Ok, I got my video of Shadow Early - New Way done.
http://www.youtube.com/?v=z_v9qQVh1mQ

The trick to doing this is to line up straight with the wall where you see me standing, then go into the first person and move a little to the right to ensure that your backflips make you move right instead of left, because the seam on the right side is lower.  To get the perfect timing I count up to 4 Mississippi then shield drop the Bombchu and backflip.

The good thing about this way is when you get ontop of the seam you will be able just run across (since the Endless Sword Glitch will still be active) and do the side-hop for the first part of skipping Din's Fire.  It also is faster and saves a bombchu.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!

Yeah well, if he's capping TAS he's already downloading roms so...
.
Lies! Everyone here owns the game and dumped their own ROMs! *coughs*

I'm just saying it takes too much effort to crack software when there's a free alternative that can perform to the same standards, and arguably even better.

Besides, FRAPs wasn't working on Acryte's computer, so I merely suggested an alternative...
Don't think!  feeeeeal
actually it's as easy as:

go to torrentz.com, search for fraps, select newest version with most uploaders, click to download torrent, run it with your favorite torrent program, wait about 5 minutes for DL, double click the exe, install fraps, finish
Zelda Scientist®
whatever, I tried getting a new one w/ crack... that is the one that crashes w/ pj64  :'(.
Thanks DK I'll check that out.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Here's the retail version of Fraps v2.7.3, I hope this helps out.

Something you should know about that Kid that blocks the entrance to Saria

If you can glitch him into the wall he disappears entireley. Can't see it being done though.
Speed is the key.

Yeah, I also noticed that long ago when I was glitching around there.
Zelda Rulez!
Yeah I know that too, actually he is falling to void when he walk trought of wall and this happen when you go over  the wall but I don't think so that can be done on N64 :-/

BTW - what is point to get out kokiri early because you can skip half of deku tree with that hover glitch Smiley

Off topic:
Today I did my testrun and time what I get is 5:02 and if I can remove all those mistakes what come from those sequance breaks, I think I can beat TSA old run time in Pal version Cheesy

Speaking of Leave Kokiri Early, is it possible to seam walk up the side of that house to the left of the guy blocking the exit of Kokiri Forest?

If so, it might be possible to jump from up there right into the exit.  Also it looks like where you levitated over the invisible wall that it's an acute angle.  Maybe with a perfectly timed jumpslash at an angle you will land on top of the log above the kokiri and glitch through the invisible wall.   Cheesy

These are highly undoubtful theories.

The point of getting out of Kokiri Forest is to be able to do the bottle adevnture on all versions of OoT.  It was you that pointed it out.  Tongue

That seems like a pretty good test run time, Kazooie.  Good luck with beating TSA's run!

You could get the bombs and skip mido, and the intial Deku Tree cutscene and do a much simplier ground jump.
How hard is that trick to skip 4 rooms anyway and how will you be able to activate the sword glitch. I need to use bombs to activate the glitch in that area and even when I do try it I just kill the skullula. Is the trick easily replicatcatable as well. Since the endless sword glitch has made leaving Kokiri early less appealing, I don't think there is anyway since I tried extensively using various methods and I'm just a doubtful of this coming off. You could try trick the game into thinking Link is something else e.g. a rock, since the kid only affects Link.

BTW has anyone been able to get past that room in Spirit (diamond bridge room) without a slingshot or bomerang. I tried it today with the endless sword glitch and I killed the giant flying skull monster in one hit.

thats about 4:19 on NTST. I fairly certain you can skip the longshot with superslide in the Ganon Trials, then there is the boss key skip in Fire Temple although I don't know if Radix would class that as clipping.

I'm not sure what the 2.5 temple skip saves but I estimate it as being around an hour, possibly more than that.

I have used that longshot skip. That Fire temple boss key skip, I think it's not allowed in my run anyway and I think it's boundary violetation anyway :-/

BTW - meaby  tomorrow I get my dvd recorder and I can do good quality videos Grin

How do you watch videos in mupen64? I'm trying to watch the OoT run, but I haven't found how to watch it anywhere in the help sections and readmes for mupen.

EDIT: Nevermind, I don't think I can play the vid anyway (wrong version of the rom).
tomorrow i make an Avi file of the run Smiley
i've just found this topic, is it a 100% run?

Fire Temple Boss Key skip?  Never heard of it.  Think you can tell me how to do it?

Since we're skipping getting the Silver Gauntlets now and have to use Bombchus in Dodongo's Cavern I'd thought I'd make a video of some Bombchu tricks in Dodongo's Cavern.

http://www.youtube.com/?v=f_vXl-bq-_8

These tricks save about 10-15 seconds (forgot how much seconds it takes for a bombchu to explode) and also saves you from losing lots of life.

This is a pure speed glitch run, the 100% run is in this thread ->

Yeah I remember something like that one time he just dissappeared, I used crooked cartridge to leave early one time. Then I went back in and after I went to the shop ( I think) then I went back and I remember not seeing him there anymore, I'm like where did he go?

Here's a few exerts I put on YouTube from the TAS run. Read the blog in the videos to avoid any confusion.

Ganon Tower Run

Ganodorf Battle

Ganon Tower escape

Ganon Battle

Edit:

Probally pointless to mention, but look what happens if you somehow mysteriously obtained the Silver Gauntlets.

LoL you got the most boring part :P.  I want to see Shadow Temple.  I love Shadow Temple and those hover boots. Cheesy

I think I remember seeing a video of that treasure chest beta room before.  Imagine if it was actually possible to get there on a console and without cheats. Roll Eyes

Edit: I just noticed something about the route we have so far...

Segment 10:
1. Dodongo's Cavern (get bomb bag)
2. Re-enter
3. Save/Quit

Segment 11:
1. Scale Death Mountain
2. Great Fairy of Magic
3. Owl Warp to Kakariko
4. Go to Hyrule Castle Town Market
5. Enter Hyrule Castle Grounds
6. Seam Walk + Bombchu Damage Boost to Garden
7. Meet Zelda and Learn Zelda's Lullaby
8. Go to Zora's River
9. Scale Zora's River
10. Enter Zora's Domain
11. Skip King Zora
12. Jump Slash into Jabu-Jabu
13. Save/quit

How exactly are we getting magic without Zelda's Lullaby?
