Anyway, like I've said before, it would be nice to see some timing information for these segments. How long the current segment takes, what people agree is optimal ect. just a minor thing.
i think most people just look at the runs and say "well, that looks good, and no major mistakes, so it must be optimal."
I'm just waiting for more updates. I can't wait to see how long this run actually takes, I mean how impressive would it be to go back to 1998, when it came out, and say "i beat ocarina of time in under 3 hours." I would probably laugh right there in your face and tell you that even a computer couldn't do that.

Most people would still laugh in your face if they are unaware of all the developments. It makes me smile, knowing I will meet some of these people in the future and being able to prove them wrong right in their face. It's part of why I am still very dedicated learning how to speedrun this game.
Light arrows on B is fully functional. I have a video uploading
No Nayrus Love, No lonlon, that crap takes too long. Description contains instructions. That took me forever and a half... But, I ended up sticking it out till the end just for the sake of not letting the game beat me. enjoy.
This is version specific and is thusly TAS only until someone comes up with a pre-gannon swordless link glitch.
I want to see a sub 2 hr TAS if it's possible...
You MUST use Ganon Early to get to Ganon's Tower. The cutscene will not play w/out those 2 medallions.
Kill ganondorf like so (No megaton): 1. Reflect Light Ball with Empty Bottle swipe 2. Fire Light Arrow 3. Pause and equip sword (hehehe) 4. Beat him in 1 cycle
Kazooie - Yes, because normal does half forest + spirit + shadow. Light arrow B does half shadow + all of forest but skips adult spirit entirely. That means we have half of a temple less, and also have 1 less ending cutscene as well. So it is alot faster... especially since in forest we have tricks to get to pretty much any room we want to. Not sure, I noticed it was the bombchu one too and tried it but I just got deku stick on B. I thnk it goes off the bombchu amount... aka, if I have 0 which I did... that = deku stick. So nothing special I guess.

Did my PM inspire you or something? If so, I should become a teacher!
Wow, that's pretty crazy. Good for the TAS crowd, and probably good for the SDA crowd! Great work!
So you can get into the Fisherman's pond as adult before beating Water temple. It's too hight to get up there and I had no bombs or anything of the sort (part of my frustration). Just ride that plant and jump off.
I can make swordless Link happen before Ganon easily...the Fishing Pond trick on v 1.0.
So...should I um...consider using this?
Acryte says this in his Youtube comments.
Since Radix doesn't take runs that differ because of version differences, I don't think you can use this. We have to find how to get Link swordless fast on all versions...
No, no, no. Fishing pond is v1.0 that is why you can't use it. And you can't ude deku as adult. And you use a bomb to do ganon's tower. Oh. Cool. thanks DK.
Basically though... even if we did find out another way... we still would have to get megaton OR just do ganon early THE HARD WAY since you have no sword which means no sword glitch. Which = insane difficulty.
Don't know really but I think it's because there is PAL and then NTSC releases and then after both of those, they have the "game of the year" release w/ dumbed down and restricted gameplay, but... it was the only version aside from the others that was like this and there were runs out already and it was like... man that version sucks.... basically, they disown that version. OoT could be compared sxcept for we can do everything the others can do except for that 1 trick. There isn't a substantial difference in lameness to consider running on a v.1.1 and v1.2 to be utter wastes of time. I don't reall mind though, it just encourages us to think of a way to do this within the bounds of the rules. Plus, how many non TASers want to do a ganon early the hard way?
Most of those version-specific glitches were between PAL and NTSC, runs that would go in different categories anyway due to other version differences. Further, the Player's Choice version was released long after many runs were made.
Lastly, v1.0 is not easy to come by in OoT, whereas v1.0 NTSC Metroid Prime are very easy to come by.
Ganon's Castle w/out Rainbow Bridge is hard, but if it's a segmented run it's really not that bad, considering the short distance from the Temple of Time.
