I am with 1 tape ready here to send for SDA just with records for Sega Master System with the following records:
Ultima IV - Quest of the Avatar: 02:43.18 Wonderboy in Monster Land: 00:16.44 Time Soldiers: 00:16.30 Alex Kidd in Shinobi World: 00:08.34 Alex Kidd in High Tech World: 00:09.10 Aztec Adventure: 00:37.09 Wonderboy III - The Dragon's Trap: 00:46.16 (trying improve)
Sincerely, I don't know what I did for you to call me of idiot...
Was I never welcome here in SDA, some time ago I discussed with Tompa but we talk and we turned friends, I decide then to send a tape with records, was it just finishing this record for Wonderboy III to send the tape and just in publishing my record here, without offending nobody and am I called of idiot?
You want to know.... I will just continue sending my records for Twin Galaxies!

Farewell.
You know what, I apologize but in the past all you did was send in runs to TG and talk about them on SDA. I'm not an official person at SDA anyways, so what I says shouldn't be representative of SDA at all. I would love to see your runs, and would be very pleased to see you send them here. Please rethink your decision, and know that I apologize for my comments.
Digging this thread from outer-hell because I have interest in this game.
There is a glitch (if we can call it that way, because as I believe the Hades armor IS a glitch, I don't believe that the Tasmanian sword is a glitch, it sounds like a debug feature which wasn't removed from the game) that can be used to get the Legendary items pretty fast (not the one with the flying fish from the TAS). I intend to use it to wreck through the game right after getting the fish form.
There's also a neat glitch which is sadly unusable on a legit controller (requires you to R+L) to get through walls, a TAS could use that though.
All said, both speedrun and TAS are improvable and I intend to give it a try.
Thanks a lot for the support Svenne ! I'm actually still practicing a lot (oh how bad am I as lizard-man) in order to get an optimal route to get every item I need. Still practicing on emulator though (I'll get my SMS, but I'd really prefer to get a new one which would run 60Hz). I'll try to capture a whole run without too many fails in it.

Sounds awesome. The Tasmanian Sword secret/debug is very likely an alternate category due to the difference in routes and strategies such as the final boss fight for example.
All I do know is that the Virtual Console version may have a small advantage with this glitch:
Quote:
This glitch is done by wiggling left and right constantly, but on the Wii Classic Controller you can hold LEFT on the left stick and mash Right on the D-pad. This makes the wiggle command much easier to execute and you can see me pull off this trick which has some use in a speed run. It enables the player to obtain both the Legendary Sword & Legendary Armour before encountering Pirate Dragon
I can't remember if the Turbo (Turbografx has legit turbo commands) before the actual hover makes a difference or not.
Yeah the TAS uses this glitch too, I've tried to do it on a regular controller: impossible. But there's a variation of this glitch which can be used to go through walls:
Fun starts around 0:28. You do that by jumping then stabbing+L+R. You can skip whole dungeons using that (especially the Lion den). And the main glitch I want to use is this: equipping the Magical saber, the Knight shield, the Goblin mail and Fireballs you can create golden blocks at will, anywhere, which I use to create a bridge to Meka's castle and get the legendary items as pirhana-man. Pirate-dragon gets killed in 3 legendary swords hits fun fun
