Also, does this bottle adventure fall into the same separate category as the trials skip or is this a separate separate category?
How are you going to skip the trials if you have no sword? And if there is some way to do that then how the hell are you going to attack ganondorf with light arrows on b?
No the Quail is not riding the Q

By using fluffy kitten as a weapon.

What the fuck!?  Huh?

LoL

Don't hurt me!

*Back on Topic*

To do get to Ganon while having Light Arrows on B, you need to do this:

To beat Ganondorf with Light Arrows on B, you need to use an empty jar to deflect the thnder bolt, hit him with a light arrow when he's stunned, equip your sword, then beat him in one go.  (crouch stabs and quick spins)

Well, there was no point in Spirit then, huh?

It would be normal Young Link, and then just the Bottle Adventure to get Light Arrows as Adult, which includes Forest Temple.

Well, we still need bombs/bombchus, so it still may be advantagous to go to child spirit.  Play up until you get the bombchus, and then tackle dodongos with your bombchus...

Now back to my old idea of completing forest as a Kid...

Still probably not worth it. Wink

Eh, screw this.

I'm sticking with what I got.  We worked really hard to get a lot of these tricks...we're crossing into the realm of this being just a rape run, which is in the same league as Screen Warp and Explorer Glitches.

My run will be classified as segmented, v1.1 or higher.  Somebody else can have the Light Arrow glitch run.  I'd rather people see more cool stuff, which is what the 1.1 or higher runs will have.
wise fwom yo gwave
Thats a good idea. light arrows on b is cool, but it is sort of taken away if only one rare-ish version can do it. If they figure out how to do it on 1.1 or something, then obviously it would be used. But there are so many other tricks that would be skipped by this that took a long time to figure out.

Yeah, I think that the child Quest doesn't change at all really except maybe timing the time saved from getting kakariko Bottle or heck... the super cucco game and skipping gold scale and zora still over the other bottle. We'd have to see which is faster. The difference is the adult section. So, you could probably do both runs off the same child section if you were on v1.0. You could do up till then, and then cover both categories. That would be sweet. Otherwise... let me forewarn anyone who is thinking about ganon early the hard way... Man... it is hard... when I have a savestate that works and is after setting up the bomb boosted hover a;ready and then nust unpause and execute the trick. I have 1 word of advise however... Time it so you unleash the bombchu when you are slightly later into the backflip (like spread horizontal) and you have a higher consistency. Separate category is a good idea though. Lol... we have alot of those categories now though.

[Min/Any/100(3)] x [Clipping/No Clipping(2)] x [Bottle Adventure/No Bottle Adventure(2)]
12 different run categories being possible.

You forgot an all temples run category, which makes it 24 categories ;).  Then factor in PAL, NTSC, and if you are feeling special, SECAM, which makes a grand total of 48-72 categories  Grin
Now all we need is for the great Kazooie to find another Swordless Link method. Easier said than done, of course.
It seems that the first swordless link glitch came from having an item on B, and then glitching out the location that contains the item on B...

Now, only if that could be done in other minigames?  Just a suggestion.  Maybe bombchu bowling, you blast yourself out of the game shop?
Zelda Rulez!
I think there is one way meaby many but anyone doen's have discovered those yet Wink

Here is possible way:
http://www.jaytheham.com/zc/oot.php?page=ootcc05
but you need find way out of forest early without CC and I think this take too long :-/

I think those minigames are very good place to get swordless link in another way Smiley

well, I have found out how to use that hover trick almost anywhere (even on flat ground).

Epona Early - Staircase Method (Easy)

Swordless link attemps - I tried using the rocks to be on the edge and then cast the line and pivot my feet w/ a fish to try and fall off. Negative. I couldn't do it. I also tried hoverdiving near the door and tried hoverdiving to a boosted hover w/ a cast attempt but it still didn't let me...   Cry plus when you are doing that you still can't access bombs or anything (which would rule) and you still get stopped by the door message. I also tried getting in a crack in the left of the door but unsuccessfully and also messed around w/ taking his hat and/or using the sinking lure dialogue to try and trigger strange behaviors or to interrupt crap... No sword glitch can't be carried from outside the pond into the pond... nor can we use sword in there (or any other item either...). Also, so you know... during any of these things... if you use levitation once, you can get out of them... I've tried adult in the Kakariko and left w/ bow but it reverts back to freaking master sword. Works for shooting gallery, fishing, etc. If you are stationary and locked, just find a way to rise up... Lol too bad we can't bring a cuckoo w/ us. When you kill those it raises link up in the air. Anyone know of any other "lifting" methods there are besides groundjumps?

I'm guessing using the staircase method for bombhover we can do it in the room before King Dodongo in order to get up to the block quick. I'll go check that out.

So far it can be done w/ 4. It's faster than the other method...
Dodongo's Cavern - Block Room (Staircase Method)
Good thing we got this before TSA starts his segment.

Phallosvogel - Yes it is necessary. You need to have no sword w/ adult link and get the bottle on B too. Then you become a kid, and then when you go back the B button grabs the wrong bit address from memory which is manipulated by us through our knowledge of the different things we can put on C-right. Basically, it means that it is required... However, if we can come up w/ a nabooru dialogue skip and get past her, chances are it would work w/ shiek too and we could go to forest for bow like normal but we won't need to finish it.

Kazooie - That is true, if you do it on that fence you only need 2 bombs and it looks like less of a violation.
Vid: Epona Early - Easy (Faster)

technically a potential kid forest got shorter to do, thoug it is still probably too slow... but it does skip minuet.

uhmm... wait a sec: is adult then child then adult again really necessary or can we do bottle adventure if we just travel through time from kid to adult (I mean doing all this bottle and deku-stick stuff as a kid)?
If yes, we would save forest temple Smiley

Acryte - how you can get all those tricks work what I have tried some time ago Smiley
I have tied that epona early too but I not have get top of that gate and it is faster to do that method to get over that gate what leads to load than do that your video stuff?
good job anyway Wink

Thanks!  Cheesy
He's back!
Back now, but I have a lot of catching up to do. As I understand it the holy grail glitches have been found. The bomb trick does look very hard and I'm not sure if its doable in an SS run. BTW even if you could beat Forest Child the game would crash after the Deku Sprout scene where he tells Link about his mother, thats the annoying thing about beat Forest as an Adult is that bloomin long Forest medakion cutscene. I haven't watched Guano's run but I belive he is at Ganon's tower. If Ganon early + BA is being done then it would be advisable to get the bombchu's from the Spirit chamber and after all you get 20 of them, this would make beating enemies in the tower much smoother, had anyone checked if the Light arros on B require a magic meter since skipping the lullaby would be possible (whie saving a shitload of time).

anyone doesn't have tested that yet and I think I gonna test it soon Smiley

I'm pretty sure you need magic for light arrows on B, because in the video that Acryte made.  When he shoots the light arrow, it still depletes magic from his magic meter.  So I think you would need a magic meter.

I think that too.
That is weird you son't need magic in majora's mask if you skip magic meter and oot you need it Huh?

Well , since he has the magic bar maybe it still has to do what is suppose to do so it goes down a bit. But if he didn't have the magic bar maybe it will still work anyways because I think the green button can't be greyed out or whatever but I'm not sure.

Yeah I'd test it out but I'm lazy right now.

Hoever... when you run out of magic in that meter it just fires the standard arrows... well... if it is possible and we skip zelda's lullaby that would be ridiculous. Then again... has anything really held us back? ToT and ... shiek at the mastersword till after forest. That's it.

Well, using cheats, if you use the Light Arrows on a C-button, it just does the normal arrow if yo don't have the magic meter. But if it is on B who knows... Though I'm doubtful. I'd test it but I leave for work in 5 mins, and I'm not gonna get back till 10:30

AKA - true true, we'd need to restock bombchu to get through the iron knuckles. How many do we need again? If we damage both w/ the same bombchu every time? And Light Arrows only damage once  their shields are off right? Thirdly, we may need a magic potion...
