Didn't catch this during the marathon and just watched it now, and i had to mention this but if you are interested in running this game more in the future, make you sure watch when you time your spear thrusts during your jumps, you are doing it too late on a lot of the jumps and causing the character to lag on landing. Also on normal you should think about more spots to damage boost through enemies after losing your spear upgrade, its pretty easy to just jump into enemies, get hit to the right and skip them. If you are interested in running this game further, i have a ton of tips as well. Oh, and you should be counting how many candles you hit because you seemed to be surprised when the max spear upgrade appeared a few times, but its not actually random, it always occurs when you hit the same number of candles. Would be cool to see someone work on an improvement to my expert run, as rom guessed i haven't touched this game since i finished the run as this game nearly drove me insane over a 6 month period of time with the number of times i made it out of hte first 2 stages.

Yah, I honestly couldnt remember how many candles it was exactly, as bad as that sounds I kinda just whipped it together, and STILL botched it bigtime. Especially in Stage 5...lets not talk about Stage 5.
But yah I wouldnt mind seeing some notes on the game since I DO really enjoy it, just left fairly bitter after THAT showing >_>.

There was some issues with the commentary audio. It's barely audible for the first half of the game, and then it cuts off when it was changed to the other stream. The game audio sounds great, though. I stopped the stream at the beginning of the credits due to time constraints, but the final in-game time ended up being 24:26.

aaand I can't upload the better-quality vobs to megaupload because they're too big, so here are the HQ encodes: (there's a few chunks of video missing because my dvd recorder sucks; I'm missing a chunk in Sonic 06 between the Crisis City results screen and Iblis 1, and in Metroid Prime, I'm missing a chunk between Root Cave and the room with the missile door on the way to Artifact Temple, and again between the Impact Crater teleporter and Phazon Core... the latter two cause sound desync (474ms for the first one, 835ms for the second) and the missing sections are on the flv... sonic 4 is fine)

My feelings on The Demon Rush
Torrent containing DVD footage of all of the runs done at my place except for God Hand (forgot to record on the DVD recorder) and RKA (used emulator and need to upload the flv). I still need to get some of my commentary up, like Contra 3 and Metal Storm.
