Spin dig speed trick - saves 2 seconds
Hightail Falls ending strategy - saves 3.5 seconds
Even though I know exactly what to do, the Hightail Falls trick still seems ridiculously difficult.
Awesome tricks LogitechSDAZ

A few new videos:

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Beat Block Galaxy - Green Star 1 - 13.65

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Spin-Dig Galaxy - Green Star 1 - 18.43

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Rightside Down Galaxy - Breaking the Laws of Gravity - 1.13.51

Modified the World 1 section of the Star Times page to test out a tabular format. To revert, go into the page's history and click the "Undo" link after the revision.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, don't worry about the two videos I marked as SDA Ready or not; those are just for illustration purposes so you know the templates exist.
I like the new format you made for the first world in the star times table.
Nice job!
It's a BIG HEAD!
I'm all for changing to that one.
Improved the Hot-Stepping Dash Pepper time using a new ending strategy based on logitechSDAZ ideas.  His ending probably has more potential than mine, but it was very tough for me to get his angle.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Hightail Falls Galaxy - Hot-Stepping Dash Pepper - 1.04.91

Ultimately, this levels comes down to whether or not you skip a few planet landings more so than if you have a perfect ending.  Skipping the first hard planet landing saves nearly a full second since you still have pepper remaining.
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
I like the idea of the new layout, but it doesn't look too great for people without the default skin:

Also, perhaps the runner names should link to their YouTube channels, since that's where the videos are.

Hmm. I changed the level names to white because the black looks too dark on the dark gray cell background. Maybe some form of light gray would be a good compromise. Likewise, I could add black borders so they'd show up on the other skin, but still look the same on the default. Using the YouTube channel sounds good to me. I was thinking people could use the talk page links to contact the runners, but everyone seems to be doing the planning here in this thread, so no biggie.

EDIT: Okay, changed up the page a bit so hopefully it displays better on the skin you use. I also made a template to make adding star times a bit easier. Now you just fill in the empty parameters and it should be all set.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!

Has anyone other than me actually done a 70 star run yet? I mean, yea, Individual level runs are great, but I want to see someone takes those skills over to a single segment 70(1) Star run.
My personal best is 4:11:15 (This is using the games timing when the game sends you get sent a message to your wii message board telling you your time)
I don't have the free time to do a single segment run so I won't be attempting any.  I prefer working on individual levels anyway.
Puzzle Plank Galaxy - Purple Coin Shadow Vault - 41.25
Submittable, but it'll be beaten.

I don't think I used an optimized route.
Diagonal long jumps may have a lot of potential.  You can land two levels higher than you jumped from, I think.
It's a BIG HEAD!
I managed an route in the Shadow Vault which can give the player 33 seconds left in the timer. I just can't do it for my life -.-

You jump out the pipe and collect the 3 most closest clusters, then go to the opposite side of the vault compared to Slowbros start. Go straight forward (A long jump should speed it) to the back of the room, then get the coins below them, a bit to the left, then collect the top row, and then go to the bottom of the other side, getting all coins there. Next you collect 2 first clusters from the now lowest ones, and then jump to the next level and run diagonally towards the middle where the star appears, and then diagonally to the other side again. Then you drop down and collect the remaining coins, and you are very close to the Star.

Confusing enough? If someone is willing to make an image with the vault and the coins + star from up view, I can draw you an route, Lol.

Maybe you could draw your route on the image I posted Smiley although it's not a very good image.

I watched my video, and kinda lol'd at what an inefficient route I used Tongue  I seem to have the record for now but it will be beaten.
(well I'm sure some people have beaten it already)

Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
I got an S-video cable for Wii, so I think I'll record some ILs. Here's one to start off with; hopefully I or someone else will improve it later:

Grandmaster Galaxy--The Ultimate Test--2:41.43
It's a BIG HEAD!
@najzere: 0.o, it looks good!

anyway, here's an route for that map. Made with paint in 2 minutes, then my paint crashed.

The yellow ball is where the star appears (I think) and the blue line notes an potential alt route.

There may be better routes, but this should give an 33 secs left on the timer if done well, even without longjumps.

Boulder Bowl Green Star 2 - 12.95

Bowser Jr.'s Fearsome Fleet Green Star 1 - 15.18

edit: From the beginning of Tall Trunk to the launch star can be done in 15 seconds without Yoshi. Not sure if this is any quicker than the fastest possible blimp Yoshi route or not.
Nice videos LogitechSDAZ.

I made a few more:

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Sky Station Galaxy - Green Star 1 - 3.55

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Flipsville Galaxy - Green Star 3 - 33.60

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Freezy Flake Galaxy - Bowser on Ice - 54.33
