D1 F1.

Looks like it should be D4.... but then his face disappears..

D1 F1 2D is Mario Strikers Charged by the way. And probably the same for Super Mario Strikers/Mario Smash Football.

Even though I hate football mind. I like MSCF. =/

Post a sample that shows that the 2D setting should be used.

I've never done a sample before, but sure.
One MSCF Sample coming right up.
*Starts making sample*
Resoning, it's like Pro Evo, it's pseudo 3D, but 2D.

EDIT: How do I extract a sample =/
EDIT2:*Reinstalls anri-chan so I get that extractor thingy*

It's not 2D. Some info about how we classify things as 2D/3D can be found here.

So what game is this exactly and what console?
I think the 2D/3D deal should ideally be changed to something else, considering the number of exceptions both ways, and that it's not even about the number of dimensions.

Problem is, the most obvious alternative to me, "FD2" (1/2 framerate, aka 3D) and "FD3" (1/3 framerate, aka 2D) reverses the numbers around...

The game is Mario Strikers Charged ("Mario Strikers Charged Football" in Eu/Au) for Wii.
would be another letter. in framerate decimation paradigm, f and d are already in use, so that leaves p. p1 = f2 in lower qualities, p2 = f3 in lower qualities. thoughts?
I don't really like the idea of using a number but abandoning the standard (i.e. D4 is 1/4 of D1) at the same time just to say "this is one thing, this is the other".

Another thought: How about saying it right out, kinda like how resolutions define interlaced/progressive with 640i, 1024p etc. e.g. "D4 F1 Flickering" or "D4 F1 f" ("nf" for "not flickering"?). Again there's the F letter problem with the word "flickering" though.
Complete. Global. Saturation.
This is probably going to be D1, F1, but I thought I'd get the professionals take on it. I included two files in case one didn't work in some way or another.

Complete. Global. Saturation.
It's for the Wii. Does that make a difference or help somehow?

Does anyone know the d, f and fdp for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. I have just been using the metroid prime 2 settings in anri-chan for my test segments but if i ever do anything sda worthy it would be nice to know how to encode it correctly. I can extract a sample if necessary.
nope, just go with prime 2 settings. it's been added to the df page though so if you update anri-chan you can pick prime 3 now if that makes you feel more at peace with the world and society.

What are d, f, fdp for Eye of the Beholder (SNES)?
sample
(The audio is desynched, I'm still working on that)
I'd guess d4 f1 2d, based on other SNES games already in the database..
did you use the sample utility to make that?

does appear to be d4 f1 2d though.
astral guard
No, I put d1 f1 2d into the main program.  Forgot about running the sample utility from a command prompt.
don't do that because normally we would have trouble telling what it is. however in this case it didn't matter because the snes is pretty predictable (no known d1 snes games; if there's clear movement every full frame after deinterlacing then it's probably f1; if it's 2d based and f1 then it's very likely to have f1 blinking effects so needs the 2d framerate decimation paradigm to be safe. also improves the quality of the lq copies).

Okay.  I was just going by information from the other topic:

Ah, yos, the sample extractor only works with a DVD source. My bad.

What you could do for a sample is run anri.bat, then tell it not to use the DFnD database and enter D1 and F1. When the trimming option comes along, select a short part of the video, then encode the HQ MP4 only.

Was there anything else I should've entered into anri.bat to make it do what sample.bat does?
so this is NOT a dvd source? man, i'm really out of touch with the codebase. i haven't actually looked at it since the sample grabber was integrated with anri.bat. the distinction between dvd source and capture card (if that's what you're using; would explain the desynced audio, lol) is an artificial one in this case. :\
It's been integrated, but still only DVD source. Will be fixed in next version.

I'm recording with a capture card, yes.  Why would that cause a desynch?
when do capture cards not cause desync? lol.

don't mind me - i just haven't had much success with them (continuing to this day).
Hi
What are the d, f, and fdp for TMNT 3 for the NES:

http://files.filefront.com/samplemp4/;9736117;/fileinfo.html

Thanks in advance.
everybody wanna tell you the meaning of music
It will just be d4 f1 2d just like the other TMNT games and everything else on NES. Wink

Heh. PAL really screws things up, doesn't it. Roll Eyes

I'm betting that this game is F2, and in NTSC you'd see the sequence UD,UD,UD,UD,etc, but it seems that games like this get transformed into the sequence UDUUD,UDUUD,etc when converted to PAL.

I feel sorry for you, you'll have to treat it like F1 material. And of course, this may reveal a big flaw in anri-chan.

Maybe we should define a new F#, F1.67 perhaps. Tongue

So RE4 for the Wii is d1 f1 3d ?  just making sure

Also, heres a sample http://files.filefront.com/WiiNTSCre4+Sample+Video/;9767362;/fileinfo.html
