I was really careful putting in my estimates. But noticed later that setup time would be accounted for. You can probably drop 10 minutes of all my runs i guess.
no decision is ever final until the marathon actually happens lol
and making a petition isn't really going to help if you'r enot going to list any reasons why the game should make it back in; it'll only make you look more desperate and salty
They did not say that at all, please don't make shit up..

Secondly, trying to change their minds by starting a petition with the justification "runner is a beast" is literally the worst possible course of action.
Posting an actually thought-out argument about why the game would be a good game to be considered for AGDQ. See Claudes FFT post earlier in the thread for a good example. (I have no opinion on FFT myself, but that was a good post)

That's the difference in communites.
I also wanted to post on Claude's behalf, if any RPG was to get into the marathon this year it should be FFT. I won't go over the specifics ( see Cyghfer's post) but as a viewer of a game that I never played casually and used to find boring as hell, I find myself stuck in Claude's streams. I generally head that direction in hopes that DKC2 is being run, and when it's not I fully intend to leave. Due to Claude's knowledge of the game and upbeat, informative commentary I sit there awe struck by a game beloved by many not only because it's nostalgia but the greatness of the run. It would be a shame if he didn't get to run this game at AGDQ.

That's basically no different from:
Quote from mikwuyma:
Here are some phrases I would advise against.
"I worked really hard on this" - I hope you did, or you are going to, or else your run shouldn't even be considered in the first place.
re: DBZ budokai, i'm not mike but i think i have a good idea of the deal there
you have to understand this - fighting game speedruns have just about the worst reputation of anything in this community. they largely come down to abusing AI patterns and landing basic high-damage combos, and are repetitive as hell. you would have to argue that budokai completely breaks that mold for it to have any chance at all.
if i didn't hear any such arguments, i would just say "oh hey a fighting game" and toss it in the reject pile without a second thought. they're that bad.
Throwing in another vote to reconsider Claude for FFT. The game is really interesting to watch, whether you're new to the game or a veteran, and Claude's amazing commentary can easily make the cutscenes/pauses interesting.
Also, since it has been said that Claude is not going to attend SGDQ, it is all of the more reason to reconsider him for this years AGDQ. It makes no sense to have to wait an entire year for FFT to be reconsidered.

There is a game i think should be reconsidered (I might be the lone guy on this one though lol) but Simpson's Hit & Run. I submitted this to the recent SGDQ with a 2:30:00 estimate and it got past first round cuts so i figured with someone (Pet_Petiguana) who is gonna submit it with a 2:00:00 estimate it had a way better shot. I understand that you're first point would be "It is too much like GTA" but why wouldn't that stop other GTA games from getting in if they are all similar. Another argument is probably that it isn't as popular as the GTA games. Although that is true it is actually rising in popularity as of late. When I submitted it to SGDQ there were maybe 3-4 runners of the game since then there is about 12-13 runners. Also this was ran at a marathon that averaged 90 viewers. During the Hit & Run run we hit about 191. So entertainment is there as well. Just thought i'd throw in my argument for the run since i stopped running it (i might still be bias) but i think it is entertaining enough for GDQ consideration.
I would make better reasons if I knew why the game got cut.
If you can't think of any reasons to support the game itself (besides OMG THE RUNNER IS AWESOME), you shouldn't really say anything in the first place; this only hurts its already-miniscule chances of getting back in
EDIT: Actually I'm surprised you haven't been banned or anything, for really silly posts like:
