The run is gonna be on hold for now since my gamecube is drawing gfx artifacts all over the place and is pretty much dead now. Seems like the motherboard is gone to crap. Not sure if/when I can pick the run back up again. Gonna have a hard time getting some cash to buy a used console. I guess my best option would be to try and find a cheap pal wii to softmod it for import games but thats not gonna happen for quite some time since I just had to pay for my next university semester.
Hope you guys atleast enjoyed the first few segments haha ^^

Aww that sucks. :/ The Gamecube is pretty old by now, you can get one for pretty cheap (you can get a refurbished one at Gamestop for $30... dunno about where you are).

@Paraxade : The shipping costs alone for an imported gamecube are ~40+ bucks. Thats why I could just as well buy a used pal wii here for just as much haha ^^

Actually, I believe it is possible to play imports on the Wii via the Homebrew Channel. But that's kind of old news. I don't know if it still works, and I never tried it, either, only read it from various sources, I believe.

No. You could've easily checked that yourself :/

P.S.: Softmodding a wii isnt the problem. That can be done pretty easily with any firmware. Would basically allow me to set the region to ntsc so that I can just use my original tp disc. The problem is getting the money to buy one :s

Thanks for the concern. It seems like there are bugs with the 50/60 Hz display when running imports via freeloader which leads to messed up framerates so I don't think that that will be an option :/

I would buy you a gcn if i had the money but im saving all the money i have for the bounty if it gets done. Why dont you try to get donations from SDA people on paypal to get some money to get a gcn?

I'm really not the kind of person that asks for donations normally and I don't think enough people care to donate even if I posted my paypal adress here but seeing how it's my only chance of continuing the run I might as well give it a shot.

If anybody really is so kind as to donate a few dollars to me please pm me so that I can thank you and put you in the credits when writing notes for the run.
I don't expect a lot or even anything to come out of this but feel free to prove me wrong and make me a happy person that doesn't have to cry himself to sleep every night because of his dead gamecube ^^

Money isn't that hugely important for me, but as for now, I would really like to see a well polished 100% TP run, and I firmly believe Exo is well qualified.

Wow.. I don't think any ammount of words could justify how thankful I am right now.
That's definitely going to be enough to buy a wii.
I really wouldn't have expected this and especially not so quickly.
I'm sort of at a loss of words haha ^^

Just don't push yourself too hard and let the game stress you out. Exams are a lot more important, so just work on your normal pace as if nothing happened. Remember, there are always a bunch of people like me who silently cheer and support for people like you. Good luck. Smiley

I know 50$ isn't that much compared to 1000$ but if it can give you a little motive. this bounty is concerning only you so I don't care who else is going to finish this game at 100% Tongue

I just ordered a wii so bad lasers hopefully won't be a problem anymore.
Let's hope that softmodding it to remove the region-lock will work.
