I'm almost finished with one of my hush-hush speedruns...I figure I'll be able to pick SMB2 back up in a month or two. If I go up to the Portland Gaming Expo next month, I'll do some practicing in person.

This was NTSC, and I wanted to throw the shyguy to do that little trick, when they get stuck inside the floor! Tongue

Maybe it might have something to do with that autorocket thing spawning a fireball at the same time you let go of the shyguy?

Edit: Dxtr, when you got that game over in our race, you could have saved like 50+ seconds if you had done my Janky warp. Next time in Skövde, I will show you it! Seems way easier to explain in Swedish. Btw, I also got some other stuff to talk with you about! Grin

Also, a pitfall speedrun? That's interesting. I know that there was someone at TG who tried to get a perfect time and score at the same time (Are they one and the same)? Anyhow, I'd like to see a pitfall speedrun even though I've never played the game. I have watched them in the past.

I managed to kill all enemies except me when I tried the glitch jsut now. On that aprt of that level Andrew, no enemies respawned... hmm

If this is anything like the glitched SMB2 run, I perhaps could make this to work, perhaps end up at the ending sequence?! Wink

I have 2 videos on twitch seeing me doing all crazy things, like part of the level disapears and you fall down where you're not supposed to etc, we have to see. I will do some more research before posting the savefile on tasvideos! Wink

There is a reason why I bought All-Stars NTSC.

Right now I'm trying to go over to NTSC for good, using emulators to practice etc. Mostly smb3 atm. but will come back to this as soon as I get PAL knowhow out of the way. There will be alot of races in the future. One thing I learned, no matter how good you are, you will almost lose races by default using PAL, well, not in SMB2! Wink

Or you get 17 % time left, if the other guy finishes ^^
Think of it, you seem behind, but you're using PAL, and you snipe the other NTSC guy by half a second or whatever. That's a win, isn't it? Wink

Before I bought All-Stars, I only owned SMB2, Dick Tracy and Dirty Harry on NTSC. lol

So yeah, will be back on this as soon as I get a grip on SMB3 ntsc! smb1 or lost levels are kinda the same, but not smb3.
