TheVoid: I think the fastest way to jump into the void would be to let go of forward right before going off the edge so you just grab the ledge instead of jumping off, then let go, tho then he wouldn't be able to roll since he's on the title screen and only gets one A button press. Prolly should've mentioned this earlier, sorry. <<;

about how much faster do you think this would be?

I don't believe about the sidehops since you can only do so once, the faster is turn right/back (after respawning) then jump to mthe void from the broken part of the bridge, where you are supossed to put the statue to the heart piece

EDIT: why don't you people post the discussion at the ZSR

only a second if even that. I really don't think it's worth redoing it again just for this, but your call I guess.

yeah, i'm probably just going to move on to segment 2 ... i'm gonna say segment 1 could be improved by 1 second, but i'm not going to shoot for absolute perfection with this run.  Something close to perfect is fine with me.  I don't want to set such high standards that i never finish this run.

Chimpas - i will be using ZSR more, so expect me to be over there quite a bit as i work on this run

EDIT: Segment 2 ... i'm going to redo it because i forgot to leave an open file to save to at the end ... but how does it look besides that?
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Looks perfect to me.

Segment 2 re-done ... a little over 1 second faster this time

EDIT:  World Record Goat Herding in 16:85 ... guess i'm not such a TP noob anymore Tongue

just throwing it out there, but would it be worth it to submit this goat herding run?  could be a nice addition on the TP page ... or does SDA not accept stuff like this?
Exoray

Several game pages contain additional mini-game only runs (just look at the Mario 64 page). If the mini-game is something that's popularily contested, it could definitely go on the TP page. Goat herding is definitely one of those.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Wow very nice herding.
potential segment 3 ... i'm still going to try to improve this, but if i can't is this good enough to keep?

It's good enough to keep, I'd say. The Sumo Errors weren't catastrophically bad. Try to improve it, but if you can't see yourself beating this time, then it'll probably be okay.

UCpro, when doing segment 4 you can skip this text (2:54 in the video). Immediately (within fractions of a second) after skipping the cutscene, hold L and press A to jump and skip the text. This only saves around 2 seconds and the timing to get this to work can be difficult. Might not be worth it.

I love YaBB 1G - SP1!

No more runs being made?

I'm still gonna work on the run i started ... i just moved into a new apartment last week, so i'm in a little transition period right now.  But hopefully i'll be able to get back on my run in a couple weeks.

Oh, i'm probably not going to improve on my segment 3 attempt ... i'm going to keep it, even though a perfect sumo fight would be about 5-6 seconds faster.  I've spent so much time on that segment, i'm sick of it and need to move on.

Lol, that you are going to do and you call a speedrun is no more than  simple ettempt of speedrun, a good speedrun should be unbeatable, if you are thinking to put this as the recor better forget it, TPFox is infinitaly the best ad he could beat that if he wants without a bigger effort, please you must redo the run, segment 1 was just stupid, is annoying to see that two rollings to do a simple gate clip, just my two cents, now you now wath I think about that 'speedrun', lots of people would be happier if you do this a perfect run
Exoray
No, not really. We'd rather see a good and entertaining speedrun. Anyone that ever attempted to make a perfect run failed and gave up. That is definitely not something we would want happening to UCpro.

The problem with completing a "perfect" run is that it would take me close to forever to do.  I never went into this run trying to make it unbeatable ... i know that it would be beaten sometime in the future.  The thing is, everyone trying to pull off a "perfect" run stopped at some point, like moooh said.  So what i'm trying to do is just actually finish a run, and the best way to do that is to be satisfied with something that is less than optimal.  Of course i still want the run to be good ... and to this point i think it is.  My hope is that i would finish this run and that could give more skilled players some motivation to go and beat the time i get.

at this point though, i'm 50-50 about whether or not i'm going to continue with this ... there are some other runs i'd like to work on as well.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Well the way TP fox is going, if you go for almost perfect you should be able to hold the title for a while at least. So please continue. However, if you notice it's taking you too many months, then you may never get a record.
Stand: Devil's Call in your Heart
i think finishing the run can actually wake up slumbering runners and introduce potential challengers for a better time. that's the approach i had when i made my MKWii SS run since going perfect would be too much time consuming (and MKW didn't even have a page yet) and i don't mind if the run doesn't last very long.
also, there's no segmented GC run up yet and there's several new discoveries since the last run. just make sure the run doesn't have "bad" spots that could make verifiers complain.

Doing a sub-optimal segmented run is an absolutely terrible idea.  People who actually know the game would reject it instantly.

@UCPro: Lots of people (including myself) have dropped Twilight Princess runs because of how boring they are.  If you worry about not finishing the run in the future due to lack of commitment, dropping the run isn't that bad of idea.  If you feel you can keep at the run as well as you did with the SFA run, then by all means, go for it.

If you want to keep going, tackle another project on the side.  It's really easy to lose all interest in TP because you're playing it too much.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
I have never considered your 100% attempt boring. The few videos you posted about it were amazingly impressive. Trust me, they are not boring

I thought most of the run had got a setback because of the timegatetrick, and they had to be restarted to include it.

Boring to play, not to watch.
