given the rate that the water fluctuates in the A1/PPC version and the 360 version, this would come down to very lucky timing.
the jump on Kill your television is actually easier than i thought it would be. you just wait until the apex of you breaching the water to expend your rockets. momentum is a problem though
So let me just preface this with: I really wise I had a non-stream copy of this run for submission purposes.
That being said.....
After trying so hard to get a WR on this during (and in the PC room at) AGDQ and failing, I managed to pull off a sub 20 time for the A1 version of Infinity. The main changes to the previous WR route is taking the secret exit in Whatever You Please, teleporting a bit earlier on Eat the Path, AR hovering in By Committee and taking the secret skip in ACCIV,I.
Shoutouts as always to Cody Miller for his original run of the game. Shoutouts to ApertureGrillz for figuring out how to skip the jump on ACCIV,I.
Nobody's bumped this thread in a while but we have been quite active! I got M2 in 34:14: and Infinity Kindergarten in 17:56: and Infinity Total Carnage in 23:17:
meanwhile Fennecey absolutely blazed his way through Marathon 1 (on A1) with a 27:36!
We've also put IL leaderboards up on speedrun.com for all 3 games and have been filling those out. Oh yeah, and there's a Discord for the series (plus other hot M2-engine games like ZPC and Wheels!): https://discordapp.com/invite/GzpeUZ3
I've got an exciting announcement: the Marathon series finally got a run accepted for GDQ! I'll be running Marathon Infinity on Total Carnage at SGDQ 2017! Real excited for this one.
Oh yeah, and TBCR and I have done co-op runs of all three games now. M1 is pretty buggy so we weren't able to get a good time, but M2 we completed in 30:59: Infinity I don't think we made a video of, but it was faster than my solo WR if I remember right.
