My feelings on The Demon Rush
Just going to run through all of the stuff I can bring for the marathon. This doesn't necessarily include extra stuff I might bring.

Consoles:

NES (currently bad, but I bought a new 72-pin connector that I will install before the marathon)
SNES
Genesis
PS2 (has slide card for playing imports)
Gamecube with Game Boy Player
GBA SP+ GBA to GC adapter if anyone wants to use a gba sp as a controller.
Japanese Xbox 360 (plays most US 360 games, doesn't play us Xbox games)

Games:

NES - Contra, Super C, Marble Madness, Ninja Gaiden, Mega Man 2, SMB, SMB3, and Battletoads. I know Josh is bringing CV3 because he has my copy of the game.

SNES - Contra III, TMNT4: Turtles in Time, Tetris Attack, and DKC2

Genesis - Sonic 2, Gunstar Heroes, Altered Beast Rocket Knight Adventures (ve is right, I have two copies), and Streets of Rage 2

PS2 - Mega Man X4, Final Fight, Devil May Cry, Metal Slug 3, Sly Cooper, and the most important game, Twinkle Star Sprites

Gamecube - Metroid Prime (it's a 0-00 copy), Super Smash Bros. Melee w/ memory card (for that tournament), Wario Ware Inc. (fun multiplayer game), and Pac-man VS. (we're playing this at the lock-in no matter what).

Xbox 360 - Portal, Trials HD (I have the DLC, pootrain), Final Fight (yeah I have it for this system, too), Castle Crashers, and Bayonetta

Controllers:

1 nes
2 snes
2 Genesis 6-button
1 official ps2 and 1 or 2 logitech wireless
1 corded gamecube controller and maybe a wavebird (I'll bring a hori pad if anyone wants to use it for a game).
1 wired 360 controller, 2 wireless, and a madcatz fightpad

Other stuff:

5 composite cables
3 S-video cables (one has no audio cables with it, but that hardly matters)
1 grabster usb capture device
1 easycap knockoff capture device
1 sombrero

BTW, Emptyeye said that he was going to bring his american 360 for Rock Band, IIRC.
i'm bringing metroid fusion.

wise fwom yo gwave
yea i'll be bringing my console (genesis model 2, i would rather not use it for the run because it doesn't like being moved at all), 2 3 button's, sonic 2 game, and small t.v. for myself for practice/using the sonic 2 cart during the marathon.
I'm accounting for all of my own games and other personal effects.
My feelings on The Demon Rush
Carc, the games part helps, but the other personal effects?

moooh messaged me about mmx. i can bring my own mmx cart. however, please note that the game has frozen on me twice (granted, not in over 4 months, but it has happened), so if anyone else has the game and can conveniently bring it as a backup, that might be good. i also have the x collection on ps2 and could run it on that version if the snes cart has any issues during the lock-in or whatever, though i'd obviously prefer not to use that version.

Fucking Weeaboo
I'm playing ActRaiser on my Wii via VC, since I'm much more comfortable with a Classic Controller for it then an SNES controller (I used to use a PS2 to SNES controller converter, but they kept failing).

And I'm bringing a GCN, Game Boy Player, PS2 controller with PS2 to GCN adapter, and Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land (and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror!).  I need to clean my carts out a bit, since both of the GBA games are a bit dirty on the contacts.

And the Wii also covers Rondo, but I'm bringing my PSP-3000 for Dracula X Chronicles too, for whenever Satoryu and I race that one directly.  And plus I still have no clue how exactly we're pulling this one off.

Updated.
So far the only red flagged game we have is the wii FDS version of Lost levels. I know andrewg is currently looking around for one. If anyone here who are bringing wii happens to have it on VC already, speak up!

Hey now, this is an assumption free topic. Making assumptions when writing pack lists is what causes missing stuff! Tongue
Formerly known as Skullboy
As per the list on page 1, I'll be bringing:
A Genesis (model 2) + controllers, hookups, adapter
Aladdin (Genesis)
Earthworm Jim (Genesis)

I can also bring the following games for the marathon (just to be safe):

SNES: DKC, DKC 2, Kirby Super Star (might be bad), Mega Man X, SMW, Super Metroid, LTTP

Genesis: Gunstar Heroes, Rocket Knight Adventures, Sonic 2, Streets of Rage 2

N64: Banjo-Kazooie, Super Mario 64,  Majora's Mask, OOT

PS1: SOTN (music might skip out though), MMX4

PS2: Devil May Cry, The Mega Man and X Collections, the Sonic collection

I will also be bringing the following (non-marathon)
A Sega 32X
Another system or two (haven't decided yet) + games

Consider it done.  I'll have Mega Man 9, Super Mario Lost Levels, ActRaiser, and Rondo of Blood installed and ready to go.

Thanks for covering us on the Wii front, VG.

I don't know either. Are you still going to do the old and new side-by-side idea? Or will it just be a head-to-head race on Dracula X Chronicles? Are PSP-3000's annoying to rig up to a TV?

No need. The plan, last I checked, was we were all racing on the PSN version. There will be at least 3 PS3s there according to this thread, and I said I'll buy the downloadable game for any of them that didn't already have it. That's a fairly valuable disc, so I wouldn't carry it around for fun. :p

Also, not sure if we're keeping track of this or not, but it's nice to make sure that we have enough capture devices for the 4 way OoT race, so I'm bringing my Dazzle.

No, not hard at all.  Plug one end into PSP, plus AV cables into TV.  Mine is a little more confusing then the average one since it covers both component and composite.  The only real issue is that the PSP runs on a small box in the center of the TV, so it needs to be cropped, kinda like the GB Player.

Alright, that settles the last red game. Now we'll only need response from 3 more people and we should have a complete list when it comes to games.

I added you as backup for some of the game you mentioned Skullboy.
I stress this again: If your name has a 'b' after the amount or right after the ending parenthesis of the amount you are Not expected to bring said item. People with b are standby backups in case the status changes for the main ones. The list already accounts for spares by listing at least 1 extra copy for each game as main.

We are, it's under the needed hardware section. With yours we have 6 capture cards available.
My feelings on The Demon Rush
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I'm bringing the webcam we used for last year's marathon, the logitech pro 9000 (I think that's what it's called), just in case if we need spare webcams.
Is PJ
I forgot to mention (maybe?) that I'll be bringing my Dazzle and cords/splitters/whatnot to the marathon also.  Not sure if it's as reliable as the others, but it has worked for me most of the time.  Never hurts to have a backup at least.
Exoray
Added webcam, capture device and Josh's CV games (from correnspondence through PM's)

Also grouped the hardware section a bit so it will be easier to read.
Games I can bring:

- Pokémon Yellow // I will be running yellow
- Super Monkey Ball // nobody is listed for that yet
- Chrono Cross // backup for the NG+ race
- Super Mario Galaxy 2 // backup if necessary

Bring the DVD recorder.  I want to do Kirby and the Amazing Mirror 4P any% (if I get enough people, I know romscout and Mike have expressed interest) and I'm sure we'll need it.  I'm bringing mine too for just that reason.  Better find a way to individualize mine.
