Definitely coming *ok, ok, so SOMETHING could happen that would stop me, but I see nothing as of now*

As for Aitamen's perlers ... okay, I have a sneaking suspicion that Aitamen got kind of a sour deal in the last marathon.  How about this:  Could those of us that would like to do some early forms of donating pay Aitamen to make some stuff for the marathon?  I know he lives off of selling them, and he basically makes them himself, so I'd hate to see weeks and weeks of work go to waste for him.
Waiting hurts my soul...
Aitamen: last time he made them at cost and paid for shipping (possibly a little of the perlers as well). Knowing they're in demand, I wouldn't mind if he made money on the deal.
Bwahahaha... there WILL be domination!
It wasn't really a sour deal: I loved supporting SDA and PCF.  Yeah, it could've gone better, but I'm certainly not upset over getting to do something so amazing.

Also, I'm only kinda bummed I can't come... I'm split between wanting to and knowing that I could make a total ass of myself and disgrace SDA publicly, which is something I don't want to do (Also, I'd need a ride there >_>)

Put me down for "Probably coming." As for the games I can run:

Call of Duty (~1:50:00)
Call of Duty 2 (~2:40:00)
Left 4 Dead 2 (Haven't timed it yet, but if I had to guess, I'd say ~1:30:00)
IWBTG Glitched run (~0:30:00)
Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland any% (~0:50:00)
Kirby's Epic Yarn (~1:55:00)

Probably won't do the CoD games because they're long and boring. Also, on the subject of food, I could probably convince my parents to cook up some authentic cajun cuisine. Hope you guys like jambalaya. Tongue

Willing to teach you the impossible
Given I get the time off from work (I am 95% sure I will get it off), I will be there. So put me down as definitely. I already have money saved up and I am so ready to go. I would prefer to stay at the house, but if room is tight then I can get a room else where, no biggie.

Games I can offer (as I get better at other games I am working on, I will update the games I can offer)

(NES) Contra ~14:00 (donation war for weapons/no weapons)
(NES) Super C ~15:00 (donation war for weapons/no weapons)
(NES) Double Dragon ~13:00
(SNES) Mega Man X2 ~42:00
(N64) 1080 Snowboarding ~11:30 real time (donation war for snowboarder)

Note: I will be 100% OK if I don't get to run any games at all. Giving others the chance to run in more important to me. I just want to be there for the community. If I get to run a game or 2 then sweet, if not then I wont be down at all Wink

-Kirby & the Amazing Mirror co-op (only if Sir VG is coming, but setup time is big so it'd probably be 40 min)

OH MAN.  I'm so gonna have to make this work now.  If Jman wants to join too, I've got carts and cables, so just need systems.

Ha.  Give yourself at least an hour.  Hmmm, potential race again.

Quits halfway
I would definitely be able to make it, and would only need some carpet/heavy blanket for sleeping. Would it be alright to arrive on the 27th and leave the 2nd? If not, I can arrive/leave on different dates if that would be staying too long.

Seems like a lot of others have this covered, but I'm pretty good with video tech stuff as well, so might be able to help with that somewhat.

Games I can definitely run:

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (would probably do NG+ 100% and maybe a boss rush, not sure on time since I normally just use in-game clock. Probably around 40 mins combined.)
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (Richter Mode NG 35 mins?)
Castlevania: Harmony of Despair (no idea on realtime, but just an NG+ SS of the chapters)
Formerly known as Skullboy
Please put me on the interested/maybe list. I will honestly not know if I can actually come or not for several months. It will depend on summer work and grad school. Hopefully I'll know sooner then later.

If I can make it, I would like to run Dynamite Headdy (unless Arrow comes, then he can run it.) Time estimate is 60 minutes (that includes mistake/problem time).

I can also join in the Kirby Super Star and Amazing Mirror fun if needed. If possible,

I'd also like to run Mcdonald's Treasure Land Adventure. It's a fun game that many don't know about (or assume it's bad because you play as Ronald Mcdonald). Time estimate is 45 minutes (if it takes me that long, I'm playing wrong.)

Oh man, I forgot how fun that game is. I could join in and make a race of it, if people would like to see that.
SGL Scrublord
I'd like to be a maybe, I need to see if its feasible for me to head out there (moneywise) come the summer. Not that I have any real site presence on SDA, but I'd like to hit up this and the next winter marathon while I'm not fully immersed in my future career... dang blasted growing up.

If so, I know I'd definitely run The Guardian Legend (1 hour), though I guess I should find another game to make me worth my space on the roster of 30. Maybe Bionic Commando (25 minutes for outrageous grappling mistakes, pipipi) or Demon's Crest (Little over an hour for 100%, famous last words). I'd likely only be able to do one or the other, as I've never tried them for speed before. I imagine practicing three games at once might be a bit risky come prime time Smiley
You got a deletion wish?
Chalk me as maybe.  And my sister wants to tag along (and wants to do SOMETHING).  Will have sleeping bags.  Ultimate question would be traveling how? (car or plane)

I could do Thexder Neo again (est. 12 minutes if the boss decides to be a fink)
Also The Bouncer (runs are 19 mins, in-game; I'll watch them again and figure the real times, I'd say 30 mins.)  Will take donations for character choice and who pilots the air carrier during the Mugetsu III fight (can't be same as character I'm playing, will go to next in line otherwise).
I'm just trying to impress you.
I'm mildly interested. I can run blast corps any (30 min), blast corps 100 (2hr), or system shock 2 (30min)
Not a walrus
So romscout suggested I run Super Metroid, which would take about an hour and a half for any%, but if somebody else wants to step up I don't mind handing it off.

I can d0 100% Super Metroid in about 1:15->1:30 in game time, I could probably improve, or just do an any% if I practice alot. I wouldn't mind puting the effort in to get better and do a run for the marathon if no one else wants to do so more :P.

EDIT: Just pulled off a 100% Single Segment in 1:17, game time.
It's time for some HEErooooOOOOHi cs!

I'll be down for learning, it'd cut down the time even more. I can practice on emulator if need be.

Also, I'm buying SotN soon thanks to Romscout, so that race is looking way more likely.

Willing to teach you the impossible
We had the same issue with the last marathon. We need REAL time, not game time.
that Metroidvania guy
Yea especially for Super Metroid. Hotarubi's 0:32 is actually like 56 minutes long.
Willing to teach you the impossible
No, we need to know real time for all games. I start my time at power up threw end of credits. So there is time to cut is needed during the marathon.
that Metroidvania guy
Yea I think everyone else has been using real time so far from what I can tell, thankfully.
Now a hit show on the CW
Go ahead and put me down for Probably Coming. Utah's close enough that I may consider driving. Unfortunately, I don't think there's anyone on the way that I could pick up. As for games I'm willing to run:
Mega Man 9 (45 minutes)
Katamari Damacy (1 hour)
We <3 Katamari (1 hr 20 min)
Toejam and Earl 2 (1 hr 5 min)
Dynamite Headdy (50 minutes, assuming we skip the hour long ending)

I haven't played We <3 Katamari or TJ&E2 recently, so I may need to update those estimates after some practice runs (if we decide to include them).

I can also do Super Mario Bros. if we really want it in the marathon and no one else volunteers. I'm no Andrewg, but I've been doing casual runs of it for a while now.

We could make a race out of it Smiley Would you be running the NA or Japanese version? It might be kind of cool to play the two versions side by side so people watching can see all the differences.

I will definitely come if I'm able to carpool with Zenic.  I'd be more than happy to pay for gas and stuff.  I would probably have to take the Metro to LA to meet up though considering I'm in Riverside.  The games I could run are listed in the other Summer Marathon thread, but I know there's a lot to consider when choosing games so I won't mind if the PS1 games get axed since they're both a little over 2 hours (though I would want to do 1).  Phun times!
Put me down as a maybe, I guess.  I don't really have many games I'm able to speedrun, but I guess I have several months to learn one.

What part of Riverside are you in? I might not be too far from you; since he's heading down the 15, we could maybe arrange for you, me, and JMan to all go in one place (we're all relatively close, honestly) and Zenic to pick us up. That's got lots of time, though. We could also meet up sometime maybe. :v
Intruding N313 and F014
I'm also in (central) Riverside (county), so I could possibly help carpool if it is going to be crowded.  I intend on driving

As for my Pomeranian, he does tend to be a bit yappy at times (they all are), but is generally quiet.  He is good natured around strangers.

A yappy dog in a crowded house where people are going to be sleeping at odd hours doesn't sound like a good idea to me (plus there may be people who feel uncomfortable around dogs); but it's obviously Essentia/Denton's call.
