Highly Evolved
http://www.twitch.tv/darkwing_duck_sda

1.  The Legend of Zelda (surprise) Both Quests:  Sure there can be a $5000 incentive for second quest and it'd be met.  40:00 for first, 50:00 for second, both of which are pretty high estimates.  Could drop 5:00 off second quest, really.  Race is fine.  I know Breakdown hasn't done any screen scroll runs, so I hope he picks that up, since he can definitely challenge me if he put the time into it.

2.  Gyruss (NES):  All the talk about SHMUPS and their speedrunability, and here's one that can be right here.  Estimate 40:00 at the moment, but my first timed run was in the 35 minute range, and the best time is 29:xx.  Quite a lot of skill and dodging, especially in the later part of the game.

3.  Monopoly (NES):  Khanaphone has shown the hilarity of how to beat the AI in a quick manner.  I'd put 10:00 minutes as the estimate in case of bad luck, even with the best time at 1:20.  There are actually donation incentives to a game this short.  Two of them.  If not in marathon proper, a good bonus game.  http://www.twitch.tv/khananaphone/c/2759893  Could be a Die Hard type marathon thing.

4.  NES Open Tournament Golf:  15:00 per course.  Incentive for one course or all courses maybe.  Mario is good at golf.  Birdies near every hole.  Does some crazy shots.  http://www.twitch.tv/darkwing_duck_sda/c/2234084

5.  Mario Kart Wii Wheel%:  Someone mentioned a four way Mario Kart Wii.  No one uses the wheel.  I'm pretty good at the wheel.  Would be a unique player if it got to four players.

Glover any% no major skips (race with heeheex2 as he mentioned in his post) [45:00] - He said what pretty much needed to be said. I came back to glover recently and have been learning all the new things. Our pbs will be close enough without a doubt for a race to be good. I fully agree with a glover race being exciting simply because of "glover things" that would normally make us reset 50 times a run.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (SNES) Time Estimate: 30:00. All that needs to be said that it is Power Rangers.

Hey guys,
Heres my one game contribution to this marathon.

Duck Tales (NES) Estimate: [20:00]: Have been practicing this game for some time now and wanted to run it in a marathon. Having the new remastered version recently being released it would be cool to see the differences between them.

Thanks

1. Batman Returns (Genesis) [Estimate: 20 mins to account for bad luck] - Not only is it the worst game from the Batman Returns batch of games, Mike doesn't want to play it. Candidate for AwfulGDQ, getting revenge on this game for Mike on stream will be really sweet. Donation incentive to use the not-marathon-safe Rubber Ducky fight strat. Bat costume WILL be worn during this.

2. Golden Axe [Estimate: 15 mins] - Classic beat-em-up that paved the way for games like Streets of Rage. Enemy AI is easy to abuse and level designs lead to some really funny setups. Donation incentive to play as the Dwarf (hardest character to beat the game with).

3. Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines (PC) [Estimate: 1h30m, padded for setup and probable marathon luck] - Since Lurk also wants to run this game, I have 3 possible setups: Race, choice of which runner plays, or a Tag-team where at given points in the game we'll swap off for the other to take over. Donations would choose which way we go with it.

4. Batman Arkham Asylum [Estimate 2h30m for easy, 2h50m for hard] - Since Robosparkle put this game up, I'm down for a race. In fact, I am willing to buy him a copy of the PC edition just so we're on even grounds. I'm adding some extra time to the estimates due to setups and marathon luck during the Nightmare scenes.
Speed Runner
Hey all you happy people

1. Final Fantasy VII No Slots Single-Segment [Estimate 8-9 hours depending on marathon incentives] my current time on No Slots Console NTSC is 8:00:51 im gonna be getting sub 8 soon and would be honored to Run FF7 if it is in the running Cheesy

Cheesy I hope you do! Maybe you might seem me do Jak 2 or KHFM if I learn how to speed run it.

Driar (Beat the game) (Estimate 13:37) - Short and sweet platforming, Driar is an NES homebrew game developed in Sweden in 2012. The gameplay is similar to Manic Miner, Bubble Bobble, and VVVVVV (with screen wraps instead of gravity toggles). The music in this game is some of the best 8-bit style music I've heard. This would go well alongside something like Streemerz; it's fast, easy to follow, and hard to execute well. I have an 8:40 on the NTSC version (http://www.twitch.tv/go1den/c/2775872). This still has room for improvement too.

If no cape / no star world is going to be a race for SMW, I'm interested. If not (or if more suitable opponents are found) I offer back massages from the comfy couch.

Internetexplorer6: We had a run of Yoshi's Story at AGDQ 2012, and it didn't get a great response, I haven't really seen a ton of hype for Yoshi's Story since then, so I'm going to side on no for this one.

I created my run in direct response to its poor response at AGDQ 2012, which is what inspired me to re-invent the game from the ground up in a way that screams hype. Around six people started learning the game in the last week alone, after I completed my run. A few GDQ regulars were also really looking forward to it, including Trihex and Cosmo. Are you sure you can't reconsider?

I think we should start putting the system each game is on in our pitches and on the spreadsheet. would help people understand exactly what is being offered and help with scheduling later.
Hello. My twitch page is www.twitch.tv/just_defend

I only have one game to offer:

- Super Castlevania IV (SNES) [Estimate 45:00] - IMO, this game features a lot of great music and interesting stages. This game is a classic but I actually don't know how popular it is compared to the other castlevanias. I would be very excited if there could be a race if other speedrunners are interested. Considering some of potential instant deaths in some stages, a race could be nice to ease the tension and make it more hype.

Good luck everyone and looking forward to AGDQ!
No pain, no gain

Just gonna throw in a word. Do you have a link or a video of the run? Honestly, if it's very different, there's a chance it could be reconsidered. Besides, I'd love to watch it.

Hey, could this be a race? I remember our little bout on this!

Mother 3(Glitched) [Estimate: 6:20:00] - Only one glitch, but it's a huge one. It lets you start with all of the PSI in the game, so there's almost no grinding. There's a bunch of things to name, and there could be interest in the game with all the attention EB got after it's VC release.
Hi first time trying this. My twitch page is www.twitch.tv/magicfreak500

I have a few games at mind at first.

1. Ducktales remastered- any%(easymode with hard pogo (ps3)) 00:50:30- been playing this game since it came out and find this game can bring a few good donation incentives for AGDQ. I will like to do this game but if you find some one else that is better I will not complain but support them.

2.  Skylanders: spyros advnture-any% 5:00:00(using maxed out chars(xbox360))- This one can bring a lot of donation incentives. By allowing the people to donate on what char they want to be seen from each element could make a good donation incentive. There could also be donation incentives for bonus levels to be done.

3. Mega man x4( any% or 100% X run (ps2)) 1:20:00- thought there be some more mega man games for this year and since not many do the x series thought try to add that in. This could bring many donation incentives. one would be for either 100% or any%. Next would be for what buster upgrade.

If there is any one who is better than me you see and want to go with them is fine with me just hope all these help come up with some good runs for agdq.

Brave Fencer Musashi (Any% - 3:30:00), (Mother Minku% - 4:15:00) - A great action/adventure RPG by Squaresoft. Time is drastically over-estimated, since there is a possibility of donation incentives for the optional Mother Minku fight. Not very many things to abuse in this one, so it's mostly a straight-forward run. This is my favorite game of all time.

Threads of Fate (Rue's Story, Any% - 3:40:00) - Just started learning this game. Yes, yet another Squaresoft game. Although I love this game, it's very cutscene heavy with a lot of RNG when fighting enemies/bosses. No real skips or anything found in this yet. Mostly throwing this out there for nostalgic purposes.

Gunstar Heroes (Normal Mode - 1:00:00) - Really awesome run-n-gun for the Genesis. Probably best suited as a race if any one is interested. I own the original cartridge, but not the system.

That's all I've really got. Out of the two, I would prefer BFM as I've ran that game into the ground and then some. I will update this post if I feel like I'll be able to run or race something else.

EDITS:
Gave a little more time for BFM, as I've honestly not ran the Mother Minku% before. I'll probably do that some time soon so I can give a better estimate.
DEEP♂DARK♂FANTASY
Hello!

My twitch page - www.twitch.tv/bosscrab

1. Cocoron (Beat the Game) [25:00] - A megaman-esque, Famicom game (Cygh has cart). I have run this game in a few marathons (Sandython/Megamarathon/Seamergency/Happytails); typically it has gotten good response because its so weird and unique. A marathon-style run:  http://www.twitch.tv/bosscrab/b/388889889

2. Kirby's Dream Land (Beat the Game) [15:00] - Not much to say other than it's simple and it's a short Kirby game. Boss Luck is annoying but not nearly so much that it would kill me or force me over runtime. PB:

3. Harvest Moon (Any% All Days) [50:00] - THE TRUE CATEGORY, EATING, POUNDING FENCES, TRUE ACTION, ALL SKILL (kidding!)

Was thinking of picking up Kirby's Dream Land 2 and suggesting it since pretty much no one runs / has seen that game at all, but no reason to suggest it without an accurate time estimate.

Thanks for your time! Good luck with everything surrounding the marathon!
Well, I'm not exactly well known within the community here, and neither are the games I'd be offering. But I hope that won't impact on the decision-making too much here. Both of my games are Touhou fangames, since Touhou in general seems to always get some decent response from the chat/donation comments at least as far as I can tell. Touhou block maybe?

Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/gamercal

New Super Marisa Land: All Mushrooms [Estimate: 55 minutes] - Neat platformer with various Mario influences. All Mushrooms is a pretty fast-paced run with not too many glitches but a good amount of tricks and shortcuts using the various power-ups to speed things up. My PB is currently 37:45, 14 seconds behind WR, with ~50 seconds to come off as it stands. Sub-40 is consistent for me, so the estimate could probably go down to 50 minutes if needed.

Dusk Legends: Legend of Twilight: any% [Estimate: 1 hour] - Basically Link's Awakening starring Rumia. Mainly suggesting this one because of how utterly broken the game is - it starts out somewhat slow until the Extending Arm is obtained, but after that the entire game is just torn apart with OoB tricks and zips. I've been routing this with Punfookl for a short while now, and I'm hoping to close the ~2 minute gap in our runs soon. Apparently Twitch ate up my 42:31 PB highlight, so I uploaded my second best run (42:41:97) to show what the game is generally like as a speedrun. The estimate is really conservative at the moment, it could probably come down by 5 minutes easily with more practice.

Thank you for taking the time to consider these. Best of luck with the marathon!
Hello!      My stream: twitch.tv/znernicus

1. Portal 2 Single Player on PC
I ran this at AGDQ 2013 and since then I have improved greatly, so I would love to run this category again. I feel confident that I can provide a skillful and entertaining run full of neat skips, some entertaining glitches, and a lot of fast paced movement.
Estimate: 1:35:00 (this is very conservative, and accommodates for 5-10 min setup time)

2. Portal 2 Co-op on PC
Azorae mentioned we could possibly do this run together, though I think I would be able to run this with any member of the Portal 2 community. I can play this category skillfully and there will be many shortcuts and fun glitches along the way to show off.
Estimate: 0:50:00

3. Donkey Kong 64 on N64
I've had discussions with Cfox7 lately and we would be happy to do either an Any% race or a Bingo race for this game. Each have their own perks but I think either would make a good race and showcase many of the crazy glitches in the game.

Any%: The glitches you will see here skip almost everything there is to skip in this game, and many of them are funny to see. Cfox and I are about the same skill level in this category and the race should be fairly close (1-2 min apart probably)
Estimate: 0:55:00

Bingo: Similar to OoT Bingo, this game is very capable of sequence breaks and glitches to get things for Bingo races. I think a bingo would give people a more unique look into the glitches in this game and just how broken it really is. Plus, the added challenge of routing on the fly is really cool and the bingos have always been fairly balanced and do not vary much in length.
Estimate: 1:30:00

4. Portal, No OoB on PC
This is a fast paced run with many quick tricks and portals all over the place. I would enjoy to race this category with Azorae or Z1mb0bw4y, if either of them are attending.
Estimate: 0:20:00 (including end credits)

One game. Super Starwars . Estitmate 30:00. The series has got a lot more popular recently + its Star Wars.
My stream is: http://www.twitch.tv/mgslade

Metal Gear Solid (Any% run - with large skips) [Estimate 1:25:00] - The run is around 1:10 and could be done reliably under 1:15, it has great glitches that skip most of the bosses. The run is slow at the beginning, so I would have to improve my commentary, I'll work on that. Extreme difficulty on US version of course.

My feelings on The Demon Rush
Two things: I know there are 15 pages, but I'm on page 8, please be patient.

I'm also aware I'm made some half sentences in my posts. There's a lot to answer, and I sometimes miss stuff in my posts.

After consulting with some people, I decided to put Fire Emblem on the game list for now because it looks like it has a bigger fanbase and more people dedicated to the series than I thought. No guarantees for second round.

Ahuynh: I talked with Breakdown about DMC DMD, and we'd both like to see a run of that at AGDQ, but we'd like to see some more proof from you that you're capable of doing so, because it's not an easy feat.

Jinny:

Mega Man X3: I think a full game run of this game would be a better watch, to be honest.

Mega Man X: Caleb already offered, and he and zewing have better times. If you start getting times near them, then I'll consider you for a race.

Mega Man X2: How does your time compare to zewing's?

Checkers:

Mega Man 3: This hasn't been done in a while, and your pb sounds really strong! Also, you're right, it is a well-regarded Mega Man.

Mega Man 4: I agree this is a good run, but at the same time we did this the last AGDQ, and there is being a ton of Mega Man games offered already, so I'm gonna side on no.

MC Gamer:

Zelda's Adventure: Wow that game does indeed look awful, but I'm not sure how entertaining it would be, and 2 hours is generally too long for a game in AwfulGDQ. (they tend to get old after an hour or so)

YI: Tri-Hex is already on the schedule for it.

George:

American Wasteland: You're already on the schedule for it. I'm honestly kind of shocked you didn't offer the main series games.

DuckTales Remastered: Again, going to put you on the list for this, and we'll see who sticks with this after a couple of weeks to a month.

Sloth:

Dishonored: This game is already on the schedule, but is non-lethal/ghost% something like silent assassin in hitman games or foxhound in mgs games where you don't get detected?

FEZ: This game seemed to do decently when it was released, but I really don't know a whole lot about it aside from the rotating mechanic. It looks kinda like Braid?

dxtr:

Batman: Hmmm, this has been done as races before, but you do reliably get sub-11 minute times, which is impressive, and I'm sure someone like sinister1 could provide good commentary. I'll add it for now.

Ninja Gaiden: It might be worth doing this with commentary since we haven't really had this before, I'll add it for you.

Blood Thunder:

Bioshock games: I have no idea which one would be best for a marathon. While I can't put all three on the schedule, I think it's worth having one of the games in a marathon. I'll put it on the schedule as Bioshock something, and figure out how to handle it later.

Quantum Conundrum: I'm aware that Kim Swift is involved in this game, and this game got a pretty good response. I think it's at least worth considering, adding it to the list.

Kairo: Too unknown and we have a lot of First Person stuff already (including the stuff you offered).

MorKs: People do like rolling monkeys, and while DKC3 might not be as strong as the first two games, it's still worth considering. Garrison also told me you're the best player in the English-speaking community. Adding it to the list.

Bl00dyBizkitz:

Kingdom Hearts games haven't done so hot in past marathons, and while KH3 hype does seem to be helping the scene, I'm still not entirely convinced that translates to a marathon audience, that and the game is kind of lacking in donation incentives for an rpg.

Partystar: DKCR has done decently in marathons past, but I don't see a whole lot new happening with it that warrants another marathon appearance so soon. I'm not sure a race would do much for the game at this point.

Joka:

Little Nemo: I think this would be a cool game to have in a marathon.

MM10: Yeah...it's been in a lot of marathons, and really well to boot. I'm also getting a ton of  Mega Man offered so I'm going to side on no.

DW: Hmmmm, we do have Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers already, maybe a classic Disney block? This is the weakest of the classic Disney gmaes so it might not make second round.

Rockman 7: Yeah I'd rather prioritize official games over fan games.

Mega Man 5: I know you did decently at ESA, so I'll put you on the list for this game. We'll sort out who runs it or if it's run (because we have a lot of mm games right now) later.

Spikevegeta: Already addressed both games, and they're a no.

Vortale:

Jazz Jackrabbit 1: This game was definitely a dos classic back in the day, and it's pretty fast-paced. Adding it to the schedule.

Jazz Jackrabbit 2: I don't know, this game never got the reception the first game got. I'm siding with no.

Hexen: Already said no to this game.

Doom: I'll put you on the shortlist for this game, but Kubelwagon and Dime are both beasts at this game, so we'll

Jill of the Jungle: Yeah it was an Epic Megagames classic, but I don't think that warrants its appearance in a marathon.

rudyxx:

Haunting Ground: Horror games generally haven't had the greatest responses in marathons, on-site or online. The problem is that a lot of them have running through corridors without a whole lot going on. No.

Radiata Stories: Fun game, but it's a long RPG without a lot of donation incentives (aside from the choice halfway through I guess).

Rhapsody: No.

Mega Man Legends: Definitely an audience with Legends games, but as I mentioned before with Legends 2, the Legends games are not the best watches.

Andrewg:

Well Cyghfer said he'd rather not do the walkathon race, so I'll add Warpless to the schedule.

Wallcrusher:

Spike McFang is a fun game, but it's really obscure and doesn't have a big audience.

Chessjerk: Honestly, if I were go with a a SRPG this marathon, it would be a Fire Emblem game because they're faster and shorter.

tjp7154:

Lost Levels: Right now I'll put this at the All levels category, but we'll see how much time there is on the schedule once everything settles.

Saint Connor: Blasto looks like it would be good AwfulGDQ material, on the list.

Whatsoup: Yeah I don't think Spongebob games have a big speedrunning audience.

Spudlyman: I'll have to talk to you and toto about spyro 2 and 3 sometime.

Crash 3: While I don't want the entire Crash series at AGDQ, I do think it's worth having one game from the series, so I'll put this on the list to consider it.

Smasher32: If stivity is going to offer and you'd rather commentate, then I'll consider you if stivity can't come.
