Do you know the Muffin Man?
Instead of a "must see list" why don't we just have the ability to rate a movie? That way anyone can see which is the most popular.
Thread title:
It's probably harder to implement, and nobody likes more work Smiley I like the idea of some form of rating, though.

you can rate on the archive page, but nobody seems to know / nobody care! that's bad
I'm opposed to any kind of ratings or 'best movies' selections.

look, if you want to know which runs are most popular, just read around on the forums often.  Tongue

Ratings are kind of pointless; everyone will like to see runs on games they like. Smiley
...
I think it would be more interesting to be able to see how many times a record has been beaten since the first video was submitted to SDA.

A simple chart with the previous record holders and their times would show people which runs have had the most competition.

You can add 4:57 OOT by TSA, and weren't there a few more SM64 16 star NTSC runs?
dinosaur from the past
To say nothing of the various Metroids, although I don't have a clue what the older ones were.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Well Metroid Prime 100% was at 2:10 or so for a while by Radix, then he did 1:37, then kip had 1:36 without even trying, then finally sparky got 1:28 I guess.

As for any%, I remember kip had 1:22 for the longest time... I think it was Radix who did 1:19, then I'm pretty sure someone else did 1:18 (sorry, can't remember who... if it even happened), then I guess it was 1:04 by kip again.

All the old, outdated runs can be found on archive.org.

except for all the old, outdated runs that were hosted on planetquake, right?

you can put the wind waker run by david gibbons (7:08 ) and the newer by TSA, and also the very popular falf life 2 run, as well as every metroid games that i dont know both the ancient and newest best times... for fun, again
revised the list and it looks quite nice.
Yoshi's eggs are at my mercy!
>_>; This now formatted "who beat who" list seems out of place here. Perhaps Radix could sticky it elsewere. Anyway, that was somewhat entertaining, thanks for the 411.
