A hat riding a mage?!
Quote from Greenalink:
You can only get the master ball at the last part of the game, also some shadow PKMN have a limited appearance from NPCs (Entei only appears twice and if you fail to capture it, it won't come back).

The gerbils are re-catchable in Deep Colosseum (that's after beating the game), since the finals there have you fight the admins. Source, section 6-h.
You cannot completely miss any pokemon in the game, or in XD for that matter.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about the route for this run.

No problem; anything I can do to help plan the run. Again though, if you catch Suicune then you'll have to face a Lv48 Milotic in Realgam. Suicune may have Surf to complement Raikou's Rain Dance/Thunder, but so does Feraligatr. Also, Suicune takes longer to level up. Feel free to test this out though - I'd love to know how that tradeoff would work out in practice.

i should know...catch the legends early and the replaced pokemon are always stronger..
ALWAYS...Milotic has a fairly high and annoying defense giving enough of a reason to skip Suicine.
entei...and raikou...Catching tyrantiar might be handy though..because of the thunderstorm ability
Anyone have any ideas for the first Venus fight in a run such as this(like how to keep Espeon alive)?
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
That was the battle you were having trouble with Banette?

Misdreavus has high attack + Shadow Ball + the speed to pull it off. At the very least, it'll give Espeon a head start in the battle.
Everybody loves Hypnotoad!
Feraligatr's bite should put a large dent in Banette.  And with only 65 base speed to Feraligatr's 78, you should go first with a chance to flinch.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
But will that "large dent" be enough to stop the "total demolition" of Espeon afterwards?
Everybody loves Hypnotoad!
Unless Espeon is otherwise occupied, its psychic will be more than enough to finish Banette off.

Also, you can always manipulate for flinch.

for 100 percent to catch all the shadow pokemon just use the infinite master ball glitch

Can't you face the Admins every third round in the Deep Colleseum? Hardly optimal, but a point. Then again, it's been around 2 years since I've played Colleseum seriously.
