Ok so i decided that i'm going to do a run of THAW's story/career mode.

------------------------=Possible Times=----------------------------
Any%:
Normal Mode:1:30
Sick Mode: 1:45

100%
Normal Mode: 2:00
Sick Mode: 2:15

------------------------------Questions?--------------------------------
Would the 100% runs involve getting full stats?
Would i have to do the skate ranch challenges for 100%?
Is there any way of skipping the unskipable cut scenes?
Is there anything else i would have to do?

Has anyone got any tips to help speed my run up. I know one but it wont save me much time. If anyone wants to know what the time saver is just ask.

I have no solution, but i admire the problem.
About 100%.. that might be hard to define for a game like this, although i'm not that familiar with wasteland. But anyways, before thinking of a 100% run, there has to be an any% run for the game, so you shouldn't care much about that at the moment.
I'm interested, but i don't have much to contribute. Maybe i'll take a look at that game sometime again, even if the story mode pissed me off quite quickly.

Do you have the option to record a sequence of you playing? Tony Hawk games have many little details in gameplay, so if you could i.e. publish a short video of you doing the first level, i could maybe help a bit.
Off-topic: Why do you bother to abbreviate the game when you also write the whole?

Thats easy. To let you know what it stands for. As I'm sure through the rest of the post he will refer to it as that.

But abbreviations are as follows: THAW. All letters must be capitol.

For a 100% run you'd also need all he gaps I think.

Good luck with it. thats all i have to say. One thing when we anyway discussing this game, after that skate ranch owner gets taken away with the cops? What shall I do then? There are no story missions left.

It's an unwritten rule that you do an any% run before publishing a 100% one. People want to see the fastest way to beat the game first, that's the most elemental type of a run. 100% runs have already been rejected or kept on hold because of that.

Trdef, you'll have to do the most work for this run on your own. I already said this in the other thread you opened: Look how the game works, what you can do to proceed faster, then you'll discover time savers and routes.

Anyways, as soon as i have some time again, i'll try to help you a bit. At least as much as i can without neglecting my other 2 runs.

An unwritten rule, is it? Okay.

Somebody should tell these guys that they're breaking the unwritten rules.

Ok thanks ill post my time saver which will save me about 3 minutes.
When you have to impress Dave Murphy and Boone to get into the ranch if you do the bit with Boone first you dont have to do the others.

Actually there are some missions left. You have to get the Pro's to join you to make money to buy Green Pipes Point

Well what exactly would you like to see as there are many aspects to this game?

As i said: a video of any sequence of the game, for example going through the first 10 missions.
And as i further said: You can't expect us to do half of the run for you, you're the main runner. Before asking for more help you should show some results.

By the way, on the pc, i could skip parts of the intro videos, like that comic before you choose a skater, if i remember correctly. But i guess there are a lot of unskippable cutscenes.
ActRaiser is Da Best!
Well for some reason with a lot of the scenes only half of it is skip able. I'm working on a proper plan now. Basically im just seeing which missions i have to do to progress and which are the fastest. I'm also trying to think about the best times to do sponsor challenges and spray paint jobs. I'm not going to bother doing the random dude money challenges as i can do the spray paint ones to get money and i need to do at least 3 in each area for later on in the game. And i will need to make sure to do some bike stuff. Would i be able to use the restart mission function or would that count as a segmented run? Will using the bus or driving count as a segmented run? Also if anyone has got  tips about missions later on in the game (Like a fast way to complete it) that would be great but if not thats fine.

Quite simply a Segmented run is done in pieces, a Single-Segment run is done in one continuous sitting.

None of the things you have listed would negate the possibility of a Single Segment run. Hell, you could even save and reload in the middle of your video (even though that would be a tremendous waste of time) - as long it's just one piece done all at once, it's still single segment.

Keep in mind though that everything between the start and the end of the game gets included in the timing. So if you need to use "restart mission" 50 times, you don't get to ignore or cut any of that out. It all goes towards your total time.
ActRaiser is Da Best!
Yeah i know but i thought it would be really useful if i mess up in a mission. Also i only asked because i thought it would be similar to save warping.
If you're restarting a mission because you messed up it doesn't count as save warping as you are essentially going backwards (back to the start of the mission) in terms of game completion. If, however, you use restart after completing a task in the middle of nowhere, in order to restart near the next task (I don't know THAW, but the original games have scenarios like this), then it may count as a form of warping (probably closer to death abuse, as you're using the pretext of failure to restart in a favourable location).

On the subject of no-one giving you useful help, it depends of a load of things, not least the popularity of the game here at SDA. In general if people don't know specifics (like strategies for missions) they'll talk about tricks you probably already know instead. Assuming of course that they know the game. If, however, no-one has approached the game in terms of speedrunning, you're not going to get much help and are going to have to do most, if not all of the research yourself.
ActRaiser is Da Best!
Yeah i know its not classed as save warping i was using that as something to compare it with. Like i said earlier im working on strategy quite soon.  Also I've never played thug before but i think it quite a bit like that.
