My best time on the frog fight + advent palace stairs was like 5 min. (i dont have my exact time for now, I will send it to you in a few days, when I will be back in Paris)
So, if you find a safe way to skip this, we could break the 90 minutes on MGS4.
I already posted a video of the OoB Thrillness found on my Youtube channel. It turns out it's not helpful as a wall ends up stopping us Here is the oob if you want to see it Mr.Kelly
I just recently picked up speed running this game over the past couple of weeks and quite frankly finding it frustrating. I am really starting to understand why there is practically no single segment runs of this.

Does any one plan on doing any SS New game runs?
Also, any new news on the sequence break front?
Hi,
I've also started not too long ago with learning NG segmented and plan to give SS NG a shot once I feel good enough even though I won't use many methods that somebody will see in a segmented run because they are just too damn risky, for me atleast. I haven't really found anything regarding SS NG so it'll be rather slow in the beginning if you want to make it rather save/consistent.
Do you have a twitch.tv channel? Would be interesting to watch others who are actively doing New Game and want to give SS NG a shot.
I haven't done much towards NG SS yet but I prefer to go rather save I dare to say that, if I should be able to finish one once I've planned it out a bit, I could be able to get something between 2:15:xx-2:30:xx.
Well.... it's been almost a full 2 years since me or TheThrillness have posted back on here about this game. We gave up on breaking it and left it at that with the rubble skip and OoB's we found as enough. But now... we are back. Enjoy

Useless, but cool. I'm back glitching this game now.
Description: Found by me. Very interesting stuff. There is also something else crazy you can do with this glitch. Uploading right now.
Description: Found by me.
Using the previous glitch I showed to crash the game in cover with a handgun reload and switching the weapon for another, you can get this crazy glitch! Snake's body will spin around apart from his legs and your controller vibrates nonstop. You can also crouch and get your legs inside the ground!
It seems performing the previous glitch and switching the original weapon to Desert Eagle Long Barrel causes this most. Also it seems to happen more when you attempt the glitch immediately after loading the saved or reloading the area. Still not entirely sure what causes it..
Different weapons sometimes seem to do different things and have different effects, so lots of stuff to test with this! I've crashed the game, froze it, got this, and also got the game to run in super slow motion. Very strange, could get something game breaking from this!
What we found on our first day back! Going to be experimenting a lot more with this new glitch and looking for other stuff tomorrow! TheThrillness also found a glitch in Act 3 where he could progress to the next loading zone in the city. He was trying to go to East Middle Sector I believe, or something along those lines, and the game kept pushing him back. It wouldn't let him go through the loading zone. Very strange. He eventually had to roll/blow himself past it into the loading zone. He also almost got through the wall in the alleyway and over the wall in another part of the city outside Advent Palace that militia drop down from.
Nice to see you guys back into this. I really need to get hold of this game again. I'm looking for that updated anniversary edition but it seems to be hard to find here.
This crash game glitch has me stumped. I can't explain why it works or why it does this.
Last night before bed it crashed 13/13 times for me, first attempt every single time. It's not even hard. I'll have to see if it's because the game is leaving behind bad memory.
It doesn't use the rubble skip glitch in Act 1 which would save probably 10-15 seconds, but other than about perfect. The rubble skip is insanely hard to pull off and was never optimized.
Also I found another new Out of Bounds glitch today in MGS4 glitch hunting with TheThrillness! Enjoy
Description: Found by me.
You simply jump past the fence onto the edge of the rocks, and slide down above the tree, through the ground, and out of bounds you go! ^__^ You can also die DURING the cutscene of the truck breaking into the Vista Mansion haha.
After more searching today in the game, me and Greg didn't find anything major sadly. I'll take 1 day out of 3 though. 2/3 days found a new/out of bounds glitch.
I found some stuff near the end in Act 2 where you can roll through some fences from the other side of collision, and got semi out of bounds at some hills inside rocks and trees, but only for a few feet. Also we got really close in the town outside Advent Palace. There is a window at top of a building me and TheThrillness were blasting ourselves out of at an angle, to reach a balcony of another building. We could make it, but kept falling through as it has no collision. There is another set above it though, but slightly too high to reach, and the angle on the left we hit a wall. There is some boxes to blow ourselves over and land on, but I only got it once and accidentally fell off.
Hopefully tomorrow is a better day for finding new glitches.
