I got this freaking wonderful Mine Glitch on one attempt. I were down at 15s ahead after Himalayas (2nd level) but lost some towards Vesuvius (still had 6s ahead at Dracula). Unfortunately the run was ruined by two bat patterns.

Even without this kind of a Mine Glitch, I know sub 31 IGT is possible.
@rTiimber: How has the running been going? I haven't been running DuckTales recently and have opted to add some variety such as Donkey Kong land 3. That is an amazing mine glitch. I think I have had a few similar to that, but unfortunately can rarely replicate those. On another note, I'll still run ducktales every now on then, but not as extensive so I won't suffer from burn-out. Are there any other games you speedrun good? When do you stream your runs? I might consider watching you once.
@Guru: Yeah, I've been running quite a bit. Last two days have meant loads of resets at either Mine Glitch or bad Beagle Boy luck. I will continue running this category at least until I get 31:05, but I aim towards sub 31 (IGT).

I almost burned out just before Cinematic Skip was introduced, which was one part of my rage at that moment. I finally almost perfected the Easy category, but it was invalidated over one night after enormous struggle. But now, I've rested a while, and will probably have a couple of more months before feeling burned out again.

This game is the first I've speedrun, and I will continue with it exclusively for a while more. I hope to pick up other categories, but we don't really have outspoken categories that fits SDA. For example, might deathless + glitchless be one category? If so, running it on extreme will take away glitching and add more precise gameplay instead, and deathless will demand more avoiding of getting hit as well.

After I finish this game, I might try to go for 3DS-games, iOS-games or just indie-games (all platform games) in general. For example, I'm interested in games like Mighty Switch Force, Gunman Clive, Mikey Shorts, etc. For the 3DS I will of course need a capture device if I aim to get runs on SDA, though - which might halt that one.

I streamed a lot earlier, but I think I got three people watching (who wasn't me), and since I don't really like racing, I can't really get my stream up on Speedrunslive yet, so I generally just record, and don't stream. Streaming takes some setup and also requires me to check the stream every now and then (which is in a different room than where I'm at) - and I need to focus on playing.
@rTiimber: I have played through Mighty Switch Force 1 & 2 and Gunman Clive. Those are pretty good games. I think adding glitchless + deathless would be an excellent category. I would like to know what the World record is sans glitches. I think running the all percentage would be too tedious for me because it takes forever to collect everything and much longer to finish a run.
Guru is on that Mighty Switch Force life too?  Awesome!  Are you doing SS stuff, or are you focusing on IL?
@TonyOgbot: I have beat Mighty Switch Force 1 and 2, but did not speed run them. What do you mean by Mighty Switch Force life?

@Everyone: Does anybody know if it is possible to record a run from a gameboy color or gameboy advance SP? What would I need?

@rTiimber: I've had a few tries recently, but to no avail. I would've beaten my PB by one second if I had gotten a one bat pattern. I had a pretty good run going, but lost time on the moon, the rat, Magica( slow to get her on some of the mirror parts and where she spawned), and at the end of Vesuvius. I also had a few other deep runs ruined by Amazon Boss, Glomgold's plain, mine glitch, etc. I know it is possible for me to beat your time, but it would take a heck of a good run to do it. It would need one bat pattern, two or less beagles, great mine glitch and near flawless run. And you said "it wasn't too good of a run" for your PB. Well, I beg to differ. How have you been doing recently?
For Fun! For GLORY!!
GameBoy Player for GBC and GBA games. They both play the same.
If you don't have a GameCube, then just google or search amazon is my best advice.

@Radman: I have both a gameboy color and a Gameboy Advance SP. What I was asking was what device would I need to buy to record good quality on runs on those systems to upload online. By the way, any luck on running tales recently?

Nope. Got some N64 goodness with Mario Party recently, and it's keeping my attention. Once I'm done with decompression for my pain, I'll do some. Smiley
