Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Gamecube Vers. or Wii?

It's been announced that the game will be released on both versions, and also Tingle is suspected to be in the game. But, which version will you get?

I have a Wii, but i'm going to get the Gamecube version because the controls on the gamecube feel a bit more controlly, and I think the controls will be easier to tackle.

What the hell? How's THAT shooting themselves in the foot? GCN owners that don't have a Wii can have Brawl, and Wii owners that have Brawl (may) have online play.

I would say that you should get the Wii version. It runs the possibility of patches and online play, and you're also working with a slightly improved system to play it on. It's (probably) the exact same game with the exact same controller setup. I honestly can't think of any reason as to why you would take the GCN version, lest you don't have a Wii in the first place.

While a new Smash Bros is almost a license to print money, it becomes a license to print licenses to print money when you make it cross-platform to a user base that is far larger than any of the next-gen systems alone.

I seriously doubt this is going to happen. The Gamecube is dead. After Twilight Princess, it pretty much just died.

When was it ever not dead? Last I checked, it came 3rd in the console race last generation.

This is just dumb on Nintendo's part if its true. I have friends that were going to buy a Wii when brawl came out, and NOT for the online play. I'm not sure they'll still want to buy it when they can just play it on their GC.

Could you tell me where the rock is that you live under so I can go smack you? It's been said since they first announced the game that they want to have the GCN controller be the controller for it so they wouldn't have to make complex controls and can stick with the old ones.
