drogbass: Kart games haven't done so well in the past because they can be a little slow, but I do like the  of retro tracks versus new tracks as a bid war, and some of those shortcuts are pretty cool. I'll put it on the list for now.

I saw what you said about wanting to have a glitch run in MK64 so I figured I'd throw this out there.

I was wondering if instead of a bid war for new / retro. I ran new and did a glitch run (Incorporating the strats in the video (I can get these 4 very consistently)

I also had a few different ideas for donation incentives (in addition to my earlier ones)
-The Mii Name (Shows before & after every race + the final results screen)
-A donation goal for 1 Custom track GP speedrun (A bunch of tracks have been ported from previous mario kart games and made playable through riivolution. There are also some brand new fan made tracks that are nintendo quality as well.)(I'll bring my wii and have it ready to go if you think this is interesting at all.)
-A donation goal for a 4 player gp between some of us at the event (It was hyped as could be when they did it at ESA)(I talked to toufool about playing and he said he'd be cool with it, still have a few others to ask)(Could also be something for the bonus stream)
-I'm going to be bringing and using a custom sprayed gamecube controller so donations could go towards that as a raffle prize. (I'm planning on making a few of them to use as raffle prizes whether or not I run)
-And finally if you're still looking for a bid war there could be a bid war for using either Funky Kong or Rosalina.

Thanks for the consideration for this, I appreciate it a lot.

Edit: I know the doubt with this game might be the amount it can bring in but I can almost assure you with
-the size of the competitive MKWii community
-it's the most popular game on the wii (in terms of copies sold)
-my commentary is very good (sorry if i come across a bit arrogant lol) (I know all there is to about the game)
-the amount of cool shortcuts, skips, and random destruction that can come at any time
would make a great watch.

I'd like to submit 2 games:

1. Minesweeper 99 mines [Estimate 5 minutes] - It's a game everyone has at least played or heard of, but not many realize that there are strats and set ups to this age old game just like any modern game. Can commentate on these while playing.

2. Lost Kingdoms Any% [Estimate 1 hour] - It's a card based, adventure JRPG heavy on the RNG battle-wise but it has a few tricks to mitigate bad luck.

Hey guys! I'm going to be fairly new to the marathon scene and I wanted to offer two games.

1. Luigi's Mansion - (Any% No Out of Bounds) [Estimate: 1:10:00] This is a category that has been improved vastly over the past year. I have the World Record for this category at 1:02:17 which is 11 minutes faster than the submission made to this lovely website. I decided to put this one down because this category in particular isn't as long as 100%, and it's never been done before. Video:

2. James Bond 007: Nightfire [Estimate: 1:00:00] During the year up until about May 2013, this game got cracked wide open. While not very long, it should provide some decent entertainment as it's a pretty glitchy game due to OoB routes, and clipping methods. What to come: http://www.twitch.tv/veman3000/c/2285996 and

I truly hope to participate with you guys. <3

Hi there, only 1 game to offer here

Runner-Flint

Twitch-http://www.twitch.tv/flint_gaming

1. A Bug's Life(N64)Any% [Estimate 30:00] - I've been working on this game for awhile now, and I feel it would be great to showcase. It has yet to be displayed at a GDQ, it has plenty of glitches, and it has a nostalgia effect for those who played it as a kid.

Dark: DKC2 any% has already been offered and it seems to be the more popular category, and we're working under some time constraints so I'd rather keep it at any%. Also, Reflected is the WR holder (unless if that changed recently).

Yeah he is for any%. For 102% it's Riz (japanese player). Juice is the best NA runner, followed by me. But I understand your choice. I didn't expect to make it haha but I had to try at least Wink thanks nevertheless.
Real quick, throwing in support for F-Zero Maximum Velocity (Yazzo)! Should hold up well with the other F-Zero's.

Hey, I'm BrokenArthritis and this is what I'd like to offer for AGDQ.

Twitch.tv/BrokenArthritis

Sonic Unleashed PS3/360 (any% / all day stages) [Estimate: 3:30:00 / 1:10:00] -  I picked this game up recently, and really enjoy it. My PB at the moment is 3:08:xx, it's never been ran at a GDQ marathon. I've gotten a lot of good feedback from running this on stream as the day stages are extremely fast paced and the night stages several huge glitches in them.  All Day stages is just something I could do if the length of full game is too long.

We could even throw in a donation war for choice of voice language(Jap/Eng).

I know I sent a message over skype, but here's my post again. I'm just trying to offer at least one of the 3d modern sonic games.

Super Mario Bros. 2 NES and SNES is too different to even be considered a decent race. Kinda why we have alot of problems even hosting races on SRL when NES/SNES is involved. Not fair compairing a faster platform vs the original game. Smiley

The real question is, is Jeff at my skill level on NES Wink

1. Battletoads  (Any% or Any% Warpless) - [0:20:00 or 0:30:00] - This game has been done by PJ in 2012 but since then new strategies has been found like the turbo tunnel glitch and also doing a Race with JC583 can be a great viewers attraction for AGDQ. Some donations to choose which category can be good to raise money.

2. Contra (Any% or Low%) - [0:15:00] - This game is a classic and a lot of people love to watch it done quick. So i am down for races too in case there are more runner of this game in e.g. (Hurblat, Mister_K, etc)

3. Darkwing Duck (Any%)- [0:20:00] - I've seen Jokaah in the list doing this game but I think i can Race him on AGDQ my time is really similar to his so i don't see any problem doing that and a race is always cool to watch specially done quick Wink

4. The Simpsons: Bart vs the Space Mutants (any%)- [0:20:00] - This game was the Nightmare of every kid back in the NES era, I can show how to beat this game quickly and also how this can be enjoy to watch by doing it quick. This can be material for both AGDQ or bonus stream.

Is PJ
For the record I support, as strongly as possible, TMR or JC583 running Battletoads.  There are loads of new skips and strats since my run in 2012, and they'd focus on speed instead of glitch demo which has not been done yet.
Smörgåsbord
I agree with PJ on this one! This match-up is the best thing that has happened on the NES front since Batman!

Thx for the support Svenne and PJ

Anyway on topic: I think we need a seperate discussion for Ducktales: Remastered since we have I think 8 people now offering it, on different mediums.
.
We have a discussion thread (probably more than one) for it in the speedrun planning boards. Smiley

This. In terms of racing "rivalries", this is probably my favorite one ever. I remember them racing Battletoads for 8 hours straight, switching between any% and any% warpless. They traded world record several times that day, and they're both extremely entertaining to watch.

Oh that. I know that already. I meant one for all the runners offering it at AGDQ to discuss who's best for it.
Or we could pull a 'Die Hard' and run it multiple times. Tongue

1. (Hitman Blood Money) Consulted with some people and I feel that Hitman games aren't fun to watch unless if you're a fan of the series.
If the run wasn't going to be a Silent Assassin run and if there wasn't going to be any commentary, I'd agree with you 100%. But as that is not the case I will have to ask you to reconsider as SA is by no means a slow and stealthy category and even though I don't consider myself as a great commentator, Blood Money is a game I'm very comfortable explaining. I would much prefer running Hitman rather than Max Payne and I think it's the more entertaining run. This clip from the SRG Marathon run should give you some idea of what SA actually is.

Quote from mikwuyma:
Dark Messiah: It's too obscure and it sounds like the inconsistency of said glitches can cause a lot of time variance.

Hey Mike, I can guarantee that the run will be under my estimate, my PB is 92 minutes and there's not a lot of variance to it. The inconsistency of the glitches isn't a big deal because you can quicksave and quickload and it literally takes a second to do them and they can save more than 5 minutes. I understand if you find it too obscure, but it's a pretty fun game to watch and has a cult following. It's also made by the people who made Dishonored so it would make a good back-to-back with that. The game can also have donation incentives because there's a choice near the end that doesn't affect the timing of the run too much.

That being said, if your answer is still no I respect your decision.

Hey I'm thataintfalco and I would like to play x2 and maybe race with caleb, zewing, mito or whoever. My PB is 35:26 so I think it would be a good race.

Super Meat Boy: Hmmm, I know you're really good at this. We'll have to sort it out

Amnesia: What does 100% involve?

Lost Kingdom 2: I think I rejected this before, and yeah, it's too obscure.

Tales of Symphonia: Definitely one of the more popular rpgs out there, but at the same time it's quite long with few donation incentives.

SMB: Fair enough, I understand, like all of a sudden this game got ask a lot this year!
Amnesia: I need to get all notes, daniel diary pages, item(excluding laudanum, oil potion and tinder box), solve all the puzzles and getting the good ending.
Lost kingdom 2: yup, you rejected the first one I think, someone else ask for it and that's what I though Tongue and another person is asking for the first one at the moment I think Tongue .
Tales of Symphonia: What are you talking about Tongue , the only one I can think about is getting Kratos and maybe doing some side quest which usually increase significantly the time(like devils arms, etc. Tongue ), someday maybe Tongue !
Ok, Banjo-Kazooie any% sounds good. Smasher32 and Specone can provide excellent commentary, as well.
