Hi, I'm fummy. I got into speedruns when I saw zoast run Super Metroid at SGDQ and I was blown away of how skillful he was. Afterwards I started to watch other speedruns from Go1den and Cyghfer and I was hooked. Initially I didn't favor speedrunning but now after watching zoast's mastery of one of my favorite games on the SNES, I'm a changed person. I am currently setting up my stream for games I like to attempt to speedun, so I hope you guys will support by watching. Smiley
Hello!

Names Konsetsu or kon for short. Enjoy playing all types of game's really. Started on Dizzy for the spectrum ZX and now adays play ps3/psp/pc/snes (with my partners little girl). I was speaking to Nord and he said that I should get involved in helping route GTA5 100% or help in whatever way I can.

I have enjoyed watching the following people over the last 2 years I have lurked SRL and would like to say thank you
Funkdoc, cosmo, extraguy, aphox, tri-hex, bertin, werster, kotti, spike vegeta, puwexil, blueglass, Dxtr, SJ, fuzzyness, and all the other wonderful people who attend (S/A)GDQ to raise money for good causes.

I don't currently stream due to having slow internet speeds and no HD capture device, however I would like to do some speed run related things that one day in the future may involve me uploading to youtube or similar.

Fun facts:  Im a boy and I like fast things
"it's all about the game"

Speedrunner galore! :D
My name is John, I love to speedrun games in my spare time. The first one I completed was Dark Souls, soon I am planning on recording. I live in Ohio, Lorain and ive been gaming since I was 5. I enjoy finding glitches in games because they help me complete levels faster which will be great for a future speedrun. I enjoy shooters, adventures, and RPG style games, but I love beat em ups. Been gaming since 95 up until now and have not regret it since! As of now, im working on trying to do a speedrun on one of my favorite childhood games of all time, Banjo Tooie, and im planning on speedrunning it without any cheats in game, just glitches only.
The Safety Officer
Hey everyone, I'm TheLovableTroll. I've been into speedruns for a long time, but only recently started attempting them myself. I primarily focus on RPG's and TBS (because they take forever and are generally my favorite games), and finding ways to finish them is awesome. I have been working on speedruns for the Shining Force series recently, and thought I'd drop by here to post my progress and get feedback from more experienced runners.

I haven't currently finished any runs worth mentioning, but hopefully that will change with my Shining Force 1 and 2 runs. Tongue
Professional Spider-Man
Hey guys, I'm Sammy!
I'm an imagery analyst for the army (intel stuff), and recently stumbled upon SDA on youtube while i was bored on guard duty.
Its seriously recharged my taste for the flavor of not just more old school gaming, but gaming altogether. The day after i watched a speed run of monkey ball and super mario sunshine, i went and bought another gamecube, and i plan on buying a capture card and a few more consoles to start doing some streaming of my own here shortly.
I'd really like to get into speed running, though i haven't the slightest clue on what title i should try first!
Really looking forward to becoming an active member of the community here, and hopefully be able to make one of the marathons if i get the time off next year. thumbsup
Soulless Killing Machine
Greetings.  Games and books have always been a passion of mine, especially gruesomely difficulty settings on games. I have been watching speedruns for about two years now and I have decided that it is time to do my own after watching Ari 'Rapu' Taitto's Shadow of the Colossus run, and then Derek Taylor's Resident Evil 4 run back to back.  It was kind of like a switch was hit after I finished them.  Definitely good stuff.
I am extremely stubborn and can be a perfectionist at times to the annoyance of my coworkers (lol), which may or may not benefit me in the endeavor.  I plan on doing games that I find enjoyable since I do not really have much time to burn.
Hello fellow speedrunners,

It's nice to join you all here at Speed Demos Archive. A long time ago, in a land far away, when I was a small -- smaller at least -- lad, I use to spend a great deal of time concocting ways in which to make the games that I played more difficult. A naive, and rudimentary form of what I would later come to know as speed-running was born from this childish phantasm. Years later, while lurking on one of the numerous image boards that littered the internet, I made a decision that would  follow me for the rest of my life based on the wisest of actions... An internet bet. That internet bet, years of GameFAQS research, and a life long completion-ist creed for video games gave birth to an enduring enthrallment of speed-running. Years later, long after I thought the call, the drive, for speed-running long behind me, when recently I was revisiting the compact disc versions of my childhood adventures I was possessed with a terrible and consuming question: Single segment Legend of Legaia, is it possible?

Could it be possible to tame the rampant beast of that terrible title, that sequestered so many hours of my youth for it's raging demand for grinding? I spent days trying to find the answer. Then my proceeding weeks attempting to find routing, system deconstruction, or anything to use as a starting point to validated the conclusive possibility. Sadly, it seemed there has been rather limited attention applied to the game.

So, my dear fellow members of Speed Demos Archive, here I stand consumed with a question. Brought back to a world I'd long since left behind, I prostrate myself before your collective wisdom, hoping that united we might defeat this beast. I call, praying a wise voice to answer,  for aid in this quest. I seek guidance in my epic.

Mighty Speed warriors, reteach me in thine ways.

Sincerly.

Hello Everyone,
Name is Ty but Khan is a nickname I got a while ago (Long story). Found out about this place while watching speedruns on youtube a few weeks ago and thought it would be cool to join. I haven't done much speed running myself but lately I have found a strong interest in it. I mostly play video games and attempt speedruns when I have downtime from school. To end I'm happy that this community exist and to be a member. Smiley
SNES rules!
Hi everyone,
I'm Le Hulk, from France. (Very) long time lurker, but first time poster here.
I discovered speedrunning several years ago, and the very first speedruns I saw were actually TASes. I didn't know what they were at that time, and of course my mind was blown! Fun memories.

I enjoy almost all kinds of games, eventhough I am more of a Nintendo fan. The few games I speedrun are essentially SNES games; I have completed a few projects (DKC 100%, Aladdin 100%, Goof Troop 1 player and Illusion of Gaia 100%), all on emulator though. I also casually speedrun SMB, Contra, Yoshi's Island, Banjo-Kazooie and a few others, but I'm waaaaaaaayyy worse than top players on those games.

Well, I'm really excited about joining this awesome community!

Hi everyone
I'm Wilbo and I am from Scotland. I've been interested in speedrunning for a long time and finally decided to get into it recently.
I am just doing odds and ends at the moment. A little Metal Slug 3 and some other things.

Currently my focus is on running MGS: Peace walker and routing it for various ways. I hope I can get along with everyone here and have a great time.
Hi im storehehe and im a speedrunner, I speedrun Super Mario 64 since one year back now. My real name is Gustav and I live in Sweden in a city called Karlstad, on my free time i like to spend time with friends or stream on twitch.

I have been a little inactive to the speedrunning community lately but now im back. You can see my broadcasts on twitch.tv/storehehe

I dont have so much more to say, I just wanted to say who I am Thanks for me and have a great time Y'all!
Just started speed running, somewhat casual about it because I have a full schedule. Looking to run games primarily for the 360 because it's the only system I have at the moment. I'm not the best at manipulating glitches so any suggestions for games and how to work the glitches would be greatly appreciated. Right now I'm focusing on running Dragon's Dogma.
Evening gents, the name is Crash. Been watching speed runs for a few years now and have enjoyed all the entertainment, and rage it brings. Now I see myself jumping into it for a new challenge. I was a competitive fighting game player for several years so I find myself hunting for games that can be played on an arcade stick and bringing some execution tricks to the table. Hoping to catch you guys around. Cheers.

Sup guys Smiley
My name is Daniel (aka Saffe) which most people call me. I am watching speedruns a couple of months now and I'm really interested in doing them by myself. I'm pretty sure my first Speedrun will be "La Mulana" 100%. Lets see Cheesy
I'm simple
Hello, everyone. I'm UghRochester. I'm not really a speedrunner, but I enjoy watching speedruns. Simply amazing what people can do with time and a video game. I hale from GameRevolution.com and post way too much there. Trying not to sound like a spammer. Anyways, I did manage to do a speedrun of ICO HD for the PS3. Maybe one day, I do a speedrun of collecting the platinum trophy.

Depending on what Rochester your name refers to, I might have a problem with your name.  Sad

Hello Everyone!

I am CactusQ17(Or just cactus, saying Q17 is a mouthful sometimes) and I've been into speedrunning for a long while now and didn't even realize there was a community for it until a couple years ago. I have spent a LOOOONG time just lurking around SDA's Forums and Speedrunslive but decided it's time to step up to the plate and join a great community to better myself with all there is in Speedrunning and to meet some new and awesome people!

The first game I ever really ran was SM64, I was so proud of finishing the game in an hour, then had my hopes crushed when I found out that a good 16 star time was not an hour lol. I worked hard to get it down to 32 minutes, and then decided that that was not the game for me. I played around with alot of games, LoZ: OOT, LoZ: LTTP, Super Mario Galaxy 1/2, Rayman Legends, and Super Meat Boy to name a few. Only recently did I fall in love with a game, Deadpool. It has definitely become my favorite game to Speedrun (even if it may be tedious). It is the first game I have put alot of effort into routing and making it better, and will continue fine tuning it until I run it dry, then do it some more!

That's my short story and I hope to discuss many games with all of you! Cheesy

Hi my name is Enrique but most people call me Pinecone or just Pine. I've been in love with speedruns since I watched AGDQ 2013 (That Siglemic run was amazing!) and ever since then I just lurked in the forums and now I finally joined to hopefully meet cool people who watch and do speedruns. I speedrun Fatal Frame and I can't say i'm to good but for me the fun is all that matters! Grin So I hope to talk to a lot of you in the future, feel free to message me for whatever. thumbsup
