For the Nave 1 ceiling clip I had jump bound to mouse-scroll up/down and crouch bound to F. (Left Ctrl works too but I can spam F faster.)

I just walked (no run) into the wood beam spamming jump and crouch.

Hey there, nice find you found there, here's my opinion:

1- For the Kaernk one, it will definitely be in the run from now on, it's faster and pretty easy to execute.
2- Refinery is a bit unreliable if you want to avoid damage and the door is real far from the ceiling ledge so it seems a bit risky but worth consideration.
3- The Nave route is really unstable but can save a lot of time but you have to consider it's pretty late in the game(do you want to throw a run that you have succeed Sewer, perfect cycle morgue, flawless entrance of the cistern jump and double barrel Archive tunnel(if your going for this strat which is my case)).

Overall though, they all worth practice in my opinion, I'll get on those and give a less unprecise report.
Gratz again!
Was anyone aware that there's a pig in TDD? I just found out today and had quite a bit of fun with him.

This was probably my favorite part: http://www.twitch.tv/nosfera_2/c/4957763

Anyway, the pig is in Prison North next to the acid pit. In the same room there's a tiny cauldron with the same physics as the bucket from Cells.

Yeah, I knew, but in my opinion, the best item in the game, stay the shovel Tongue !

So I tested things out and here's what I think:
Kaernk is definitely a Go.
Refinery is getting reliable after some practice, though, it's hard trying to avoid the most damage, if you barely fail the jump, it could cost a lot because of the damage involve with archive tunnel and the staircase jump from overjump damage(occur rarely but if all combine, can slowdown sometime) but since it's early in the game, restarting at this point isn't that big of a deal.
Nave is a bit tricky and I can't seem to get the second jump without heavy damage reliably(if I can avoid using the laudanum from the morgue there, it would be ideal, since using 2 laudanum for the inner sanctum is almost essential).

But they seems all really doable, thanks for those men!!!
I was messing around in Storage today, found a new clip and made a new route out of it.

Damn Dat new route, where were you when this game was active XD !!!

Destroying AMFP Tongue and I think TDD will always be somewhat "active". It's a fun run to learn even with some of the worse parts (I'm looking at you sewers you piece of shit.) and as you can see with a broken game/engine like this there's always new stuff to find. Even if it's not helpful but just plain out fun to do Tongue

Yeah I agree, btw, have you seen the old sewer route, used to be way worst before I found the new trick, Apjjm and I almost though it was not SS reliable, so I was doing run and as soon as I had the sewer, even it the run went poorly, it was a good run Tongue , but now at least, it's a like 60% chance of success Tongue ! Are you still running this ShadowDraft?

PS: I haven't played a machine for pigs yet, I think I should pretty soon Tongue !

I'm not actively running at the moment. I've been glitch hunting in AMFP a hole lot. But I'll always come back to Amnesia even if it's infuriating me.
So I was testing the bookcase clip in Storage today and found another clip and made an even better route out of it.

Now I just boost off the boxes to get OOB instead of stacking 2 of them. Also, during the clip to get back into bounds right before the 2 rods it's easy to trigger the slowdown while OOB so be careful of that.

Dude, really nice work!
I've been testing Adam_ak's Morgue route from a few years ago and decided to make a video on it. I've only seen the one video of it here in the forums so if none of this is new just disregard.

Not much has changed in Morgue with the exception of the clip back in bounds, but I did decided to include Cistern Entrance in the video since I needed to do the clip differently because of the slowdown. Overall I think this route is consistent enough for SS.
New clip with a setup explanation for Nave 2.

We were thinking about the timing method.
Its overly complicated and sort of inaccurate as well (Finding the frame where you hit the doors not to speak about the other ways of entering new areas.)
Is there anyone who would like to stick to this method of IGT or can we switch to RTA with out Loadscreens. (Count out all the frames where you can see the loadscreen)
That should be a much clearer way of timing things.

Thoughts?
I'm with Walrus on this one. I was under the impression load screens were taken out of PC games because the time it takes to load a new map can vary.
As long at the time it takes to get from a door click to the load screen is constant between SSD and non-SSD users, I don't understand why that time would be taken out.
The same concept applies to death warps in Study, Choir and Chancel 1. There just doesn't seem to be any variation in the time it takes to respawn from a death.

What?
When timing the segmented run the fade-out/in time was included in the timing as you can take damage during that point which would effect the run. I instead looked for the first frame of the loading screen (or if you are using a recording program which fails to record the loading screen properly, the first instance of the duplicate frame that takes the place of the loading screen).

Note that it would be possible to mod the game scripts to give you a run time at the end of the game very easily without loading times, if you would like.

I asked if Fatalis could look into making a autosplit plugin for LiveSplit. Should be the better solution imo.

So I guess we could make a Leaderboard on Speedrun.com that had the No Loadscreens as the timing method if you guys are fine with this?

If you time my run(s), sure! Tongue

Yeah I can time people with decent times.
I guess the only difference for runs is gonna be that the first Choir Death warp and The Study death warp are actually wasting a few seconds.

Working on this. Can someone that knows the game and load screen timing add me on Steam? /id/fatalis
Totally rad

I found this a long time ago, but could never figure out how to do it consistently. Cool improvement on the OOB Morgue route as well, though the biggest issue with it is getting on top of the corridor at the start (right after going OOB). Awesome job Smiley
Here's a route I've been working on for Sewers (sorry but its not safer than the standard route)

1st clip OOB - Relatively safe with the setup I use.

1st clip in-bounds - Somewhat risky but not random. With enough practice the clip can be hit every time.

2nd clip OOB - This is where most of the risk comes from. The wall is as weak as the one in Chancel 2 so the clip is consistent but surviving is extremely difficult. I jump as I clip through the wall then start running diagonal right and spam jump to get a good boost and slowly look right to get into the corner.

Finished load removal plugin for LiveSplit. Just type the game's name in the splits editor and click Activate (you don't have to download anything). Only supports latest Steam version and doesn't currently auto-split. more info
