Hey Ho Let's Go
I'm creating this thread to give newcomers to Quake speedrunning a chance to watch Quake demos without having to go through the hassle of downloading the game and all the demos, etc. Also, I've been planning to create a torrent of all the Quake videos, but I haven't gotten around to it, yet.
Anyways, here are the links with a short explanation for each video. People are welcome to add more links if they know of some I haven't listed. Also, I'd like to know if any of the links I've posted are dead (I haven't gone through them all).
Quake done 100% Quick lite 2 - 681 MB
http://www.archive.org/details/Qd100Qlite2
This is a run that completes Quake on Easy difficulty, killing all monsters and finding all secrets on all maps
while getting from start to end as fast as possible. Finishing time is 33:33
Quake done double Quick lite - 392 MB
http://www.archive.org/download/QddQlite/QddQlite.avi
Quake done double Quick lite is only the 3rd attempt for the QdQ team to run through Quake in cooperative mode. Finishing time is 9:55
Quake done Chopped - 1.1 GB
http://www.archive.org/details/Quake_done_Chopped_11214
Quake done Chopped is a run through Quake on Easy Skill, killing all monsters except zombies, using only the axe.
RUN DMC - 37,6 MB
http://speeddemosarchive.com/quake/projects/rundmc/run-dmc-recam.avi
This is the recammed version of the RUN DMC movie, a run on Easy Skill through the Deathmatch Classics episode, a series of single player conversions of classic DM maps by Connor Fitzgerald.
http://speeddemosarchive.com/quake/projects/rundmc/run-dmc.avi
Same as above, but without the recams.
http://speeddemosarchive.com/quake/projects/rundmc/run-dmc-fov120.avi
Same as above, but with FOV 120.
The Nolans 2004
http://www.archive.org/details/Quake_Nolans2004
Speed runs of various Quake levels, voted the best of those made in the year 2004 at the 4th annual Nolan awards. Not all winning demos were converted to avi for this entry, but all that were are avialable in both 320x240 and 640x480 versions.
Fiend Run Lite - 259 MB
http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/movies/quakedonequick/frl_cam.avi
A 10:00 run through Quake on Easy Skill morphed as a Fiend! That's right, we used a morph mod to turn the normal Quake guy into a Fiend. This opened up for a bunch of new tricks - of course - which aren't do-able with the normal Quake guy. Increased speed, increased jumping-range, increased damage, etc.
http://www.fileplanet.com/dl.aspx?/planetquake/qdq/frl_fp.avi
Same as above, but without the recams.
Scourge done Slick - 368,9 MB
http://www.fileplanet.com/dl.aspx?/planetquake/qdq/SdS_hq.avi
A run through all of Scourge of Armagon, the first official mission pack for Quake, on nightmare skill. Originally released in '98, it still stands as our most ambitious project to date!
Speed Beyond Belief Lite 2 - 83 MB
http://www.fileplanet.com/dl.aspx?/planetquake/qdq/sbblite2_cam.avi
This is the recammed version of the Speed Beyond Belief Lite 2 movie, a run on Easy Skill through the custom Quake episode created by Matthias Worch.
http://www.fileplanet.com/dl.aspx?/planetquake/qdq/sbblite2_fp.avi
This is the first person recordings only. Still worth a download though if you want to see all the action up close!
Dimension Of The Gibbed - 305 MB
http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/movies/quakeworld/dotg.zip
This is a recammed version of the Dimension of the Gibbed movie, with goofy comments/plots and whatnot! We ran a series of contests on SDA, and this is the result of those contests. This movie is hilarious and definitely a must download! And to make things even more impressive, it was nearly a one-man effort!
http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/movies/quakeworld/dotg_fp.zip
This is the "light" version of the DotG movie. It's the first person recordings only, but it's still worth a download. You get to see how the tricks are done close-up, something you can't really see in the refilmed version.
SDA Promotion Video - 89,9 MB
http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/trailers/movies/quakeworld/sda_promo.avi
This is a fun little show-off movie made to promote SDA. It's high octane action spiced up with some hard pounding music. It was the first movie we released created with the JoeQuake engine courtesy of Jozsef Szalontai, who also is the man behind this movie.
the Rabbit Run (tRR)
http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/movies/quakeworld/trr.avi
This is an Easy Run (skill 0) through all of Quake in 10 minutes and 58 seconds! We haven't yet released a .pak file version of this movie, so this will have to do for now. This is the eyecandy version. Custom textures were used.
http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/movies/quakeworld/trr_gold_hq.avi
This is the normal version without any of the eyecandy stuff. For the high-bandwidth users.
Quake done Quicker - 710 MB
http://www.archive.org/details/Quake_Done_Quicker
This is the refilmed version of the 16:35 run through Quake on Nightmare skill.
Quake done Quick with a Vengeance - 165,8 MB
http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/movies/quakedonequick/qdqdivx.avi
The first movie we ever released in .avi form (the clever reader will notice the date is 5 days older than those of the Scourge done Slick 'Toon flicks, but don't let this fool you, QdQwav WAS actually released before, just not to the general public). It was originally released on the Quake done Quick site. It's our most popular movie to date, I'm not sure why though, 'cause several of the other movies are easily more impressive, SdS, DotG and tRR in particular. This doesn't mean this movie is bad though, it's just a tad outdated I'd say.
Scourge done Slick 'Toon - 131 MB
http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/movies/quakedonequick//SdSToon_Web_smooth_DivX.avi
These three movies were made with an old version of the tRR engine. Anthony Bailey added this weird looking effect to the engine. I'm not sure how viewing friendly it is, but it has its charm :-)
http://www.machinima.com/film/view&id=206
Same as above, just a smaller filesize for those with low-bandwidth.

There's more than one download location for each movie, so it might be worth visiting this link instead of clicking on the links above (some of the links are probably broken):
