How are you planning on getting the hookshot if you dont have the bow to shoot the bees nest, or is this guy just insanely pro at aiming with bombchu's

OK, so I found a wifi place in the campsite. Anyway, just felt like answering this...
I'm sure you know exactly what you're doing, but I'm wondering why you teleport back to Clock Town/Termina before saving.
I don't want to start every attempt at the next segment with the Song of Soaring cutscene. It's REALLY annoying to start segments with a cutscene, so it's generally best to avoid it when possible. This is especially true in Snowhead, with the Lullaby scene.
No that's not exactly what I meant... I meant why aren't you continuing right on to the first temple, seeing as you're right there. I'm just not familiar with the MM route (at least the sequence breaking one).
So, here's an attempt at segment 4. It could definitely be improved, but it's a little hard to get the sword glitch first try on a bomb. Which, come to think of it, sounds really weird coming from me...
Anyways, here it is
EDIT: Now THAT's interesting. My subsequent attempts have found a surprisingly high incidence of freezing when the game tries to load mountains access. Nearly 50% of the time it does this. This is a little off-putting, although it's not quite as bad as the one time it froze when I checked the Owl Statue. Oh, that was BAD...
EDIT2: Scratch that, I have a better one. 8:15-8:50. Here it is
Nice job. Like you said, there're a few alignment errors, but it's good enough in my book. Time to move on! Looks like you've got a longer segment next time.
Segment 6 won't come until I figure out why the game won't properly save Hot Spring Water. If you interrupt and immediately reload that same file, it's fine, but otherwise, it'll cool as soon as you load it.
Any help in this area would be much appreciated. And where the hell is everyone?

I'm here
Wow that is a problem.I think the best thing to do is redo the segment and use the spring water in seg 5.It might be a long segment but at least you won't have the HSW problem
Well, that's the backup plan. However, at the moment I'm looking for a course of action that doesn't result in me redoing segment 5.
I'm asking over at TASvideos for some help, too. A way to monitor the memory address that governs the HSW timer would be really, REALLY nice. However, until I get a response from them, we can try to work it out empirically. Here are the results I have so far.
1) Interrupt saving and loading another file or turning off the game and then coming back result in instant cooling.
2) Interrupt saving and then immediately loading the file again works fine.
3) Interrupt saving and then copying the file to the other slot and loading that slot works fine.
Now, being on Epona has those three properties, too, but there doesn't seem to be anything analogous to the Epona anywhere glitch for this.
:wallbash: So I found the memory address for the HSW timers for each bottle. It's pretty simple, too. It starts at 6000 and counts down every frame and cools at zero. This means, BTW, that HSW actually lasts 1:40 and not 2:00 as commonly thought.
Anyways, when you load up an interrupt save, it still loads the timer correctly, but for some reason, it drops to zero instantly instead of counting down. At this point, I'm fairly confused as to why this happens, and I think I'd have to look at the actual code to figure it out. Since I REALLY don't want to do that (and I don't really know anything other than BASIC, anyway), I think I'll just redo segment 5 to not include an interrupt with HSW. I think it's best to save right before climbing the wall.
Good news, everyone! I have segment 5 redone. Expect a youtube video once it gets through anri-chan.
EDIT: here it is
Also, after looking into that HSW thing a little more, it seems that the things that run off the game timer, like HSW, have a very complex interplay, as if you try to change the value in the address it often has no effect. I'm not going to look into it anymore, as it really would require a precise understanding of the game code to figure out, but at least now I can be certain it's hopeless.
