the 2 ogres suck on e1m3...iwhat's nice on e1m3 is that you can shortcut behind the GKdoor by triggering the trap get back on the stairs jump on the trap-spike thing andd then onto the little doors of the trap..voila

Also, it would be nice if you guys could record with 50 health instead of 100, doing it that way will prevent us from ending up with demos that aren't valid because of starting stats from the previous map.
You could also use the ending stats from the previous map like I did in e1m3.
i) impulse 90-95 don't appear to work with the axe patch so how do we set start stats. If the run before yours isn't final then it's a bitch to set to 50H 0A.
ii) the reason I ask is because of e2m3. Ilkka's demo has him exiting from the regular exit not the secret exit. This is because you need to shoot the high button to open the secret that has the switch which opens the bars which block the secret exit, if you see what I mean.

I we're going to get ep2 under 20 mins and use the secret exit in e2m3 then it's going to take some serious work. If someone (Basil?) does the og jump then enters the secret area then runs to the secret exit it's going to add 20-25 seconds to the run (you probably won't be able to kill the last ogre with the quad if you're doing the og jump). Ilkka's demos can probably be improved by 10 seconds so we've already lost 10-15 seconds on the episode.
I'll save another couple of seconds on e2m7 before I'm done but someone will have to do something pretty drastic on one of the other levels to get sub 20:00.

The project page has been updated with three demos.
- e2m2 in 1:44, so that shaves off another 5 seconds to episode 2, but... - ...basil did e2m3 in 2:55 using the secret exit, so that adds 43 seconds to ep2 - and finally I improved e4m4 by 11 more seconds to 4:50
I'm waiting for Nolan to fix the axed progs, coz there's one monster you can't kill on e4m5 due to the ammo boxes being removed. When that is fixed, I'll try e4m5.
Basil's route for e2m3 seems good to me. He was just unlucky that the shambler didn't move out of it's start room which meant wasting 6-8 seconds running back and forwards and so running out of quad and having to kill a DK and an Ogre without quad.
Sorry guys, I just don't think I'm going to be able to do e4m8.
You need to do 2 OG jumps (well, the second one you don't HAVE to do but it saves 20 seconds or so and is pretty easy) and the first one is the one up to the gold key just as in the normal runs. I just CAN'T do it.
Oh. And the 3 fiends in the teleport room are pretty tricky too. :-)
