Hello Everyone. My name is Brian. I've been interested in speed runs for awhile, but after seeing SGDQ last year, I got even more interested. Now that AGDQ is happening, I decided to make an account. There are a few games I would like to run, but can't stream it just yet.
Hey i'm Lonewolf very new to SDA found out about you guys a few months ago watching AGDQ 2013 on youtube.  I knew people would speed run games but never knew there was a community.  I actually tried to speed run portal on my own time and thought I did pretty good.  Thought I would join this community and try to be an actual runner and help this awesome community.
Ive been a fan for a long time, and have been streaming games since 2011, im currently working on a speedrun WR and will post more about it later.
Hey everyone, just thought I'd post here first to introduce myself. I've known about speedrunning for a long time but have only really gotten into it through the marathons you guys have ran. Much love from Australia, you guys are cool.
Sup! I'm Spencer, but prefer to go by Egg. I'm a 22 year old college student in Canada. I've loved video games since I was a kid. I first discovered speedrunning last April after stumbling across Siglemic's SM64 runs on YouTube. I instantly fell in love and decided to take up the game myself. I've managed to obtain some pretty respectable times in a short period and my goal is to become a top player. I discovered SDA last summer during SGDQ which had me glued to twitch throughout the marathon, and the same can be said about AGDQ 2014. I absolutely admire and respect what this community is all about and I'm happy to finally get around to becoming a part of it. I stream at www.twitch.tv/liveegg. Nice to meet you all, here's to fun times ahead!
Runner in training.
Hey all,
I've been running Demon's Souls and some Dark Souls for a while, but am looking into running some other games for a change of pace. Looking forward to being a member of this fantastic community and hopefully attend one of the marathons. Thanks so much for reading this and I wish you all good races and runs.

Hello all , Taku_ here I finally have gotten around to making a forum account ^^  I do a lot of casual playthroughs on my channel and am trying to find the right game for me to speedrun.  I usually lurk around in a lot of megaman channels, have done a few races.  One of my goals this year is to actually sit down and do a speedrun. right now im looking and thinking about running ducktales: remastered. Eventually if the moons ever align id like to beat SGnG and do that as well.  Cheers to this awesome community
Creator of the Atlas Video™
Hey speed runners,

I'm mainly here as a fan of your work and also to offer anyone willing to participate in some fun collaborative projects! For the last couple of years I've been featuring runs from people in the TASVideos community in Atlas Videos (watching 10 seconds of any video will quickly explain what I'm doing). I've always wanted to extend the offer to really anyone willing to participate so here I am.

I don't want to spam the forum with this stuff which would probably annoy everyone so for now I'll just post this here where it will quickly get buried and never looked at again after 1 day. But, I might PM a few people who run specific games I'm interested in working on as well.

Thanks, and if you're interested then don't hesitate to contact me!

-Andy
Hi, I'm pancaek, yet another newbie riding in on the AGDQ 2014 hype train.  I first discovered speedrunning when I found SGDQ 2013.  After that I started watching various runners on Twitch and eventually decided to make my own stream.

Right now I'm working on The Immortal (NES version).  That game destroyed me when I was a kid, so now I'm going to destroy it back.  At this point I'm just working on managing my expectations and trying to die less frequently than I currently do.

One of these days I'd like to make it to a GDQ.  You all seem like a pretty cool bunch of people to hang out with.
Hello everyone !

Seka here. I've been watching speedruns and lurking on SDA and SRL for more than a year now. At first I was just amazed by the work of runners, until I recently learned about Tiny Barbarian and started to run it, casually (actually 6th on leader boards, way behind best runners). I'm also training on Tomb Raider 2013, which I find really fun with all its glitches, but I'm really bad for now.

I like every kind of games, awesome or aweful, and most of the time I'm watching some stream or looking for games to run !
Hi everybody,

I'm orobebop, 24 years old and french.
I am interested by speedruns since the last Crystals for life and i love (almost) Final Fantasy episodes in particular the 7 and 8.
So, at present, I'm making a FF8 multi segments speedrun : it's so exiting and this is a challenge for me.

See you next time
Salutations,
Been watching AGDQ and thought I would check out this website. Been gaming since I was a toddler and have a few games in mind that i would like to attempt a speed run on. Im entering this completely blind as to where to begin. I thought perhaps recording a playthru and scrutinizing the gameplay afterwards. Looking to Run (Genesis Ghouls n Ghosts) for my first attempt at something. I dont wanna copy some other run as i will lose interest. Seems that the progress and improvements will help drive me to keep up the work.

Time to get started I guess.
Hi,

My real name is Florent. I have a very very bad skill in English, but I'm a speedrunner of 'Fallout 2' and I need to communicate with the community and I like the world of Speedrun.

See you !
I Farted Out Of My Ears
Hey guys, names Riley, been interested in speedrunning for years, figure I might as well take the first step.
Most of the time im playing Metal Gear or Sonic, mostly switching between the two. Not good at games at all, but I try my best.
Hello everyone!

I'm Nate and I recently got interested in trying out speedrunning.  I used to do casual speedruns of LttP with my buddy using two tv's/SNES/LttP in the same room and racing.  Recently, I have been watching AGDQ14 and it sparked a renewed interest and I want to really get into it!

I play a lot of PC games and, less often, my WiiU/PS3/3DS.  Looking forward to spending more time around here!
'lo everyone.

My name's Bryce I'm 22 from Colorado, I met some of you before in Denver at SGDQ2013. I had an absolute blast and was inspired to pick back up a few of the games that I had done some casual speedrunning of in the past. Namely, Goof Troop Co-Op runs with a buddy of mine who's been into speed running as a spectator for a while. We're down to a fairly consistent sub-30, and continuing to shave time off slowly but surely.

I'm a huge, HUGE fan of doing blind races of games, so if you're ever looking to throw down on a random blind race, I'm definitely interested.

Anyway, AGDQ this year has resparked my hype for this community and not just speed running in general, and I'm going to definitely be throwing my name into the hat for helping out & possibly doing a run at SGDQ2014.

Looking forward to becoming a full-fledged member of this excellent community myself.

Cheers!

Hey everybody! My name is Alison, and I've been a fan of SDA and speedruns for 7+ years. I've been watching the AGDQ/SGDQ marathons since the beginning, and I'm finally creating an account on the forums. Better late than never, I suppose. I've been a gamer since I got an NES when I was 2. I've done some casual speedrunning over the years and hope to maybe contribute something to this site eventually.
Dubforce - Black Mage
Hey guys, names Dubforce. I've been interested in speed running for a long time now, but just haven't found the right game for me yet. All the AGDQ hype made me sign up, and I'm mainly here to choose a game. I'm going to be looking around the forums mainly for a game with interesting mechanics/general interest from the speedrunning community. I play smash bros. melee a lot, and I really enjoy tight mechanics. Hopefully the game for me is out there and I can find it, and become a part of the speed running community for that game.
Hey everybody!

Hi guys, you can just call me Maneki, Neko, or Maneki Neko if you want. You can include the 3, too, I guess, cause I use the same name in most places nowadays!

I mainly got into speedrunning by watching Cosmo's stream, like many others, I imagine. Another reason being I love some competition and I think speedrunning has a much more friendly community than other competitive scenes I've tried (Dota 2, fighting games, etc). After watching AGDQ last year I got really inspired to try it out myself, but it sort of fell through the first time. Watching SGDQ and then AGDQ again this year has gotten me excited to give it another go. From the start, the game I chose to be my first run was the La Mulana remake. I've been practicing a few days now and I can definitely say that this feels like something I have the patience to take on. I hope to start streaming when I've learned the majority of the route, I can tell it'll be a fun experience.

If anyone else is learning La Mulana, let's learn together!
Hey all, the name's Arron (yes it's spelled like that), but I tend to go by Oreos. I've been gaming my whole life, and I got really into Let's Plays a couple summers back with a friend. Now that I'm in college, there's been no time for that, but through watching AGDQ 2013 on YouTube and 2014 live this past week, I've decided that speedrunning is something I would really like to try out. I've got no idea what I'd like to run, but since this community seems to be really awesome anyway, I'll let that come when it comes and just focus on learning the ropes for now. I'm looking forward to interacting with all you awesome people, and maybe someday getting something of my own out into the world.
Hello everyone, I'm Genericjoey. I've been watching speedruns for a while now, (2-3 years now, maybe?) and I finally decided I'm going to start running some games, I figured since AGDQ is happening maybe it's time to make an account and start playing some games! I'd like to get to know the community and have a fun time doing this. (:
Hey there, 'sup?

I'm Rethak or just Reth for short. Im coming from Germany and I've been watching speedruns for a while, 1 year or so, probably more. Planned on running a game for a while now, but never knew which game.
So, AGDQ this year helped me to come up with something: BioShock (Infinite)! Hope to find a few guides/tips or whatever on the forum Wink
Unfortunately, I wont be streaming regularly due to bad bad internet connection (though I have a 16k connection every 2 weels or so), maybe it'll work with that Cheesy

So, see ya next mission Wink

i've been streaming on twitch for just over a year now and started speed running (silent hill 3) for a few months. learning all the details of a game to get the fastest fascinates me. but i've been doing running sh3 alot lately and have gotten some good times and decided it might be time to submit a run or two.
Yea we're watching...
I like speed running but I'm looking for that game I want to run will see in time....thanks for any support. Smiley
