For those of you with the PC/WiiU versions, what is the top in game time on the leaderboards currently?  I just finished got a 38:56 on PS3 which is currently the top time, with an RTA of 43:26.  Thinking of possibly picking up the PC version for the better load times and because I don't have streaming equipment for PC.

Moon skip is super consistent now, and I can confirm you don't need to spawn the green wall first for it to work as I initially thought.  The run can definitely be improved, as I had an incredibly stupid death on Vesuvius and I got the Gyro bonus stage twice as I wasn't paying attention to my cash.

When I last checked, I had the best game time for WiiU at 41:28, RTA 45:43. This was without the Moon or Mines skips, so I've gotta practice those and try and improve.
CapnDrake just got a 35:06 game time on the PC version with the skips.
Yeah, sub-35 should definitely be possible though, I got awful luck on the plane ride.
For Fun! For GLORY!!
Yeah my PB had bad plane luck, but got 3 dragons on Dracula, so I could get at least a sub 40 for console soon. Tongue
I'm not quite sure I understand the second half of the Mines skip.  How does that work?
Basically, when you climb back up, the collision of the blocks prevents you from advancing up the chain. From there, you're too low for the game to trigger the loading zone. Apparently the corridor you fall into is directly below. From there, you jump back up the section and trigger the boulder event, which drags the camera to you.

Managed to do the moon skip quickly by mistake so currently practicing that, also i seem to have a somewhat good idea of the skip in the mines so i hope to be able to do it pretty quick, will try and use the positioning in the image bangerra linked.
So for the Mines skip when you climb back up, do you have to act like you're jumping over gaps and whatnot?  Or is it just 'walk = skip?'

Also, a word to the wise.  Capcom is currently preparing a patch for all versions of the game (at least ones out right now, dunno how the 360 version will be affected once its' released).  Keeping these glitches low key might be a good idea for the time being so they don't patch that stuff out.

I just walked right and jumped/pogoed, shouldn't be any problem to do once you get down there.
WayForward likes speedruns, so it's unlikely they'll fix it. They're more worried about all the crashes right now anyway.
Visually Appealing
Wow these glitches are awesome. Good shit guys.

I see.  That's good then.

The surprising glitch is that Moon glitch.  It seems all too simple.
For Fun! For GLORY!!
I got the Moon glitch second try. The Mine one I have yet to get down. I can despawn some, but not the right rocks. :\

It is quite tricky to get right, the moon glitch is really easy to do, can get it quickly on the go aswell with some practice.
I see the moon glitch turned out to be easier to pull off than I thought when I first posted about it.  Excellent.  Looks like I won't drop the game then because any of that 1-frame garbage is a no-no to me with speedrunning haha

I guess I'll need to go over the mine skip too.  I'm now waiting for the wrong warp to the escape haha
For Fun! For GLORY!!
Yup. This whole skip I think takes Extreme away from being super fastest difficulty, but the time can still be partially saved on bosses.

I think Magica damage boosting takes away Normal, Hard and Extreme since it's not feasible to do there.
For Fun! For GLORY!!
Explain that Magica damage boost again, I don't quite get it.

But I just had a good run end by a softlock. I think I skipped the Yeti too fast and it didn't go to the Stage Clear screen. Just froze on black with the boss music playing. So just a heads up. :|

I may be wrong, but Magica takes 9 hits to take down instead of the normal 12.  But the 9 hits must be done when she's not in her Vulture form.  She turns back to normal when you get hit by or hit her during this form.  So to damage boost Magica, you just jump into her.  That's my understanding of it.

EDIT:  Doing the Mine Trick makes me think you might have to despawn the rocks in order.  The risk of making them despawn seems unviable for marathons as well since it's a big potential time-waster unless it can be done consistently.
For Fun! For GLORY!!
I will try this during my next run. I had to end it after missing the Moon skip several times. Need more practice. :|

For the Moon trick, you're looking for a spot 1/4 to 1/3 of the way over from the right.

EDIT:
I'd say closer to 1/3 and perhaps walking over it would help a tiny bit.

EDIT 2:
I can get the Moon Skip consistently by going over and hitting the the Gate, then going back over to the left and then through the gate
For Fun! For GLORY!!
Thanks for that tip Broly. Got it first try! :3

My new RTA is 42:10. For some reason it didn't register my game time. :\
I had bad plane luck and meh Drac Duck luck, so I know I can get it down to sub 41 or even sub 40. Tongue

Speaking of TAS, has anyone tested if this game is TASable in win32-hourglass yet?
