I hope this isn't known but I found a way to skip half of the shadow temple. It involves going through the cage and into the boat room from the first silver rupee room.

EDIT_4: Here's a better quality video of it, I got too frustrated when trying to nail the hover to the boat.

EDIT_5: Here's the boat trick I was talking about earlier

At last! Great job, guys.
I used to be athiest until I realized I was God.
Hey guys

I know you have put a lot of work into this run so I almost dont want to say this but

I have found a big glitch that will let you skip to the adult link very early. You dont even need to talk to Mido. Here is what you are doing:

1) When you would buy the deku shield, instead leave the forest and go to Hyrule Field (this is explaned later)
2) If you do it correctly, you can get to the temple of time before you are supposed to.
3) Although you cannot skip everything in here (its hard to explain) you can get around the block very easily if you angle yourself just right and do the jumping movement.

As for getting to hyrule early, it is hard to explain, but you need the correct angles.

That is all for now, let me know if you have any question and I will answer!

Would you be able to make a video?  I don't quite get it.

Could you perhaps explain further you're using very vague terms. BTW, jumpslashing at perfect angles isn't easy.

i cant be bothered to explain every super intracite detail to a key

i've already explained it at HUGE LENGTH and can't be bothered by your constnat demands for more and more

I think you should go try it !

This doesn't look like a good sign to me, but I hoping you'll surprise me.

How dumb do you think we are? Seriously.

I bet no one here has ever tried jumpslashing through the Door of Time at an angle. Roll Eyes

If there's no video, it ain't legitimate. Smiley

Nope, I only tried for 4 hours when I found out about the acute angle glitches. Roll Eyes

I think you need to use bottles for this trick to work.

The1AndOnly discovered a trick to skip the entire child portion of the game, the temple of time cutscene and have the all the Temples completed. You will have all the items necessary to complete the game without this trick in your inventory. (except the Light Arrows)

Segment 3

Segment 4

Segment 5

Segment 3 - You can't really go wrong with this one.

Segment 4 - Absolutely owned the 2 skulltulas on the vine.  If you're wondering why I wait a little bit after I hit the 2nd skulltula, I do that because if I don't and I jump of the chest right away, he pushes me off of the vine.

Segment 5 - Pulled off the skulltula trick swiftly and surely.  Hitting that 2nd Deku Scrub with the first Deku Scrubs Deku Nut was the luckiest and coolest thing I have ever done.

No offense, but would you mind using Youtube?
(If any segment is longer than 10'58", you can always chop it up into smaller segments like Yautja.)

Here's the new Shadow route, which I cross-posted on TASvideos:
Shadow Temple walkthrough from zelda.com (PDF)
SC 2 - Get the Hover Boots using optimal Dead Hand strategy
SC 3 - Rotate the statue
SC 5 - Collect silver rupees + small key and skip to the boat
SC 18 - Jump off
SC 20 - Get the Boss Key with DF skip
SC 21 - Get to Bongo Bongo
BOSS - MS jumpslash + 8 crouching stabs

Of course, the big sequence break will need to be mastered, but thankfully it's not too far into the dungeon.

EDIT - Silver rupees is faster per discussion below.

No.  I don't feel like putting up with YouTubers (poor Yautja) and reading comments saying "when will you upload the next segment? hurry up im getting bored".  Besides, I want the segments to be seen in superior quality.  FileFront is also faster and if anything were to happen to the videos I saved, I can download them.

I think getting the key from the rotating blade room is faster.  There's too much back-tracking if you are getting the one from the Floor Master.  This is because you need to travel around the maze, kill him, get the key, then traverse through the maze again.

The jewells are definitley quicker to collect because you have to travel to the floormaster room then exit and head for the Boss key room. I reckon its 20 seconds quicker to get the jewells.

You seriously are an instigator aren't you?

Segment 6 if going to take me awhile to do.  There's so much crap to do in it.

- Annoying Saria cutscene
- Owl Text Skip (I'm assuming it works since it works on the Hyrule Castle Owl)
- Superslide (Hardest Part)
- Cucco Jump (Easy)

After I get to Gerudo Valley, where should I end the segment?

Should I:
a) Backwalk all the way to the end then backwalk into the entrance.
b) Backwalk to the stairs then backwalk up them into the main entrance.

The owl skip is exeptionally hard, I can't get partway through it, but the timing is very easy to muck up. I actually do it backwalk style and I'm not going to make a video of it, becuase I tried extensively to capture it but keeped messing up. Doing it on Mupen would be easy though.

When saving at Gerudo, head for the nearest possible entrance, and you'll savewarp to the end.

If you do save at Gerudo which is probally advisable, then I hope you do something really risky in the wasteland.

I know that but which is faster?

I'm going to try to do Haunted wasteland TAS-like (backwalking).

I have yet to even try the Owl Text skip, but if it is unconditionally harder (TAS only) then I may have to skip doing it.

Um, save in the Thieves' Hideout?

The second half of the Haunted Wasteland can be done with just 2-3 straight backwalks; see Guano's released TAS for the exact path.

What I meant was which entrance.  There's the stairs entrance or the further one which is where you warp to after you save+reset.
He's back!
You could also try do the cucco jump TAS style, its easy to get the jump and direction, its just getting the high jump and timing which is hard.

What I do to get it consistently is I land on it, press diagonal up+right, hold z, move back a bit then jump.  Works every try.
