).
I'm pretty sure that route is slower, because you go through the sewers. Maybe we can do the clip and run back like normally? We can try to get lucky when leaving the police station, but there are so many guards that it might be impossible (although we will have the two +150hp). I'm going to mess around with the police station today, see if I can survive.
I think the +0.5 per manual save penalty is a little stupid, but I guess we'll have to try and use autosaves as much as possible. Some clips (like the funicular clip) are going to be too much of a grind though.
Yeah I roughly estimate that my route is 10s slower. Going back the normal way (+ no cloak) seems to be the way to go. However I'm not sure how to clip out of the morgue. For the funicular clip, you cannot (as far as I know) save before that anyways (because the map won't load if you do).
You can save before the funicular clip without any issues, I just tried it.
EDIT: Just got the clip in the station and I got the barrel clip out of the morgue as well, I'm trying to find a way now to survive running out. I'm streaming here: http://www.twitch.tv/labbekak
The guard with the shotgun right in front of the door of the police station needs to be zapped for sure. If he is zapped then it's not that hard to run out. The first guard inside of the police may also need to be zapped on the way out, he seems to kill me everytime.
EDIT2: At Adam's appartment 1 I managed to skip the elevator ride by clipping out of the hallway at the appartment. With Icarus you can safely land and jump to the door, but without Icarus you die. I managed to land without dying 2 times, you land for 1s and then fall down. I think it might be possible to survive the fall and jump to the door. I'll post some vids soon.
EDIT3: Police station
EDIT4: Detroit appartment
EDIT5: Got the clip without Icarus! You just need to air control to the front of the door and clicking use it before falling in the void. This clip will save the elevator ride down, so 10 or 20s. http://www.twitch.tv/labbekak/c/5771295
EDIT6: Do the above clip on the other door (in front of the broken elevator) and then air strafe to outside, then use the door while falling. It's faster and safer. http://www.twitch.tv/labbekak/c/5771445
Also note that this clip is possible with a barrel (this saves a few seconds but is way harder). It should be possible to get out of the map before malik dies if everything happens perfectly (maybe) - if not tossing a gas grenade should buy enough time for malik to not die. It is also possible to jump straight over the ladder rather than onto the other pillar (a little faster), but the jump is more precise.
That is fucking awesome Apjjm! drMalcom: if you would clip through that wall then you would still be slower than the other clip, because of all the running down, so I guess it doesn't matter much if that clip works.
Duuh.. yeah of course. (I'm really out of the loop, I need to watch that speedrun tutorial).
Anyways, here is the script that I've been using to enable ghost mode (in vanilla). You will need Cheat Engine. Put the .CT file in "Documents/My Cheat Tables", attach CE to DXHR and click "yes" when asked whether to run the lua. You can then toggle ghost mode with K and move with mouse+V. WASD also kinda works when in ghost mode.
Edit: demo video
It's not as good as the other hack, but it doesn't require a controller.
I haven't tried that yet, but I have tried Hensgha 1 Harverster's Hideout and Convention Center both will just not load the later areas. Have you tried it?

I haven't, just wanted to ask if someone tried it before not to waste time on it if it doesn't work. Yeah, Convention Centre and Hideout were a bummer, tried them yesterday just for shits and giggles.
Nope, doesn't work, at least for me. Nothing loads when you clip, you can walk on invisible stairs and see through walls into the streets but that's it. I guess this location loads as part of Detroit 2 or game checks for your progress in it's files.
UPD: it does load, I was just clipping the wrong way (through the wall, not the fence itself).
UPD 2: my game crashes as soon as I go to the sewer level.
IDK if anyone has found this clip in singapore prior but if the Trigger for Namir to spawn is found this could potentially save 10 seconds maybe more UPDATE: The skip is the exact same skip in DC but with the setup I did in the Video. It brings you to Megan's Room and the rest of the game doesn't softlock.
No, but someone with Cheat Engine knowledge could easily make one by copying the HR autosplitter and using the Steamgroup address to figure out where to split.
