30 explosives...ouch. We'd need at least 1 bomb drop in the temple for that to work, and more likely 2. And I'm not sure if there are any bomb drops in the temple.
There are those exploding rock things in the mirror room with the sun block, 2 to be exact. Theres enough space between the sun block you hover over and the corner so you can get both on the right and left side of the sun block then go in the door to the wind current room. I think it will save time if you wont have to go too far out of the way for the explosives.

I know rupee routing would be a beast if we did this but how long does it take to get the bomb bag upgrade?

If you buy it on night of the third day, not that long. However, it's not available until 10:00 pm, leaving you with not a huge amount of time to complete STT. However, the extra 10 chus it gives would save only 35 seconds per use. Since it comes so late, it probably wouldn't get used much, so the time it takes to get + the time it takes to gather rupees would probalby not make up for it.
If we get it by completing the Sakon event (also getting the Blast Mask), we lose an enormous amount of time from said event, probably far more than we could make up for with bombchu hovering.
It leaves out the Great Fairy Sword after STT, and I'm assuming you meant to put the All Night Mask at the end of cycle 3 instead of during cycle 4, but there weren't any other problems that I noticed.
most discussion about MM took place in the topic of the TAS forum, so Petrie and I didn't post all the tricks recently discovered.
I feel like posting them all here:
Ultimate Snowhead Temple Boss Key Skip:
Ultimate Great Bay Temple Boss Key Skip:
Mega Hover:
Some uses for Mega Hover:
Stone Tower Boss Key Skip with 11 explosives:
Endless Superslide from Mega Flip in MM:
Mega Flip in MM is pretty much a TAS only, so the only useful thing for a non-TAS is the "Ultimate Great Bay Temple Boss Key Skip". It let's us skip nearly everything of Great Bay Temple with only 10 explosives or something and it's really easy as well
I took Petries 100% route for a testrun and it mostly worked out well exept for a few places. Heres the edited route.
Areas in red text are edited.
Main Changes
*Honey and Darling 3 had to be moved up because they're not at the shop after 6 PM on the final day which also means graveyard bottle had to be postponed until after sakons hideout *Secret Shrine had to be postponed due to lack of hearts
-it would be better to just postpone honey and darling until the last cycle. They can be replaced by the shooting gallery and treasure box games. -Goron mask before talking to the baby goron I understand, but why not have hovering to the HP before Goron Mask? -Play ISoT? Hmm...I'd prefer not to. I'll see what I can do about that part. Rosa Sisters is easily moved. -Secret shrine has to be delayed? Really? We should have exactly 16 HCs by that point. -I figured the Bio Baba HP could just go in the last cycle. It's not that out of our way when Light Arrowing bubbles, and it saves us a SoS, not to mention the long trek back to Termina Field. -Good catch on the GB cliffs HP. -You can catch fish in the Bay itself, but good to know you only need 3 of them. We can get the fish pretty much any time after the beavers' bottle, then.
I think that covers all of them.
Attached is my edited version...I'm not highlighting what's changed, but it's basically the same as my old one. Bio Baba is moved to cycle 4 and Honey and Darling 1+2 are replaced by the Shooting Gallery and Treasure box game, respectively. I count exactly 16 missing HPs when we do the secret shrine, so unless I'm missing something, we should definitely have the 16 needed HCs. Fish, cliffs, and Goron shrine are fixed, as are the two errors PMIT mentioned.
You forgot to factor in Gyorg's heart container for the 16 hearts. By the time you enter the secret shrine you need to have collected 38 HP's if no Gyorg HC. Your route collects 15 HP's after the secret shrine, a few too much. It either has to be postponed or move other HP's up.
I still think I should stay away from MM routes though >_>.
damn, you're right. I could have sworn I counted that. Oh, well, it would take too much time to move up Heart Pieces, so we have 2 options...
1) move the Great Bay area up ahead of Stone Tower area 2) move Secret Shrine to later
the latter costs us a SoS, while the former means we don't have the GFS for GBT. This will slightly lengthen the Gekko Battle, but the real question is how this affects Wart. To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure if my Wart quick kill strat works with the Gilded Sword.
OK, here's a list of the item values for MM. They're like the RBA item values in OoT, but in MM they're not really useful except for making cheat codes.

Spoilered 'cause the list is really long (~120 entries)
If you hack them into the menu, they will appear there. However, if you use them, they'll just be a Pictograph box. Also, their description will be in Japanese.
does anyone know what the estimated time is for an any% of MM, TAS or non-TAS? Theres alot of new tricks that i haven't seen before that look like they could save alot of time.

maybe even an updated route while your at it
I'd say for TAS, less than 2 hours since MrGrunz has been finding SB's and Boss key skips.
I almost got it hacked by being dumb. I accidentally sent my username password to the wrong email because I forgot my own. Then I thought that I would sooner or later get hacked so I just closed it before it caused any problems. So here's a new start.
i remember there being an unbreakable deku stick trick in OoT that i used to do for fun but i'm not sure if thats what your talking about. In that one i would just jump off a fence and swing my stick with a jumpslash at a wall, and if the deku stick breaks while in mid-air it becomes shorter and never breaks again until you put it away.
You should post the TAS route here, I want to see it lol
