Gotta love Spyro and Crash! The more the better! I'm hoping to get more Crash as well.
I can honestly say I haven't heard of those Spyro games so I'll Google them in a bit.
Totally up to you if you wish to bring the Wii and Gamecube Smiley

Any consoles and kit we don't use for streaming can be used for casual or practice Smiley

Its cool to see things are being finalisedish. Im really looking forward to this. I made sure to spread the word to all of our British Speedbrethren.
Anywho....

1. Gunstar Heroes [Expert Difficulty]
Estimate: 1:00:00
PB: 0:45:38
Console:Sega Genesis

Fun and Hard run. Ran it at ESA and was really well received. This is my go to game in forms of entertainment and commentary.

2. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker [Any% Japanese w Tuner]
Estimate: 5:00:00
PB: 5:33:23
Console: PAL Wii Region Changed to JP

I know, I know. My PB is ass but hilarious enough, im the only British runner of this game. Lately ive been going into this game hardcore and hope to get under sub 5 before February at least. The run itself is hard and neat at the same time. Alot of fun and weird glitches and ways to help break the game with the Tingle Tuner add on.

3. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 [Any% Beginner]
Estimate 3:20:00
PB: 3:31:xx
Console: PS3

This is another case of "My PB is ass" but again this is another game that im gonna focus on to bring the run lower. This run is very fun to watch personally. Its one of those cases where people go "oh damn i fought that boss before it was really hard....oh crap he just beat in 10 seconds wtf"

4. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix HD [Aqua Critical Level 1]
Estimate 1:40:00
PB: 1:30:44
Console: PS3

Yes that is the official name of the category. Good luck writing that one on the schedule >:D. One of the hardest categories for this game is also the fastest and most broken in terms of strats. Due to the broken nature of EXP Zero, I will be at Level 1 the entire run.

(Will add more later if i remember anything)
Thanks! It would be great to get the word out! I'm working on the venue at the moment.

Great games! I have added all to the list. What is the category for 1, 3 and 4?
I wrote "KH: BBP Final Mix HD" for 4, is that enough or is "Aqua Critical Level 1" required? Tongue
Gunstar Heroes is on Expert Difficulty so thats what the Category is called. KH1.5 is Any% Beginner and KHBBSFMHD is Aqua Critical Level 1. I've also forwarded these threads to some more friends Cheesy
Thanks for the info! Just added it all to the list Smiley Awesome! HYPE! Cheesy
Kingdom Hearts II [Any%]
Estimate: 4:18:00
Personal best: 4:08:41
Console: NTSC PS2

KH2FM was recieved very well in ESA and AGDQ, and this is the original version of KH2. Although the run is quite long, it has a lot of varied gameplay and interesting strats throughout.

Pokemon Fire Red [Any%]
Estimate: 2:35:00
Personal best: 2:15:35
Console: GCN [Gameboy Player]

Pokemon Fire Red [Round 2]
Estimate: 4:35:00
Personal best: 4:07
Console: GCN [Gameboy Player]

I guess you could say that Round 2 is a much more interesting run as it involves catching 60 pokemon for the pokedex, so it feels more complete than the standard any%.

Thankyou in advance for considering, i've never done something like this and the thought of it is exciting ^_^

Ocarina of Time [Glitchless]
Estimate: 6:00:00
PB: 5:56:07 (PAL Record)

Console: PAL Gamecube or if anyone has a Japanese copy on Wii VC that I could use, that would be great but I don't mind running on PAL, however the run will be slightly faster on the JP version.

I've recently been practicing glitchless a lot and I've got new new strats that will hopefully make the run even faster and it has it's fair share of tricks. This category doesn't seem to get a lot of love but I've always had an interest in it.

Half-Life: Blue Shift - Beat The Game
Estimate: 35:00
PB: 28:25 (
Console: PC

Half-Life: Opposing Force - Beat The Game
Estimate: 30:00

Estimate 50:00
Personal best 44:12
Console: PC
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Zipless%
Estimate: 2:00
PB: 1:55
Console: PC

Honestly, it is more likely to be a 1:50ish run because I haven't actually done that many full runs of the game, just segments and I've not done a full run in a while.
Finally, an event I might not have to actually move out of the city for! Tongue

PS3

(Possible Race with Goldphnx) Lots of cool looking fights and a good run to watch. Got some good little tricks that make some more difficult sections look better.

I can bring a Slim PS3, if needed.
Stick It To The Man (Any%)
Estimate: 35:00
Personal best/World Record: 28:18

A few glitches but a fast and fun game none the less. I'm new to speed running too and want to meet people! I also run RE: 1 on a Jap PS2 but my Jill any% PB is 1:18 which is kinda slow compared to most runs, need a bit more practice.

Any consoles and tech is a great help so feel free to bring a PS3.

I have added your solo submission to the main list and the possible race with Goldphnx to a separate one below. Let me know if it will happen Smiley

If you would like to run RE1 then let me know and I'll add it to the list. It's only 10 minutes slower so that's fine. Just let me know Smiley
Yeah I can run RE:1 then, I'll get some more practice in Smiley

Cool! So the details would be:

RE:1 (Jill any%)
Estimate: 1:30:00
Personal best: 01:18:00
Console: PS2 Jap

Right?

It is actually a Japanese PS2 or has it been modded to be one? Does it need special tech or cables for it to stream?
Yeah Kitty, that's correct.

Its all legit, I have a NTSC-J Sony PS2 and all the correct cables, nothing else is needed.

That's great Goldphnx, thanks!

As always, anything is a big help, never know what we might need. I'd rather we ended up with spares of consoles etc than not enough!
Hi kitty and everyone!

Just seen the threads for this... currently down the road in Bournemouth but funnily enough I'm moving to Portsmouth at the end of February for a new job, so that's mega convenient. Not sure if it's too late to get in on this but I would definitely be interested! Once I'm settled in Pompey I could help out with equipment/accommodation/whatever although don't have a massive amount. 32" LCD (very low input lag), a bunch of consoles (mostly PAL though except my SNES), a Dazzle, and some other bits would all be available if you'd need. Depending on where/how big my place ends up being I could maybe even put a couple of people up for a couple of days, but will have to see closer to the time. As for a game...

Great work on the organising so far and hope I can make it/help out in the coming months!
Hi Chris!

Wow that is convenient! You ever been to Portsmouth? If you need help finding a place or getting to know the area let me know as I'm sure Joshimuz and I can help Smiley Thanks for the offers of tech and even accommodation, that's so nice of you and would be a big help! I'm hoping I can get on site accommodation which would be super helpful but if we need extra space and you're willing to donate a sofa or front room to people that'll be great Smiley We'll also let some people stay at our flat but there will be a limit and obviously we'll choose who. That's a great list of tech you have, as I say anything is helpful! I'll actually go through the thread and list all tech and equipment people have/can offer so I have an idea of what we have so I know what we still need. Thanks for the game submission, adding it to the list now!
I've been to Gunwharf a couple of times but don't really know the area that well actually. My office will be in Cosham but I'm thinking of living somewhere a bit livelier (probably Gunwharf or something) and then commuting into work by car/train. I'll be in the area looking at houseshares over the next month so hopefully will get a better sense of the place! Thanks - would be cool to know what areas you'd recommend besides Gunwharf actually?

When I'm settled properly I'll update you with exactly what I have available/can offer in terms of accomm. I'll also have a think about SMW but I'm mega rusty there Cheesy
Gunwharf is cool Smiley Ah, in the high street or Lakeside? Cosham is pretty easy to get to really, it has the train station and every bus in Portsmouth goes through it Tongue We live along the sea front in Southsea. Good location as we have bus stops right outside our flat which has the main buses - including one which goes to Cosham plus there's 2 corner shops, 1 is a 24/7 Nisa, a fish and chip shop with day cafe, a chinese takeaway and 2 free ATMs Tongue I think there's one or two flats in our building up for rent Tongue If you let me know what area exactly and price range then I'll look into it for you Smiley I recommend you stay away from Somerstown and Fratton though Tongue Gunwharf is costly, if you can afford it then lucky you Tongue But I would suggest North End or Southsea Central Tongue

I'm trying to get the venue in a good place ideally Southsea/Gunwharf. The place I have in mind is perfect so I'm working on that right now Smiley It has everything including on site laundrette, cafe, gym with showers, IT suites, game rooms etc etc. Plus it's down the road from one of the main train stations and the National Express coach stop Tongue
Thanks for all the info, really appreciate it! It's Lakeside, but yeah I figured commuting around wouldn't be too much of a problem. I'll look into Southsea... I've had people recommend that too actually so seems like a popular choice :p haha I haven't looked into prices yet (that will be in the next few weeks) so I may not be able to afford Gunwharf! When I know what/where I'm looking I'll drop you a message, any advice would be amazing! Stay away from Somestown and Fratton, noted! That's exactly the advice I need haha ;)!

The venue sounds amazing, hope it works out!
