My best character is "failed wavedash near the edge suicide". Prepare your counterpicks.
I've got my counterpick planned out already, I've had a lot of practice against that character

Yeah I play Marth and Luigi.
I watched a couple of those matches, and they looked pretty good, though I couldn't help but notice you barely ever tornado, while I find it very useful. I guess just difference in style.

That's not me playing that someone from my school.

Oh lol, I was wondering why you used a different name...
I would think so, there's plenty of support for the game. I could run it if needed, if DK28 couldn't go. Hell, I'd race him even if he did go. Maybe if we were ahead of schedule and there were some donations I'd do it this year...
What all is different about Brawl+? I know Brawl- has all kinds of weird stuff to it but this just looks a little faster than normal Brawl.
Brawl+ started as a Melee clone, but in the Brawl engine through hundreds of small hacks and adjustments to every setting necessary; however that eventually became what Project M is going to be -- literally, Melee in the Brawl engine. Brawl+ as it is now in it's final form, is a much more competitive Brawl. It's nothing dumb like other major hacks like Balanced Brawl or Unbrawlable or whatever it's called. They still retain that horribly slow speed Vanilla Brawl plays at, and didn't fix basic crap like the "auto-ledge grab recovery cancel" that makes matches last unfairly longer than they should.
Brawl+ features physics that are as "Melee as possible, while not completely destroying what makes Brawl Brawl" in a horribly-chosen metaphor. Everyone falls faster. Everyone's moves feature a tremendous amount of reduced lag (excluding Meta Knight who has been nerfed in all obvious areas [cannot rise vertically while tornado'ing]) to make combos possible again. Particularly, in this match you'll see I can tether the edge with Toon Link's grapple repetitively quite fast -- doing it at even half that speed isn't possible in Vanilla. Though Brawl- has proven that implementing wavedashing is possible, it's something the Brawl+ team decided against because that's more a Melee thing.
There's some issues though. It's very tough to remain competitive with Melee and Brawl+ because the similarities overlap in various areas for me and I have to avoid playing Fox in Brawl+ often because mild saturation will result in doing habits from it in Melee ... and then I lose A LOT. Captain Falcon doesn't really play like a "brawl-ified Falcon" but rather as a gun-less Fox whose stuck in a human body. I find they got his feel wrong altogether, but I enjoy him because I play Fox. I hope to get a match using him up sometime this month whenever I play my friends again.
If you guys are interested, I'll definitely bring my Wii with me to the marathon and let you all try it out yourself. If you dislike Brawl because it's too slow or anti-competitive, yet want a stepping stone to Melee, this is definitely something to get interested in.

All I know is that there is no tripping and it's less floaty.
A more specific list: - Everyone falls faster. Less lag in nearly everyone's moves and animations. - Hit stun exists again (More damage taken = more stun occured = less options when 150%+ = less of a campfest beyond the first stock). Making combos possible again. - Previously non-tournament standard stages due to dumb stuff (Pokemon Stadium 2, for example) are now modified to remain static and are usable in tournament play. - Wii Online Match Wait Room (the wider FD with Sandbag) is now a playable stage. - Custom costumes and textures for all characters and stages are possible. - Custom music to override the stage music, menu music, character selection screen, opening movie, and victory theme for all characters is possible. - Custom character selection screens are possible (as in, arrange them literally how you like -- 4 big, 26 small; have only 10 characters selectable, deleting the remaining; etc.) - Character hacks are possible (such as modifying Donkey Kong into a Shadow the Hedgehog character complete with functioning Chaos Control power; Mewtwo from a modified Lucario; MGS4 Robotic Ninja Raiden from a modified Meta Knight; etc.), yet most are buggy and not balanced. Not blaming the hack community, but it's not something I'm really into ATM.
There's more, but I think you should be enlightened enough to know if you're excited about trying it or not. Finally, let me stress that this is nothing like Brawl- (minus). That hack's purpose is to make everyone super broken for lulz. I hate playing it after 5 minutes because it's too much. It's like playing pre-ban Yu-Gi-Oh back in 2006 or something. >_>;
EDIT: Also, subscribed to you neskamikaze, thought I did that when you uploaded that Melee match, but evidently not. ;P
I figured it wasn't like Brawl-, I saw MASTERLINX or whatever his name is post some matches of that and it was weird as hell. Yeah, I'd be into trying Brawl+ out, sounds pretty cool. My Brawl disk freezes up too much as it is. I don't have the camping patience to play normal Brawl anyways, I speedrun after all 3 stocks should not be taking 7 or 8 minutes, that's not even fun.
Anyone have a preference on what day we have the tourney? I would like to NOT have it before my games on friday. So anytime after that is ok with me. Mastashake needs to know so he can come to the center as a guest. So if yall dont care, I guess it will be up to shake to make the choice.
PJ: Correction, you won't be focused on anything except lagoon. But seriously, getting people to play during the marathon would be a nightmare, especially since neskamikaze can't play past the 8th.
Did this tourney happen? ...I'm going to assume not.
Well then, did Jiano and Peaches_ and Cosmo enjoy themselves while at the marathon? I noticed all their runs were one after another on the schedule, probably so they could return to their rooms for more Melee XD
