Exoray
Can't have a marathon without actually having the games we want to run. I thought this could be used as a place to coordinate who brings what games/consoles so that we don't end up missing something.

Information on how to read the lists:
Items are written as item name followed by an optional "needed amount" in parentheses.
Persons able to bring said item(s) are written in brackets after the item name where each name is optionally followed by how many of said item the person will be able to bring and/or a comment. If the amount is missing or only contains a comment, the amount is assumed to be 1.
If a number is followed by the letter b, it means that the person has offered to be a backup for the item in question and will not bring it unless specifically asked.
If an item is striked, that means that item is no longer needed for various reasons.
If an item is red it means that the runner that is going to utilize that item explicitly stated that he/she would not be able to bring said item. We need someone else to cover these item(s).

Consoles
Note: for all consoles it is assumed that proper power and video cables are also brought with them. Controllers not assumed to be included, see separate list for those.

The following consoles are needed:
NES (2) [mikwuyma (1), Heidman (1), PJ (1), Breakdown (1), Josh the Funkdoc (1b), romscout (1b)]

Note that for some games with multiple platforms I have guessed the most likely, for some I left them uncategorized due to not being able to guess. If you are a runner of this game or know which platform a certain game is to be played on, please post it.

If you know you are coming and can bring any of these games/consoles, post which you will be bringing and I'll update the list.

Not a walrus
I'm bringing Blaster Master, Metal Storm, and Prince of Persia (SNES), and my own controllers (one NES, one SNES). I wasn't planning on packing a console, but I suppose I can if nobody closer can. My NES works reasonably well.

Edited to clarify controller comment.
My feelings on The Demon Rush
Okay I guess it's better making a topic for this than making sure myself by keeping in constant contact with everyone like I did with the last marathon. Wink

Playstation shouldn't even be on that list, a PS2 covers for both Playstation and Playstation 2. Also, you might want to replace the word carts with games.

I would also mention Gameboy Player needed, but I already have one of those, and I know Breakdown has one.

Consoles I have:

SNES
Genesis (2 actually, but one is a bit too prone to freezing if you touch it while playing)
Gamecube with Gameboy Player (Wii can't use Gameboy Player)
Playstation 2
Xbox 360 (Japanese, so it can't play american Xbox games)

The console I kinda have:

1 NES - I think if I get a 72-pin connector replacement, it will work just fine.

Games I have:

Castle Crashers
Castlevania Bloodlines
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Chrono Trigger (Japanese version)
Contra
Contra III
Contra Hard Corps or Shattered Soldier
Devil May Cry
Final Fantasy IV (Japanese hardtype)
Final Fantasy VII
Gunstar Heroes
Katamari Damacy
Lego Star Wars II (gamecube version)
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Mega Man X4 and X6
Mega Man 9
Metal Gear Solid
Metroid Fusion (I think, if I didn't throw it away in disgust)
Metroid Prime
Maybe Metal Slug X
Metal Slug 3
Ninja Gaiden
Prince of Persia Trilogy (sands of time, warrior within, and two thrones, all ps2 version)
Resident Evil 2
Shadow Complex
Shadow of the Colossus
Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master
'Splosion Man
Streets of Rage 2
Super C
Super Mario Bros
Super Mario Bros 3
TMNT4: Turtles in Time
Trials HD
We <3 Katamari (Japanese version)

I might have Castlevania 1 and Rocket Knight Adventures too, but they're both really easy to get even if I don't have them. If Golden Axe is on the PS2 Sega Classics collection, then I have that too.

UA: I doubt you will have to bring a console, but it's good to know you're willing to bring one.
Everybody's favorite monster
Nice, i just posted about this in another topic!
I could bring a playstation 1 and 2 + ff VII and X and the Wii.
These are european versions so i dont know if thats going to be a problem.
If i can get them trough airport security  Wink
Visually Appealing
Dracula X Chronicles is a PSP game, so I'll be bringing my own console and disc there. If I have to bring my PS2 for SotN, I will, but I really don't want to. I can bring my copy of the game no problem, though.

Fixed, totally forgot about this.

Also, you might want to replace the word carts with games.

But, but, carts and consoles is a so much better title than games and consoles!
Fine, replaced all occurences of it since the games as a cart is really an outdated phenomena.

I could bring a playstation 1 and 2 + ff VII and X and the Wii.
These are european versions so i dont know if thats going to be a problem.

There would be no point in bringing european consoles, since they normally can't play NTSC games (unless the ones you have are modded). As for the games, they will most likely play in PAL speed so the runners of those games will prefer having the NTSC versions of them.
Willing to teach you the impossible
For sure I can bring my NES (1 controller), SNES (1 controller), 2 GC (2 controllers). I also plan on bringing my games as well. Contra (acts up almost all the time), Super C (perfect), Double Dragon NES (I know its not on the list but its still fun to play and you never know, its also perfect), Super Metroid (perfect), Super Double Dragon (mainly as a backup if we need to fill in 45ish min at any point in time, also perfect), DKC1 (perfect), GameCube Game Boy Player with disk, and I am also doing my best to bring along a TV with me and my capture card with splitters and A/V cables. I will see if my family can part with the PS2 (1 controller) and the Wii (2 controllers) for a few days since they are not mine but I am unsure about them (but they never get played anyway).

Edit: I forgot I also have SMB 2 and 3 (both perfect)

Yeah, i kinda figured something like that. Oh well, if i can help any other way just let me know.
Everything's better with Magitek
I can bring all the games that I'm running, which are:
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy X
Donkey Kong Country 2
Dr. Mario (NES or N64 version, though everyone knows I'd prefer N64)
Lego Star Wars II (PS2 version)

I'll also bring my PS2 memory card, since I'll be doing a new game+ run for FFX.
My feelings on The Demon Rush
Moooh: Something confusing about the Japanese 360 is that it plays most American 360 games just fine (Halo 3 and Rock Band/Guitar Hero are notable exceptions), just not American Xbox games.

Trekhaak: What moooh said. It's too much trouble to get PAL games to work here in America. If you want to know more, ask PJ how he is doing with Terranigma. Also, American airport security isn't THAT bad, Frezy_Man did manage to get his NES and games through two years ago.

Heidman: Double Dragon wouldn't be a bad choice for the marathon. It's short and classic. I wouldn't worry too much about TVs. It's really easy to get CRTs because no one wants to pay the $25 fee for throwing them out, so people prefer to give them away.

Metal Slug: This is pretty confusing, but there is no good port of the original Metal Slug for PS2. Anthology has so much input lag that dodging the first boss's attacks become a challenge. I swear it's at least half a second. The SNK Classics Collection version also seems to have input lag, but I'll have to play around with it. Metal Slug X also has input lag, but it's not very much and I think it's still playable, but I'll have to try it out. Either Wii VC or Anthology (which I heard has no input lag) might be the best solution.

This isn't a problem for Metal Slug 3 because I have the Japanese PS2 version, which is just like the xbox version, but without leaderboards and some differences in difficulty names.

i've got a ps3, 360, and wii that i'll most likely bring just because i live close. probably won't need any of them but it can't hurt. got 1 ps3 controller, 2 360 controllers, and 2 wiimotes.
depending on where we stay i can also bring my 37" lcd tv.

also will bring uncharted 2, myst (10th anniversary dvd edition), wario land 5 (though i'm sure flip will bring his too), and a bunch of other ps3/360/wii games for people to play during downtime if they want.

i see metal slug on the list -- i've got metal slug anthology for wii if for some reason no one has a copy and doesn't mind playing on wii.

I meant this as I will be bringing the systems with controllers. Sorry for the confusion.

Edit: I also forgot I have 3 GC controllers total, not 2
Exoray
Ah hehe, that 2 GC threw me off and I thought your double counting was just a typo Tongue

Added the consoles you were sure of bringing.
not sure why you put gameboy game under gamecube, but whatever.

i don't know who else is running gba games, but i'm bringing my gba sp with a gamecube/gba cable. i didn't see that on your hardware list.

Quote from BioSpark:

I initially thought having them there was appropriate since they would be played on the GC. This however is not consistent with how I listed playstation games separately, so I changed and split up Game Boy and GBA under their own headers.
Just like previous years, I have absolutely no problem with bringing everything and the kitchen sink. For the list, this means:

Consoles:

- NES in questionable working order, so probably not worth it.
- SNES, but can be 2 if need be.
- Genesis that likes to shut off if you bump the power cord even slightly.
- Gamecube with Gameboy Player attached and 1 without, if need be.
- Xbox with tray opening issues.
- Playstation 2.
- Playstation 3 (fatty).
- Wii (Japanese, but softmodded).

Controllers: 1 SNES controller, 1 NES controller, and 1 Gamecube controller. Can bring a Hori pad too, if someone wants me to.

Games:

NES: Contra, Dr. Mario, Metroid, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tetris, and The Legend of Zelda.

SNES: Kirby Super Star, Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Final Fight, and Turtles IV.

Genesis: Rocket Knight Adventures, Shinobi III, and Streets of Rage.

Gamecube: Metroid Prime 1 and 2, Zero Mission, and Resident Evil 4.

Xbox: Halo and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.

Playstation: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Chrono Cross, Crash 2, Final Fantasy VII, Mega Man X4, X6, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3.

Playstation 2: Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts 2, and Shadow of the Colossus.

Playstation 3: Bayonetta.

Wii: Mega Man 9 and 10 (not recommend to use mine though) and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood.

Sorry about all the repeats. I just don't mind bringing backups anyway. Smiley
#Casual

We all scream for Eyes Cream

I can bring an NES and SNES that are guaranteed to work, and a few controllers for each that usually work.  Likely just 1 NES controller and 2 SNES controllers.

As for games, I'll bring one of every game I plan to run, plus whatever else we need that someone else isn't covering, I guess.
-Battletoads (NES)
-PAL Battletoads if someone wants to do 2P recreationally with me...and if we can play it somehow.  o.O
-Battletoads in Battlemaniacs
-Actraiser

If anybody else has a cart of Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, it might be a good idea to bring it as a back-up because mine tends to do weird things like this:

I can also bring any of the following, if the runner doesn't want to bring his/her own copy, or if someone else didn't offer already:
Kirby Super Star
Super Castlevania IV (if my friend returns it by then...so likely not)
Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts
Super Mario Bros. Lost Levels (through Super Mario All-Stars)
Super Mario World
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Metroid
Super Star Wars
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
TMNT4: Turtles in Time
that Metroidvania guy
I will bring a GB Player device and disc for the Gamecube because it will be necessary for 2 of the Kirby games being played.

I don't really wanna bring any consoles out if I can help it, but I'll put myself on backup for ones I have:

PS2 slim
SNES
working NES!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked
Xbox 360 (can also bring hard drive if for some reason we're missing some XBLA game; I have every XBLA game on the list)
GameCube
N64

I will bring these games for sure since they are ones I am expected to play:

Kirby Super Star (SNES)
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land (GBA)
Kirby's Dream Land (GB)
Kirby & the Amazing Mirror (GBA)
LoZ: Link's Awakening DX (GBC)
Castlevania: SotN (PS1 disc)

I can go on backup for these games since I own them (probably not necessary for anything):

Bayonetta (XB360)
Castlevania (NES)
Castlevania 3 (NES)
Chrono Cross (PS1 discs)
Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES)
Final Fantasy X (PS2)
Ghosts N' Goblins (NES)
Katamari Damacy (PS2)
Mega Man X4 (PS1)
Mega Man X6 (PS1)
Metal Gear Solid (PS1)
Metroid Fusion (GBA)
Metroid Prime (GCN)
Metroid Prime 2 (GCN)
Super Metroid (SNES)
Tetris Attack (SNES)
Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past (SNES)
Wario Land (GB)

One last thing: I will also bring my own controllers, but of course you'll be welcome to use them since they are indeed cooler than yours. Grin
Can't we just make the runners responsible for their own games? It seems a little bit unnecessary to list games unless you have routine problems with your copy of a game (Read: NES games).

Either way, I'm bringing my PS3, RE4 (Wii) and RE5. And a 19" TV for my own personal use.

Sounds good to me.

Yea, I also agree.  I was more or less posting in case someone had an issue with their own carts.  Since that is a pretty rare situation though, it does seem pretty unnecessary.

That being said, if someone wants to bring a spare Btoads in Battlemaniacs cart which always works, I would be grateful.  Otherwise, we might have a very interesting run on our hands.  Haha.  Mine almost always works, but when it doesn't it REALLY doesn't.
You got a deletion wish?
I'll be bringing my PS3 for Thexder Neo (it's only available via the PS Store) and I don't know anyone else here who has the game themselves.
