Willing to teach you the impossible
Just wondering if anyone else spent the 80msp on this game. Anyone else interested/like this short game as well?

I am looking for others to help categorize the game as in the available runs that could be done. I have really been enjoying this game. Because of how the collectables and stuff work, I can see Low%/bad ending, any%/good ending, and a 100%/good ending. Really though there would not be all too much difference between them besides coin routs.

Items listed with price:

minimum coins required to finish the game - 369
TIME IS MONEY PACK 20
MAP PACK 140
MOVEMENT PACK 4
PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE PACK 50
NIGHT MAP PACK 75
GUN PACK 75
FINISH THE FIGHT PACK 5

I think this could be Low% bad ending.

Add 250 coins more to get the good ending.

100% would be all 10 Awardments and getting to the end (as you can get the ending achievement then finish getting the rest of the stuff).

Feedback and thoughts on this would be great!!!

Where should timing stop? I lose control at about 2 seconds in the video (where my feet touch the dark blue of the background). Or it could be on the last text box at about 18 seconds in the video. Anyone know when it is suppose to stop?

Edit: Timing stops at loss of control being that there are no choices after and the text boxes dont change anything.

On that note, I did a rather good run and got 5:40. I will keep at it till I feel it is good enough for submit. I can see 5-10 more seconds come off of this.

Edit2: 5:26. Not submitting this as I know I can improve this time. I will continue tomorrow.
Everybody DANCE!
I was thinking about making a thread for this game.  Not necessarily to throw my hat into the speed run portion, but mostly to support anyone who would run this.

Cool, so I know know I have at least one person interested. Can you give ur input on categories. I am working one the low% that I mentioned before. I was considering doing all of them but might only do 2 right now. The 100% category would take more than just 15 min of planning... If you would help with the planning, I would love you very much!!!
The Speedrunning Teacher
I had 80 MSP leftover on my account, so I got this and got 100% in about 20 minutes or so. I'll be glad to help out in the planning.
The Speedrunning Teacher
I'm trying out the low% that you listed out, and I keep coming up 4 coins shy of the Map Pack. Do you get the double jump, or is there a spot that I'm missing?
Willing to teach you the impossible
No double jump, Ill post my current best so you can see what I do.

I am aware of the audio desync, I did not feel like fixing it as it is not the final product

Also, you can get good ending w/o double jump as well, not sure if it is faster or not yet though as I have not tested anything with that run just yet

Btw, does the game have a small lag spike from time to time while you play?

I haven't noticed any lag spike. Perhaps I haven't paid enough attention to it.

might be how i am recording...
The Speedrunning Teacher
How are you getting those high jumps? They almost look like double-jumps?

If you mash jump fast enough, you get the second jump, the timing is tough to get to the higher platforms as after about 1.5 times your toons height it wont let you do it

Edit: So it is kinda like the double jump upgrade just takes the restriction away

Edit2: Discovered by mashing threw text
The Speedrunning Teacher
Ah, I see. I get it now. You basically double-tap the jump button.

LOL, just got a new best time could have subed this one, but I forgot I only needed 5 coins at the end and turned around to grab an extra coin...

Edit: I just thought of a new 1 second time saver Smiley

Edit2: 5:25, I think my max will be 5:23, like a really high 5:23. So I might stop at 5:24
The Speedrunning Teacher
Cool. Just got the bad ending using the DLC route that you have. Seems solid, so I'll look into where coins are location and how many in each location.

Yup, but I have not looked into the best areas to get the last 250 coins needed for good ending. At 4:10 and another spot not in the video, you can get up there w/o double jump. Just SUPER hard. So I am not sure if getting Double jump would save time or not. Instaid of going down at the last cave, go up and from the small plateau, you can get up onto the higher area. To get up to both areas, you need to time your second jump as late as the game will allow, then you will see the smoke as if you landed on the corner, allowing you to jump again. On the one not in the video I can get it in 1-3 tries. MUCH easier than the one at 4:10 of the video. So that is what needs to be tested before good ending run can be done.

Edit: Buying Double Jump ends so many runs...
The Speedrunning Teacher
I can confirm it. Double Jump is not needed to get the good ending. That spot that you mentioned collects almost all the coins you need, so a slight detour earlier on can get you the 250 you need before buying the Finish the Fight Pack.

Ya, I was doing it that way before I knew about the bad ending... what one did you go up? the first area or the second?

Edit: the first area has 95 coins up top once you make it up there. So the second area is best place to go.

Making a video with the coins I usually skip

Scratch that, I think you know where they are...

Ill be back tomorrow. Thanks for putting the time into this with me
The Speedrunning Teacher
No problem. My wife has been helping me and we have a really good route for the good ending now. I'll make a video of it or stream it tomorrow or the day after.

Ya, sorry about that. Things kept popping up the last couple of days so I couldn't stream/record it. However, that will be fixed today! I'm planning on streaming this afternoon, so keep an eye out for it.

Here it is: DLC Quest Good Ending Route

Most of it is the same as your bad ending route. Only differences are getting all the coins along the route (there are exactly the amount needed), and getting coins from the upper part of the 2nd area.

There are more coins in the upper area, I wonder if getting more coins from there would be faster than getting some of the coins in the first area

Edit: there are also some coins in the first area that was not collected. Might be able to see what is and is not worth the trade off.
