Uranium: What length are you aiming for with these videos? I only ask because I want to know how liberal I should be with the clips I suggest. Also, is it going to be a separate video for bloopers and highlights, or a combined one?
Best Mario Galaxy highlight, Flip-Flopping in Flipsville: 2:33:45 - 2:35:00 (you can also include the mini-boss fight if you want - it goes perfectly, but is kind of boring compared to the rest of the level)
Other good stars if you're being more liberal with clip suggestions: 14:31 - 15:15 27:59 - 29:51 31:45 - 32:05 1:32:10 - 1:33:35
Cutting it ultra-close on Lava Lair Speed Run (Highlight? Blooper? You decide :P): 4:10:42 - 4:11:15
Best Mario Galaxy bloopers: 3:46:30 (someone donates for Mike to punch me in the arm) 1:11:50 (probably the most ridiculous way I've ever died) 2:12:24 (after a long struggle with the level, I'm about to finally reach the way point before the boss when Yoshi suddenly...spontaneously combusts? What actually happened was that I spit the bullet bill out while aiming too low, but it looks as though the game truly hates me) 4:07:15 (the teleporter beam fails to pick me up. I've never had this happen before)
Again, if you're being liberal, you may also consider including my extremely unlucky Bowser Jr. fight, but it's not that funny, just terrible: 3:26:00 - 3:28:00
Mega Man (1) blooper: 6:50 - 7:22 (after getting knocked off the ladder twice in a row in the same spot, Andrew reluctantly decides to play it cautiously...and then proceeds to get knocked off anyway)
Yoshi's Island blooper: 1:01:38 (missing the early piranha plant boss kill)
Super Mario 64 (120 stars) Josh sleep-cam: 1:14:00 is around the time when people start putting things on him 1:55:40 is when he wakes up, but you're probably already including that if you have the Tick Tock glitch
Right now the longest from a single game I have is the Duct Tape Chronicles at just shy of 5 minutes. I have about 40 minutes of total footage in the highlight reel so far. I don't know if I have a hard limit, but 2-3 minutes per game at the most is probably about right unless a lot of context is needed.
I'm about to go to sleep so I'll work on it more tomorrow.
I'll nominate the key door skip in Blaster Master for a highlight, due to it getting pulled off on the first try and the room's reaction afterward. 19:40-19:55 (or 19:40-20:20 if you want to include the explanation of the trick)
Oh gawd i just tend to ignore people who type Rain, or Raine, or Reign, or whatever else.. -- RANE and it wasn't like i didn't go in the chat as a mod... >.> nor that my name was on the schedule...
Also it wasn't that i was irritated i was just listening to really loud music, if the volume of my voice was obvious --; i wish someone would've tapped me to let me know to go quieter... I was trying to focus and unfortunately I have a bad habit of not keeping focused on one thing at a time, so the music was to help me focus on my game and not the room/rom/satoryu.
most clips are already noted but.. Magic doghouse - LA:DX (glitch) 4:30 -> 5:00? just enough to show the glitched dungeon and everyone's rxns.
Other than what's still missing stars I'm pretty much done collecting clips. If anybody has any more suggestions speak up soon.
Also, I broke Avisynth and had to split the script into two parts because it was trying to load too many clips. The final highlight video will be in one piece, though.
imo the highlight of my Super Monkey Ball run was when I succeeded on Master 9. the room was pretty tense at that point. Expert 29 went perfectly, which was good cause that stage can really ruin things quickly
other than that, IDK, maybe some fun stuff like Expert 16, Expert 26, Expert 28 would be good little clips (each a couple seconds)
blooper: Master 3 when I bounced off the goal post and died.
I was curious from all that saw it live, was the RE4 disk break planned? It seemed like it just watching the video "Gee I wonder what's going to happen next? I don't know. Are you sure you don't know? RAAAAAAGE!" Seems like he saw it coming, that it looks like he purposefully ran into the wall. Not saying this makes it any less awesome, I was just curious if it came as a surprise to everyone or did he plan it?
Eisenefaust: It came as a surprise to everyone else in the room (Including MercuryZelda; she was apparently just playing along with him). I can't speak for whether Carc had it all planned in advance or not, though.
You can see in the video where he gets the idea in his head (he says something like, "oh, that's it, I know what I'm going to do now"). I actually didn't know he was going to break the disc--I thought he was going to escape, as per normally playing the game, and that's why I was playing along. I just cracked up laughing so hard when he did break the disc... didn't ever see it coming!
