Zelda Rulez!

LoL the text skip is useless, but unique.  I'm with you on that Mini-Boss skip in Jabu-Jabu I don't think it's risky or hard at all, only hard part about it is throwing Princess Ruto over.  Tongue

It's easy and if you want you can use that bottle switch trick to active that switch and you only need to do bombchu boost to get there Smiley
Ruto is harder to throwh there than do bombchu boost

i need to time it, but i'm starting to become convinced that the ground jump makes it worthwhile to get bombs.

it reduces the time it takes to get the bombs in the first place by at least 20-30 seconds. (you can press switch right away)

you can skip pushing the block hidden in the wall in shadow temple.  (you simply pull it out one pull then ground jump to grab it.) [edit: nm on this, forgot about damage boosting through razor]

in forest temple you can ground jump in the block pushing area.  and use hover boots to roll and grab the ledges.  this saves at least 30 seconds, probably more.

those are the major skips i've found.  there're probably more.

oh, this would also negate ever having to get bombchus from the well i believe.

He's back!
Getting bombs for ground jump isn't worthwhile (segmented runs of course)

I think hover boosts and mega jump can still be done with bombchu's but are much harder.

I tried that bombchu boost in Jabu on emu for about an hour and still couldn't pull it off. Although many of them were a fraction away. I tried the bomb+bombchu tactic and I found that harder.

I can't see many more tricks coming out for an SS run. There is still a lot of stuff to be found for a 100% run.

Edit: The bottle trick switch isn't as straightforward as it looks.

Edit_2: Can someone put Shadow without Din's in some sort downloadable format as Radix says he can't view it. I don't have a copy of it on my computer.
Could someone please post a short guide (or possibly a video) of beating bongo-bongo without arrows? I'm having some trouble here...

Wouldn't the Longshot work instead of arrows? Or are you talking about child link? If that's the case, maybe the slingshot???
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!

use the hookshot to take down both hands.  then, begin to charge your magic spin [to red].  bongo bongo will fly at you and you have to time the spin release so that it hits him.
I havent had any luck with the hands so far...the best strategy I have come up with is to stand on the opposite end of the drum as him and wait until one of the hands does something, then z-target the hand and wait until the last second to release the hookshot. Is this what everyone else is doing? I haven't yet hit one of the hands.

Edit: also, can you hit his eye with the hookshot or is a charge spin a better choice?
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.

Equip Hover Boots and hang around the edge of the drum. When he attacks, roll off and see if he uses his attack where he hits you from above. If he does, hit him with your hookshot and then hit the other hand with the hookshot. Then, load up your hookshot and wait for him to charge. Hit him, then take out your Broken Giant's Knife and slash him. Rinse, lather, repeat.

Pasted from something else, so don't mind the Broken Giant's Knife thing...

I guess that you have to use your hookshot before the hand hits you.  If your problem is knocking him out, you have to use a spin attack just before his fists reach you.
Kazooie's video of what I mean:

i find it much easier to not use z-targetting to hit the hands
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.

lol I've jumped in the river and still talked to him. Kaepora is persistent.

Maybe we should use the cucco... I'm gonna be busy for the next week or so, so I can't test it.
He's back!
I've tested it and cucco does bybass owl at the bottom of the river, but it takes a little practice to find the right bit to jump  Grin

Picking up that chicken takes long, use this instead:
Very good done AKA , you will record Link as adult ?
Sweet, I owned bongo-bongo with the hookshot. I couldn't get the oh so pretty 5 second quickspin victory though; it took me three attacking rounds. I thought I had him locked in the quickspins but he got up after 3 or 4...

Seriously.  I didn't know about magic beans beforehand when I visited Dodongos (when I first played the game).

I ended up backflipping after taking the bombflower out.  I get hurt, but who cares.

No jump slash needed.  Grin
I think the first time I did that I didn't even use a roll jump. I can't remember though; that was 8 years ago  8)
Food goes in here
I did the backflip near the bombflower the 1st time i played the damn game Tongue
wow, your all soooooo godly  Roll Eyes
