you press the map (d-pad left) and the midna (z) buttons at the same time. it works if midna pops up and talks instead of warping when you select a warp destination.

So it did! Thank you, good sir =)
Another question: If I take master sword early, I have to kill Morpheel without zora armor, right?
I think someone found a way, but if so, can you please tell me step by step on how to do it. I always thought if you get the MS early that it was impossible to get the zora armor.

I bumped into a severe obstacle with not having the bow when taking zora's armor due to the pig on the bridge during the prince's rescue.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT WE CAN SKIP THE 2 LIGHT ORBS IN PALACE OF TWILIGHT:
How did no one find out about this? It was uploaded 3 years ago almost. I even tested this out and it does work, however I just realized that it doesn't matter because we still need the light sword to activate the platforms in the next couple of rooms. But still.
Since it only has 30 views after 3 years, I'm guessing the uploader never told anyone about it.
That's what I figured, but it's still useless considering we still need the light sword later. Still goes to show that there can be discoveries out there that we don't even know about.
I think I remember that we can skip it. Unless if someone finds a way to not need it, or to trick the game in thinking we have the light, it's pointless.
If we can use the howl stones for map skipping, can we use something else like a chest?
i imagine it'd be a pain carting it around (and may take more time than it'd save), but could a light orb be used as an alternate to the light sword, thus incorporating this trick and necessitating only getting one orb?
Interesting idea. I'll test with AR to see if you can even take it through other doors and light up any of those black orbs. If it is possible, then hopefully someone can find a way to get it across that gap.
BTW does activating a map glitch with a howl stone have any advantages? No one discovered another way to reach the ice dungeon without the regular map glitching, right?
He probably means that he just added a dummy segment from POT to Hyrule Castle.
No it's a timesaver. ABChimpas did it in his BiT speed run but I did it in a way that saves more time according to SDA timing. Chimpas skipped the Save after he beat Zant and then saved after he appeared back in PoT. However in my next segment, SDA doesn't start timing until I take control of Link so I completely skip the little cutscene that warps you into the temple and then I save, if I had done that the other segment, that time would have been accounted for in SDA timing, but not when you start a new segment.
I think they do count when a cutscene starts a segment, I recall being told that for example when you savewarp into the Temple of Time in OoT for the light arrows cutscene that will still get included in the timing.

That only counts for the first segment, not in the other segments.
Explain the magical 5 minutes or so that came off of Jiano's Wii segmented run then.

Really? Just because I recall Runnerguy saying timing doesn't occur until he takes control of Link, but that's the first segment of the oot speed run. But I'm sure it's like that for other segments at least, or else a lot of runs wouldn't be a couple minutes faster than the in game clock.
that's a gray area but it was determined that timing starts after you open the file, regardless of cutscenes, in any segment that isn't the first one. that was brought up thanks to the light arrow cutscene since someone eliminated it from timing and the controversy began.

But in the light arrow cutscene you are actually taking control(you have to press A for the texts) and this is just a 3 second warp cutscene where I can't do anything. Either way it still saves time doing this because I skip a Midna Prompt, but it doesn't save as much time if that's the case.
