I'm currently doing a "casual" speedrun of Zack & Wiki, hoping it will bring motivation to me or someone else for the actual speedrun. Also welcome to criticism.
Bit of both, really. Clicking the camera icon can slow you down a bit, but more often than not, you'll end up making up the lost time due to its advatnages.
Haven’t contributed to my Zack & Wiki casual run in a while due to its unpopularity and my other projects. To my surprise, I just beat one of Alexpenev’s times, with my 3:14 of “Bridge of Doom” (1 second improvement)
Also got a 1 second improvement on "The Painted Secret"
Dunno why I didn’t do it in a previous, but here’s the running playlist.
I’m skipping along because some chapters are harder/longer than others, so I might as well get the easy ones out of the way instead of going chronological order.
Not bad. You played some of my most disliked levels I played on a file where I had beaten the game, so hidden chests were enabled. This cost me a few seconds on some levels (e.g. Relics, where getting the slot puzzle on the first try makes a chest appear). Icicle was another level where a chest appeared simply for doing things the quickest way. Don't remember if there were others.
Could you mention your clear times in your video descriptions?

Guess I could do that when I get back to recording some segments for the game. Lately, it's not been my priority gaming-wise as I've been super busy with Metroid Prime 3. If you do get back on the bandwaggon though, I'll likely give you some competition though in terms of times to beat
I am currently the world record holder of a full game speed run of the game; it’s available on speedrun.com. I will start IL runs soon. It’s a shame I can’t watch the old videos here to get some new tricks.
