yup. I believe guanobowl discovered this a while ago. The video's name was "vanish". Of course we didn't find a place to use it effectively.

Oh, AKA do you mean using 2 bombs and the 1st one doesn't blow up the second? Sound's like a good idea.

But yea, it only changes the X coordinate to warp link to the grabbable object, so if the Y has changed then you can be theoretically above or below ground. Also, if you slide so far that the object becomes unloaded, then you will not warp to grab it.
Everybody loves Hypnotoad!
So, what happens if you warp above an object with the sword glitch activated?

Link gets teleported to a secret room with the triforce above the object and tries to grab air and phails and is now standing above the object.

Bomb Bag Skip

Bombchu count means it may not be very useful. That means we'd have to:
A) refill from BotW (is only faster if refill is faster than bombbag ... which is doubtful)
B) BA gets more

or if we can skip all later bombchu and save time (doubtful in jabu) and zora skip screws this over. Basicallt we have to get refill and if we save 1 chu then it's possible but only if it's possible to megaflip into Dodongo's Cavern... which idk.

after jabu we get free bombs however.

Basically I don't think that it's useful yet.

well, at least it's one more thing we know is possible.

I'll make another vid soon concerning "Floor Razor Power" and it's affects on neighboring objects as well as to themselves. I will also try to figure out the nature of this phenomenon.
If you could beat Dodongo without the Bomb Bag and keep 1 Bombchu then there's no need for more Bombchu. Just Bombchu Megaflip in Jabu-Jabu with the Ruto skip.

However, saving 1 Bombchu is the key part.
The only way to save a Bombchu is to go to Death Mountain Trail through the gate in Kakariko instead of going via Lost Woods. I don't know how much time would be saved doing this though.

Either way it's a sweet trick.  Grin

ZFG is right, and here's a video:

The same thing happened when I did Acryte's trick in Dodongo's Cavern, only I was hovering in the void and when I tried to bombchu hover the game froze.
zzzzzzzzzz
The bomb bag skip could be useful for a low % run.
If this can fit into a non-BA low% run we will have to find a way to do the Hylian Shield skip without bombs; along with other tricks.
Catchin' them all

Let the bombchu go through the room and have it explode at the right time?

Yeah, I was messing with that last night and it should be possible. The blast did hit me at one point.

edit: Btw, here is a DC trick by Runnerguy. Smiley

I'm not sure why no one has noticed this yet(exept acryte probably)

Shield dropping a bombchu in a void will freeze the game on N64!
Speed is the key.

Just ask Acryte, he has more than noticed. Wink

Most other people seem to have not noticed though ;).

hahaha. Yup. Bombs are fine however... The same goes for mupen. Pj64 however doesn't freeze... ? So I guess Mupen is a more accurate emulator when it comes to voids. Makes sense since you can actually draw the deku stick as adult on pj64 without it freezing. It seems like pj64 decides to avoid those freezes.

I noticed this when doing bombhovers over the void to get to the forest temple boss room. That is why I had to make an alternative method to do it, because the bombchus froze the game. So I just swapped that for better positioning and a bomb boosted hover superslide to the boss load.

I noticed the same thing when on Mupen when trying Ganon Early. It is harder to do there because you can freeze the game when shielddropping the bombchu if you are too far to the left (but you want to be as far to the left as possible :p) so it makes it harder.

I just had an idea for the dodongos cavern sequence break.  If we activate ISG off of the beamos and bombchu it, we might be able to use the resulting explosions to start the hover closer to the head and get to it with 7 or less chus.

I've tried that out a while ago but with no sucess. I'll work with it a bit more and see if I can make it to the top.

I also tried some attempts at that after Mp16's video. You can get a megaflip off the beamos beams...as well as hover but I couldn't get two in a row to actually stay off the ground. It doesn't shoot them fast enough I don't think.

My idea was that he would keep shooting them at you and you could keep climbing that way, saving your bombchus until you got a little higher.

I almost did it :D!  If you use the lazer to start the hover very close to the beamos, then quickly backflip and shield drop a chu.  Because You're so close to the beamos, it will keep you back without needing to waste time with the slingshot.  I did it with a crappy angle and only 6 chus so I really think its possible!

cool, you should try emu testing it.

I did a glitch to attach a bomb to link's body or head. I also managed to try to glitch it so i can still control link... I did it 1 time and I'm trying to replicate it.. haha. Maybe ill make vids. Bleh when i regain camera it is not attached when you can still move, it's a camera glitch. When you can't move it is attached though. If you levitate you will notice it's still attached. Also if you pull out your ocarina (before you drop through a hole) and then you play song/ put it away and you immediately fall through, then the camera goes below the ground and you can see under the ground (void) while you drop into the hole instead of the normal fade to black.

Also, like groundjump (grab A), Down A, etc. You can get Dive A (aka numbers). When this is up things are different too, but so far the only thing I notice is that you can grab blocks, gravestones, etc. but you can't grab bombs... Huh?

Damn.  I finally got a good angle and a good start to the hover but didn't get to the head.  I ended up directly under it.  Its weird, I seemed to do better with a bad angle and 6 chus that a good angle and 7 chus :-/.  I'm 85% sure this will work, it just needs more testing.

Ok I've been trying forever and can't seem to do it, but I still have 1 theory left.  Use the beam to start, then quickly pull out a bombchu, shield drop it and backflip for a hieght hover.  You must not blow up the beamos now!  Now do another hieght hover and the beamos will explode.  Now you have to make sure the head goes behind you, but a little to the right or left so when you backflip that you won't go too far back.  Backflip and get on the heads explosion.  This would need some good timing though to make sure you won't go too far back.  Now use the last 5 chus to hover up and it might get you to the head.  I haven't been able to pull it off yet because of the damn head >:(.  If anyone can do this, please post here if you got it or not.  I did this without the head and was veeery close.  You may also want to consider trying to get a fire keese over to assist in the hover.  It will burn your shield but might get you up, and I'm pretty sure another shield is somewhere not too far out of the way :-/

That is awesome XD

Video would be great too. Great job!
Could this save even more time in child route?
It's still one step closer to the that where we use RBA as a child to get spiritual stones Roll Eyes
Zelda Scientist®
cool good stuff.

Also if you can possibly put Odd Potion on C-right somehow as a child and you use BA with a bug, when the game gives you all 3 stones and the Song of Time, you can use the fairy ocarina (Or even ocarina item's I'm sure) to play the song. It doesn't matter. Also the door actually opens, it doesn't clump the stones at the altar like the gameshark and EMU does. So good times with that I guess. If we managed to do that then I guess we could skip shield and then do this asap and then skip a bunch of crap and go straight to adult...
