Here is that Whomp glitch that was mentioned earlier in this thread.

And I do have a (possibly stupid) theory for a speedtrick in Bowser's Star reactor.

If it works, it wouldn't save more that 3 seconds. I don't think this would even save time, but we'll see...

For the Sky Station Green star 1, side-flipping (or triple jumping) into the star is possible. I've been unable to do it after 2 long jumps (to get to under the star) because I keep messing up the flip.

In short, it may be faster to stay low, because the spin is cut out.

This is the wrong post for this thread, but I think it definitely has to do with speed running. If you guys want to see some speedruns, I'll be over on ustream doing some individual levels once and awhile, just like the ones that you see on my youtube/packattacks/everyone else who speedruns individual levels. I will take requests in the chat. So check in on the "Speedrunners on Ustream!" Thread every once and awhile :).

I've seen some of your times at Cyberscore, and you've got some great ones; we'd love to see more of your videos.

That's an obviously excellent time at a really cool stage 8) You must be a SMG1 expert.

edit: That's definitely the swankiest octopus-bashing I've ever seen! The other bosses look highly optimized too, but the octopus is something special.

(If you decide you want to record videos for SDA's main site you'd need a different recording method, such as a DVD recorder, but a good-quality video camera recording like that is certainly fine for YouTube videos and showing off your routes.)

I never knew there was a Yoshi in this stage. Wow that really sucks. If I had known that, I wouldn't have bothered with this at all. Why would they stick yoshi in a standard level like this?

He's in that 2nd crystal you passed just before you landed on the green block at 0:25.

Beat Block - Silver Stars in Double Time - 40.31

edit: There's probably a way to infinite flutter to the first silver star, then immediately backflip off Yoshi to grab the 2nd one. Getting the angle correct and the timing of the blocks would be very frustrating, but it would save a few more seconds.
