Quote from bmn:
I take it we don't have any commentary recordings?

I downloaded Bloodlines to have it for viewing purposes, and it's commentary is attached right to the video, so lucky there. Unsure on other videos.
some people were recording commentary on the 2nd stream as far as i know. and I believe commentary was recorded along with the game when the commentary was on the game stream.  so I guess its a matter of remembering/finding out who was on commentary for each game and PMing them to see whether anyone recorded it.  This seems to be something not thought about when setting up this marathon (no one's fault, it was set up in a short time and was very successful i think).  So perhaps in the future (if this type of marathon happens again) keep track as the marathon is going on who recorded what and keep that on record.  just an idea...

As it goes for my run (lara croft and the guardian of light), puwexil did record commentary and I have the recorded run as well, both are uploaded and ready to be encoded.  as for other runs, i dont know.

My feelings on The Demon Rush
http://mikwuyma.quandra.org/jrdq

RKA footage now up. The not ready file is just a minute of me failing to set up the race. I just included it in there for the sake of being complete. The races I hosted don't have any commentary on them. I know someone else (I think tjp) was hosting the commentary for the Prime race, and Romscout thinks lag.com was hosting the commentary for Contra III and SOTN.

The torrent: I stopped torrenting because it looks like there's two seeds and Nate got it. If I'm wrong, I can restart the torrent.

NXRunner: A lot of runs have commentary in the video. I know all of my runs do.

tjp7154: I'd say it's worth uploading. Better to have some commentary than none at all.

I have what appears to be the commentaries to Metroid Prime 1 (possibly 2 as well?) and SMG (Super Mario Galaxy?), which is split into 3 parts for some reason. Together it's over 2GB, so I guess I could either torrent it or if anyone knows how to handle .f4vs and get them into a real codec or something, that would work as well. Currently, I can't even get them to play in anything to check what they are.

Sorry to be so late to doing this, didn't find where FME was saving the videos until tonight, even though I thought I was pretty thorough in my search before.

Aftermath: Handbrake is a wonderful thing.  You could use that to encode them and see what they are (the default on it is MP4s i believe).  but, I dont know what the encoders would like to have, though others have been uploading .f4v files.  nate also mentioned that you can torrent the files to him, so PMing him would also be the way to go.

If you use and happen to have trouble with Handbrake, PM me and I'll help you out
Everything's better with Magitek
Sorry for taking so long to upload these.

Startropics, Dr. Mario, Tetris Attack, and Donkey Kong Country 2:

Lego Harry Potter:

All videos contain commentary as well.
FMLE saves to an unfinalised format that needs processing with an Adobe tool called f4vpp.
THIS RUN CONTAINS SECRET WORLDS
I have a question: does anyone know where I can find the 61-star Super Mario Galaxy marathon run? I missed it and still haven't had an opportunity to see it. It's not on Nuage13's channel and I can't find it elsewhere on YouTube. I don't mean to be a bother, but it seems so easy to find almost everything else and yet this one run is arbitrarily elusive.

Edit: I should probably be asking this instead: has anyone even recorded yoshifan's SMG run?
I would PM yoshifan about that.  I dont remember who hosted the commentary call. might have been Arrow or yoshifan, perhaps one of them recorded it.

Thanks for the tip brassmaster.

Oh!  Sorry for not following up on this at all till now, but I still have my Super Mario Galaxy run from JRDQ - it's recorded on DVD, LP quality.  About 3 hours and 3 GB.

I was thinking of encoding it in Anri-chan myself, but if a HQ encode is preferred, then I don't think I have the disk space to make the New Master File right now.  Maybe I could torrent someone the DVD files instead of uploading them to a site?

(Also, good to see the commentary's there, I was wondering if it was saved.)

This. I was looking for some research in some of the vids. Any chance we can get the final versions to have a page in the "Features" on the main page?

If nate makes an archive bucket for them I can start uploading the stuff we have. Encoding has taken a back seat to SGDQ for the time being.
ua, just go to www.archive.org/create/name_of_desired_identifier
