I'm not doing a speedrun or anything, just a file for fun -- I saved in the bottom of the well. damn chickens almost killed me the first time (didn't do enough damage as I was falling). Brought me down to one heart as I ran away. Scared the hell out of me hahaha.

There's a way to hit the switch. I think someone mentioned it but I'm not too sure how to do it.

Lol if you escape kokiri forest and come back some other time(Not sure exactly what causes this) then the rock humper near mido's house will still be "humping" but he will do it in your direction 0_o.

Ok you can't get chus from the well because a stick will kill it so you'll have to get nuts. I'm fairly sure deku cucco jump won't work because you have to pull it out then slash, unlike sword that just slashes, but I am doing it on console so it might be that I'm not slashing quick enough. Someone should try it with TAS.

KirbySSB, if you want to get nuts/more sticks without having to do leave the forst again, get zeldas lullaby and letter, gather cuccos for the bottle and get bugs from the graveyard so you can do ocarina items. Now go to goron city and use ocarina items to open the door to darunia and use flaming deku sticks to light the bombs in front of the rocks to the kokiri forest warp(You might see the rock humper try to hump you 0_o)

EDIT: Even with nuts, you can't get the chus because you can't jumpslash to the chest with sticks fast enough. You can still get sarias song though.

Hey good luck with the new run yautja. I never thought you'd wanna re-try it after the hell you already went trhough, but it makes sense that you'd want to improve it.

kirby, if that ever becomes an adapted rupee route, dont forget that you can sidehop from the balcony and get to the spot on the side where you can run across the bridges and grab the blue rupee on the way to the house with the chests in it.

I'm stuck at dodongos cavern. No chus = no early bombs and no slingshot = can't go the normal way. Any ideas? I don't want to get the slingshot Sad

IIRC, if you get a Fairy and get your health really low, you can jump in the flames and it'll revive you on the platform with the flames and let you pass. Of course, you'd need more than one Fairy...

EDIT: Does a Fairy that comes from a duplicated bottle revive you? If so, you can do bottle duplication on the Fairies in the Fairy Fountain in the Sacred Forest Meadow, and that'll take care of that problem (if the two things I thought of work).

you could get gold scale and the ruto bottle... you could get the chicken bottle or the OTHER chicken bottle... I think 3 fairies are enough.

No they don't but lon lon ranch and lake hylia bottles should do it.

The fairy death thing worked Cheesy

although it was hell to pull of. You can't run through the fire so you have to quickly run around the edge when you get revived. And the one after the lizalfos you need very well positioned sidehop jumpslash to skip the first fire and kill youself on the 2nd one. I think it can be done without fairies, but it would need consecutive well positioned jumpslashes and would be very hard. Good luck for anyone who does it.

Someone should do a deku tree speedrun with dins fire and bombs. Get to the basement in under a minute! And am I the only one who thinks its weird that the game actually does check for all 3 stones :o?

After I found my ganon timesaver, I did a lot of work with supersliding to cutscenes. I found that supersliding to an ocarina song cutscene(Not tested with zeldas lullaby but I assume its the same) and release R when you start to play the song, link will be slightly misplaced. Supersliding to bolero will put link in shiek, minuet will put link closer to sarias log and shiek is nowhere to be seen. Other cutscenes will cause a semi freeze where no buttons work, not even start. some of those are supersliding to the deku tree cutscene(just tested today with leave forest early), superslide to ruto cutscene, rainbow bridge and a few more. I think it does this hen link is supposed to preform a movement but fails(not run to ruto/deku tree, not leaning toward rainbow bridge etc.). Other times, its just something random like keeping the master sword. I also superslid to the door to ghoma and when it ended, I did a forward superslide. It was pretty cool.

What if you used BA with Zora Mask on C-right, with no Kokiri Sword? That means new BA possibilities, right? I don't know what items to put on B and C-right as an adult, though.

you do know that if you understand BA you can just calculate every single possible combination using zora and goron mask right? Even every on that isnt possible (without gameshark).

also, you didn't even have a bottle on B!

when you become a child it automatically equips the kokiri sword. This is not the case when going forwards in time. This means that BA can never work when going back in time, only when going forwards in time.

Also the code it runs is:

use hex and covert it to binary. then reverse it and read from left to right along the slots.

I've just done the less interesting leaving forest run (up to travelling forwards through time), i.e. with the sword and slingshot, but without emerald and ocarina. Pretty much everything is the same as usual. The only interesting things I noticed were:

- Link plays Saria's Song and Zelda's Lullaby with the Ocarina of Time when learning them for the first time (although I'm sure many of you already saw this). No, you don't get the OoT after the cutscenes. Tongue

- Saria can be found in front of your house and in the Sacred Forest Meadow at the same time.
- After completing DC and JJB, you are told that you have three medallions and should go and see Zelda. However, as ZFG already mentioned, the Zelda/Gannon cutscene isn't triggered until you complete the Deku Tree.
- IIRC, even after doing DC and JJB, Spirit Temple and Well Early, Navi still tells you "C'mon, be brave, let's go to the Great Deku Tree!" Tongue

This of course will only be useful in a non-BA speedrun if the time reduction for the Deku Tree with Din's Fire is enough to offset the time taken to perform the Forest exit and get Din's Fire (which I doubt). It also goes without saying that getting the slingshot first, like I did, is too much of a waste of time and not necessary.

Well, i am learning some things during my research. Here is one...

Check this out...
Get bottle B
then put Cojiro on C-right.
Catch a bug in your Bottle B.

You can remove the bottle from B now if you want. The rest doesn't matter since it doesn't have to do with BA.

Go grab the bow from Forest Temple.

it will come bundled with a 20 arrow quiver @_@
