This looks like it's exactly the kind of game that I would be... HORRIBLE at. That said, it looks incredibly cool and I'm sure MANY shortcuts will (and already have) come out of that gameplay mechanic. Good luck on the run, I look forward to seeing it.
That wallflower route is really nice. And I've had the "glitch" you used in around the corner happen to me, I just hadn't yet found a way to actually make it useful.

Well, I noticed that you guys haven't figured it out yet... I'm going to make a video about it soon.
Lots of route changes from you guys. I have a small update on the [c]ube route, at least I haven't seen it here yet. If you get on the closer half of the cube you don't have to run as around much and can get off maybe a second quicker. The setup involves standing closer to the cube and getting on right as the corner turns.

Found something to help with Power Reserves. If you enter the console from the right side, its possible to start on that far wall without needing to make the jump. Found this by mistake. It doesn't seem to require precise positioning. Also. floating in air at end of video
I did a terrible run with out of date routes, but this thread hasn't had an update in forever. I have barely even begun to run this game so I can still shave off minutes. I just want to post it here to hopefully revive the thread. I picked upt his game to play casually and realized that it seems like a fun game to try and run because it is so unintuitive sometimes.
It's 10:37; go ahead and critique the run if you want, but it's pretty obvious where I can save time so it isn't really necessary.
Ok so I just got a 9:17:66 BUUUUUUUUUT......xsplit doesn't like perspective. It stopped capturing the game footage as soon as I tabbed into the game. I had no idea. Luckily I made a few mistakes that cost me like ~8-10 seconds and there are a few routes I still haven't added tot he run. I'll post a youtube video as soon as I hit sub 9. If you still want me to upload the sound + my splits and webcam I will...but no point in uploading it otherwise...
I hate to triple post, but my most recent time is 8:32:45. On my current route there's around 10 or 13 seconds to shave, I messed up in tower and power reserve as well other minor mistakes throughout the run. Plus another 5 seconds if I use Toten's Super Octogon route (it's faster than the normal route but I haven't been able to do it in a run consistently) Basically my goal is to find a way to record a run without any lag, even if I only manage to record a run that has big mistakes an 8:45 is still significantly faster than anything I've been able to find.
I'd say sub 8:20 is possible, but sub 8 would require a new route to be found.
Ok so no one else has seemed to be interested in this game. This doesn't really matter to me because running it is really fun, but I would like others to play it. I've never really come across a game that plays anything like this, especially when you play it fast.
I'm not interested in running it, but I'm totally interested in watching it. I don't follow this thread much but I'm glad to hear you're making progress, and I can't wait to see the finished product!
I've hit a bit of a snag in running. I started up the game today and all of a sudden I am unable to do short hops. Usually if you press jump very quickly then instead of doing a full jump you just do a hop. This saves about 1 second in the first level alone. This actually ruins a few of my routes that used hops to save time, and I have lost all ability to control he height of my jumps. I will be trying to fix this issue but until this is fixed I probably can't even beat my current PB. Though I won't be running it all for the next few weeks because of school.
Ok so that problem is fixable. For some reason the game will randomly let you hop and sometimes it won't (well...this is a student game after all). I uploaded an updated run that isn't my PB, but it showcases most of the knowledge that is in this thread. If someone else has a faster recorded run I would like to see it so I can see how much better you are than me.
I don't know if anybody is actively running this anymore, but it looks like fun! Some of these tricks are things that I've never even thought of before.
