WR is possible without it methinks also. HRH is always faster though correct? So if you had a theoretical perfect run on PC, HRH would still improve that assuming all other things are equal.

Being the nearly only living heir to the PS3 runners stable, I'm far from the one to ask about HRH stuff, but that seems like it would be the case.

Scrivener, HRH would always be faster than a non-HRH run since you can use it to get the HoH skip and save 3-4 minutes on the run. A "perfect" PC run would be HRH on the first drop.

You guys can see the run on teliots twitch page, but he hasn't highlighted it yet. The execution was pretty slick.

More than a 3 minute improvement over the last record. I think I will make a commented, higher video quality version and post it on youtube, because I don't expect this run to be beaten for a while. Not that it can't be beaten, I think up to 2 minutes could be taken off in theory, but I'm not sure if anybody is going to want to do the Hat farming necessary. Thanks to volf4321 for telling me that angle jumping through the gate makes the skip more consistent. I have no idea why it does, but I can get it every time now.

I want to just do run after run but its demorilizing when half an hour into the run and hill runners hat wont drop but ohh im in full force now

Congrats sir! Very impressive run.

I'm going for sub 2 hour and after that I may play around going for an even better time. The HRH grind doesn't kill me that much, it's kind of ok with me to set aside 2 hours to play the game and if the Hat doesn't drop I do something else for 90 minutes, no big.

Congrats on the run teliot will watch in full when twitch cooperates with me my internet is rubbish at the moment.

I´m mostly interested in the 1999 mode run I was wondering is it even plausible to do a good run if you skip so many upgrades so to speak my concern is that the last fight will be a royal pain if you don`t have enough salts and some potions are really helpful to end fights faster!?
Has anyone done 1999 mode run were all skips are implemented?
Would like to discuss what is possible for that, if anyone is up for it:)?

Just wondering is the controller layout locked more or less on xbox as welll?
I work with a ps3 and the thing that bothers me the most is that you can NOT fully customise the button layout!

This was before the gate skip, so a run today would actually be a lot easier. The lady comstock fights are some of the hardest. I collect max salt upgrades, but no health or armor ones.

I was wondering about salt and health upgrades, that is easy to remember.

2:21:49 yesterday for new fastest PS3 time.

Got Factory Skip/Comstock Gate insanely quick. HoH/Turret Skip/Ending sequence were derpy and terrible, making it the most embarrassing good time in the history of good times.

And I got to ask I tried to watch the run but it stops buffering at 28 min and then jumps to around 50 min and stops buffering completely tried watching it a couple of times but same result, is there any settings on twitch that can fix this problem, have had similar problem a couple of days now!?

If anyone is interested in improving BaS 1 time, I finally managed to skip the Skyhook cutscene.

Shouldn't be too hard with a setup. Just get on the round part that sticks out and jump towards the rounded wall, if you get on it jump back on the sign and over the gate. I aim down sight just before I hit the wall but I don't think it's neccessary.
First try should save ~30+ seconds.

I know all the hype is on the "angle" method but this is the more consistent method I've had for Comstock Gate. Basically the same setup I described earlier but now with VOD. Basically. forego the volley gun shield break and treat it like HoH skip...get within 2 rocket shots of suicide, shield break, wait a second to give yourself time to regen shield before death and pull the trigger. RIP

That's kinda strange. Twitch stores videos in 30-minute segments, so every 30 minutes it has to switch over to a different file, which usually means that it doesn't buffer past each 30-minute point.

Just a question in 1999 mode the fight at the private docks I having trouble figuring out the best combo on the handyman any tips I don´t pick up undertow and use the skip at plaza of zeal so no charge!?
Is their any gear that is not allowed during the run and not to be a pain but I´m new still.

I found something I think, not sure this works on all platforms, but the vigors menu can be used at one place that I know of to your advantage.
I´m not sure this has already been brought up before but I noticed that at Beggars warf when you chase Elisabeth when she opens the first tear you cant do any thing about it, but the next two can be manipulated if you open the vigors menu for a short time once or twice you shorten the animation but its timing, its not a huge time saver just a couple of seconds or so, tell me if this is already common knowledge don't want to repeat what you all already know.

Vigors menu can be used in monument tower when Song Bird shows in the elevator if you open the vigors menu 2-3 times a short period you can get rid of him faster you do not have to wait threw the entire animation bet that is not the correct term but it works tried it a couple of times now.
I think this only works on console though.

I run this game on 1999 mode all the time maybe once out of 10 times i do an easy run, so yes I have both possesion and Devils kiss have not yet found away threw song bird I was really close clipping threw him using the menu but it just started to lag insanely Tongue

It was pretty funny but it was kinda scary for a sec thought it was going to chrash or something only once out of like 10-15 tries has it happened to me though.
I´ll try to capture it so I can show you next time if it happens again.
