EDIT: I just checked your 4:57 and it was night when you entered the Spirit Temple, then daytime after you learned the Requiem. So, it seems that it's always noon when you learn it. From Kokiri Forest to the castle... I think that's doable. What time is it normally when you go directly from Kokiri Forest?

If you need more time then do dodongo's cavern first and then use the superslides to get to the castle faster.

Man, I hope you appreciate this because it was utterly taxing... I ended up getting it on the final attempt before I was gonna say screw it and go to sleep. Mainly I was trying it for hours with suboptimal methods (no slingshot) which can be done but its alot harder... then I tried for even longer trying to time all of it in my head and failed utterly, then I said screw it and used slingshot but still failed to time the ending ones properly... so then I got that time down beforehand and finally got it. Bleh, I'm going to sleep now :-/

Could someone provide detailed instructions for how to do the Backflip/Bomb flying trick? I understand the slingshot/bombchu one, but I haven't been able to do this one. Thanks.

Your shield has to be hit with the blast from the bomb before you fall to the ground.

Err, i dunno if this has been brought up before, but....with this hovering trick, wouldn't it be just faster to get into shadow temple through the fence in front of the sun's song tomb instead of using the seam? It just seems faster to me, especially since you need over a minute for the seam, and with this trick, what, 20-30 seconds? There's the din's fire skip rpoblem, but i think it should be doable and still save time.

Would the seam be easier/faster with the sword glitch on? Thats something to think about too. And it would save bombs.

the seam is easy lol but yea the reason was given in that you also want to skip din's fire right? ok. You can throuw a sword glitch on when you are up there and then just run through the seam, it's easy.

But if IIRC, you can get into the shadow temple as a kid, can we beat it as a kid?

Whenever we need hover boots, we can do the bomb glitch, right? Unless we need the hookshot for something...

You can't cross the gap...or can you...without crooked cart. That is, the gap at the start of Shadow?

So...wait...can I just go do Forest as a Kid now?

Just noticing...we're using a shit load of bombs...on these tricks...Dodongo's Cavern...Jabu-Jabu...Entering Shadow...getting to Mirror Shield...

I know if we get bomb bag, we can get drops...but just trying to figure out how many bombs we truly will need.

Right, Kazooie had some videos showing him crossing the gap with crooked cart.

However, we can hover with bombs now, so all we need is something to trigger the sword glitch, and somewhere to get bombs (if we run out).

Oh yeah, enemies can also trigger this hover glitch too? So all we need are a few persistent bats...

That's not how the glitch works... and there are no bats in that whole area of the temple...

The discussion is about entering it as a child, so, no hookshot. I seem to remember a discussion about using bomb and/or bombchu boosts in that area, however.

It should. Right? I'm asking you.

So, in theory, we should be able to beat the Shadow temple as a kid now?

Would it be advantageous for us to do that? It would most definitely require bombs from Dodongo's Cavern.

Even if it doesn't save time, (and it doesn't waste any time), it would be very cool if we could do this.

Bongo Bongo would take longer to kill, and we wouldn't be able to use the hover boots. So it would probably take longer....

I don't see the point of doing shadow as a kid, though. To be forced to use time-craving and bomb wasting tricks to get over pits that you could just run over with the hover boots seems pointless to me. Unless there's something I missed.

IIRC, it's now the first adult temple that can be completed as a kid. And who knows, it may lead to more glitches (using hover boots early)
