Speed is the key.
From what I've seen so far (which is a lot), TP seems to be easy enough to make a single segment run feasible, even if it means a 6 hours single sitting.

I wont say anything more until I've played it myself though.
I'm not THAT bad.
I kinda wanted to do an SS myself  but I decided it was just too long  Tongue

I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
I'd love to see a run of TP that nears around seven hours. Like many, I'm a huge Zelda fan, however I cannot afford to play this game yet. I've always loved speedruns and I'm anxious to see how smooth this game can be completed.

I think a rough-draft speedrun is in order for this game; Just so everyone has a foundation for improvment. That couldn't hurt  8)

The Visual Guide I am making can be a starting point.  It's nowhere near a speedrun, but you can start to see what should be done.

Hmm, i watched some parts but it seems to load a long time between rooms and movies.. Is the Wii or what?

That's how the game does transitions.

In my semi speedrun I am just turning into a wolf at 24 minutes.

I would think If I tried harder (I'm not recording obviously) And practiced continuously I could get 21 minutes.

You OoT masters could get 20 if it was optimised.

But of course, I could beat you  Tongue  Grin
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
That Iron Boot glitch is sweet. I just thought of something, though--what if Nintendo is watching us and fixing all these for the GameCube release? :-[

They'd have to hurry if they were going to print tens or hundreds of thousands of copies of the game, wouldn't you think?

...

*shuts up*

I wouldn't worry too much about nintendo fixing these for the gamecube version. the discs are probably already made. But for the later shipments you might have to worry about fixed bugs.

Yeah, I suppose Nintendo isn't THAT hell-bent on destroying sequence breaks. <_< I probably won't get the GC version of TP anyway, though.

I agree, it is slower to aim and also to use menus. I'm guessing that it will be slower because of this. As for the spin attack charging thing that was mentioned before, no doubt it will be in the GCN version, ever think they don't want use spamming it non-stop because it is really powerful? Especially great spin, that move is broken. You just stand there and spin... Its crazy though, since all the secret techs require the move from before to be learned, we can't even skip any, and we can't even sequence break to get them early unless we still get all the ons before it. Puppet Zelda is broken.  I could make her go out of bounds and not be able to come back into the chamber, and additionally, the good old "stand as close to her and do a spin attack" trick works when she tosses the energy ball.  Instant-reflect and a hit.  Do they ever learn?
*I'll continue to mark spoilers until the end of the year, just to be kind*

Shouldn't puppet Zelda be called a "he"?  I mean, Ganondorf basically possessed her after all.

Hmm.. I think Nintendo want to re-do OOT after all this bugs we find...
Existence as you know it is over
I believe you meant to say "nintendo's going to redo TP"

hmm...maybe, god, please do not make nintendo redo the gamecube version..

EDIT : For those who played Wii and GCN version.. Which has nicest controllers?
I'm not THAT bad.
In 5 days I can answer that question ;).

But both look smooth, and Wii is great for sure.

so, I found something when I was trying to get into hyrule field early.

You can get even higher if you throw in a jumpslash

HOLY CRAP. IF YOU HOLD FORWARDS AND PRESS "A" HE STARTS TO JUMP OFF EPONA'S BACK TOO. I NEED TO TRY THIS AND THEN JUMPSLASH. maybe we can get into hyrule field...

Epona jump... lol

Backflip off the horse?

no just straight up. I tried backflip, but you can't. Otherwise we could backflip onto that slope and go into hyrule field...  Cry

And I was wrong... you are jumping off her head.

I tried uploading a vid of it 2 times... unfortunatley youtube wants to be cool and stop at like 20%.

also you can hop alot if you time it right, like 5 times or so, probably infinite. But the 1st hop when you come up immediately seems to be the highest.
You can back flip off the horse, but I think you can only do it when enemies are around.

Im getting TP for GCN soon..
He's back!
Well it comes out on the Wii Tommorow, but I'll wait another week for it to come out on the Gc.
